Anita is a fun loving pitty girl who’s been through it. Anita came to the shelter as a stray. From her chip we can tell she has had 5 owners so far. 5 OWNERS?? From talking to past owners, they said she was a great dog, but due to their life style change they were unable to keep her. She had been around other dogs and kids in the homes. We haven’t had her around them here just yet. Anita loves toys. It’s really her true favorite. She also enjoys walking the trails taking in the sounds and investigating EVERYTHING. She really just wants to be with her people all the time. Her dislike is a crates. Would you like to give Anita her best life? Story
Meet Pickles! Age: Senior Weight: 60 lbs Good with: dogs and kids (not cat tested) House trained: yes Crate trained: yes Fostered in: Lake Geneva, WI Special needs: Glucosamine supplement Are you looking for a snuggle buddy to keep you warm this winter (and going forward)? Miss Pickles may be the gal for you! Also known by her foster family as “Mama Dilly”, Miss Pickles is a 60 pound Pit Bull mix who is the sweetest, most gentle lovebug you could imagine! Her life got off to a rough start down in Tennessee; she was kept outside on a chain in a small, wooden shack. While there, she sustained some damage to her left eye and developed a large mammary tumor. The kind folks at Animal Control took her into their care, and both her bum eye and tumor were removed. Unfortunately the tumor was deemed to be a moderate to higher grade mast cell tumor. While metastasization in the future is a possibility, she currently is not experiencing any symptoms and is looking forward to living the rest of her life to its fullest! Miss Pickles is a little bit.... fluffy. She could stand to lose a couple of pounds. She has some stiffness in her back legs and takes a glucosamine supplement to help; but that may improve on its own after a bit of weight loss. This sweet girl gets along with dogs of all sizes. Cats are currently unknown. She loves chewing on bones (and sometimes on shoes and blankets!), and her most favorite thing is snuggling on the couch. She is potty trained and never has accidents in the house. She is fine with being crated and sleeps perfectly through the night. If you give this lovely gal a second chance at life, you will not regret it - she will pay you back in love and snuggles! Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Meet Carmy! Age: Adult Weight: 50 pounds Housetrained: yes Crate trained: I don't do well in crates and the stress of being in one makes my tummy upset. Good with: Dogs, older, respectful kids (I love the kiddos!) Special needs: I have separation anxiety, so I take meds to help me feel better I'm a super happy and energetic boy and I love my humans so much! My favorite thing ever is to be outside with you – whether we are going for a walk around the neighborhood, a hike in the woods, or playing fetch in the yard. An active forever family would be so much fun! I like to play tug of war, chew on bones, solve brain games, and shake my favorite stuffies. I am super smart (maybe a little too smart sometimes), so I love to learn new tricks for treats! I would love to be the only man in your life. 💖 Since I have separation anxiety, I'll need my medication and an understanding family that is willing to work with me as I get used to their routine. In my foster home, I am now comfortable being home by myself for up to 8 hours during the daytime, but it took me several weeks to work up to that much time alone without being stressed. I'm a pretty quiet dude, but I do bark and jump up when I get really excited – mostly when we are about to go outside for a walk. I’ve been working on my listening skills when I’m excited or distracted and I am getting better! Treats help :) I’m a big cuddler, but, fair warning, I will take up all your personal space on the couch or bed because I like to snuggle close. I can’t wait to find a forever family that is willing learn and grow with me. I promise to pay you back with lots of love and kisses! Carmy is fostered in the Madison, WI area. Story
This is our Pitbull, Flaco. He is very sweet, loving and full of energy. He will be 2 years old in October, he will definitely need some time to get used to a new family. He can be on edge with new people and excited to see new people but unsure about them at the same time. We do have a corgi, cat, and toddler that he is good with but lately him and our corgi have been getting into little fights over personal space (which our pitty has no concept of lol). We recently moved to a little town house and have found it very difficult for him being here as before we had a fenced in yard and could run and do his own thing. We would really like to see him go to a good home with lots of space! He loves to run around and his favorite game is tug of war! He is very strong and we do put a muzzle on him if he will be around people/ pets not familiar with because were unsure how he may act. Once he gets used to people he will get much more comfortable so he will need someone w/ patience.
