Story
Meet Trey! The perfectly pocket sized pittie whose only flaw is his inability to keep his tongue in his mouth. Don’t let Trey’s age fool you, this guy has plenty of energy and is ready to run straight into your heart. Trey is an adventurous, curious guy who’s also down to curl up on the couch for a nap. Trey loves every person and every dog he’s ever encountered and would appreciate being a part of a pack, especially of larger dogs he can chase around a yard and cuddle puddle with. He knows no strangers and his love knows no bounds. Trey has been through a lot over the years. In his original intake at FOR he was suffering from gunshot wounds and 2 broken legs. And yet, after that and his family relocating, he is still so trusting and gentle. You may see evidence of his hard past in the way he flinches when he doesn’t see your hand coming, but his healing is evident in how quickly he melts into the pets afterwards. Trey knows basic commands and is fully housetrained. He is around 60 lbs and believed to be around 9 years old. He is fully vaccinated, on monthly flea & tick prevention, and recently underwent treatment for heartworms. He is fostered in Huntsville, AL, and is available for meet & greets there, if adopted from outside the area his foster has agreed to travel up to 200 miles for transport at no charge to the adopter. Trey has not been tested with cats, and will only be placed in a home with adults and older children (no babies or toddlers).

Story
🌙💙Meet Teddy Oliver Moon (a.k.a. Ollie)!🌙💙 Teddy is a 90-pound bundle of love with the biggest head and the biggest heart you’ll ever meet. This gorgeous tricolor boy is playful, goofy, and so excited to show you just how happy he is, especially when toys are involved! His foster family loves him so much that everyone wanted to name him, so now he proudly goes by Teddy Oliver "Ollie" Moon because one name just isn’t enough for a dog this special. Teddy’s story hasn’t been easy. He was found tied up with another dog and sadly ended up on the euthanasia list at the shelter. His smaller companion was rescued first, and Teddy nearly lost his chance but thankfully, he’s now safe in a wonderful foster home where his true personality is shining through. Teddy is housebroken, crate-trained, good on walks, and great with other dogs. He’s friendly, affectionate, and always ready for fun. Because he’s a big, bouncy boy who can be a little jumpy when excited, we’re looking for an experienced home with older kids (just due to his size). We’ve seen no signs of aggression just lots of joy, energy, and love. This sweet, special boy deserves the forever family who will give him the second chance he almost didn’t get. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, goofy best friend who will fill your home with love and laughter, Teddy Oliver "Ollie" Moon! is your guy. 🐾 Reach out to learn more!

King might just be your perfect match. This soft, short, grey gentleman is about 6–8 years old and has truly mastered the art of lounging. His favorite pastime? Flattening himself like a little pancake as close to you as possible, preferably on top of you if you’re open to it! King may be deaf in one ear, but that doesn’t stop him from tuning in when it counts (especially if there’s food or the rustle of a leash involved). He’s got selective hearing down to a science and makes it work in the most charming way. He’s gentle and easygoing with other dogs, always eager to greet them on walks, and doesn’t pay much attention to smaller animals you might pass along the way. Despite his mostly mellow nature, he’ll surprise you with the cutest zoomies when excitement strikes, usually around mealtime or the promise of an outdoor adventure. King’s tiny little legs and signature sprawl are just part of his unique charm, but what really melts hearts is his love for a soft comfort blanket. He’ll carry it with him, curl up on it, and even suck on it like a little baby, it’s his happy place. If you’re ready to share your home (and your heart) with a sweet, soulful snuggler who will bring you calm, cuddles, and the occasional joy-sprint, King is ready for his home.

Story
Meet Libby Lou, she’s a stunning 2 year old, 39 lb velvety soft staffie mix. She’s an amazing young dog with so much love to give. Libby was adopted as a young puppy, she was very loved until life changed happened and her dad could no longer keep her. Libby has been in foster care, she is a little shy at first however when she decompresses she is the silliest happiest girl. Libby loves to run and chase balls (she doesn’t always bring the ball back)but she always gives you her best smile. Libby has a sense of humor that will keep you laughing. She enjoys snuggling in the couch and will follow you everywhere you. She’s a smart lady, she knows all of her commands and will show them off for a treat. Libby is good with children, we do suggest children over 8, as she can startle easily in a new environment. She is good with dogs her size or bigger, she loves to play and snuggle up to her doggie friends. Libby is crate and leash trained and house broken. She is an amazing dog whose heart was broken when she lost the only family she ever knew, she is looking for her new family to love and be loved. (No cats she does have a small animal prey drive and is too curious with cats) Libby Lou is spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. All dogs 6 month + receive a Proheart 6 injection at the time of their heartworm test. This provides heartworm prevention for 6 months from the time of that injection. This dog has tested negative for heartworms. The adoption fee is $450 if your adoption is prepaid and final prior to your dog's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on dogs that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.
