Meet Dominic!  Dominic is not a Spotty Dog.  Contact information for adoption is below. Dominic is an 11-year-old Staffordshire Terrier with a heart of gold. He recently lost his home when his former owner left him behind, and he’s now looking for a new family to love him.  Despite being deaf, Dominic is a wonderful, easygoing companion. He’s very friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. He’s been staying temporarily with a family, but sadly they can’t keep him long-term. Dominic is already neutered, microchipped, fully vetted, and heartworm negative. He’s truly a great dog who deserves a safe and loving forever home to spend his golden years. If you or someone you know could open your heart and home to Dominic, please reach out. He’s ready to give all the love he has left. She is so sweet and she loves to run around and play. She loves her treats and squeaky toys. We love her so much and I am so heartbroken to see her go but my husband has been hospitalized 3 times since we had her and can't return home until I rehome her and have my house deep cleaned.

Story
🌙💙Meet Teddy Oliver Moon (a.k.a. Ollie)!🌙💙 Teddy is a 90-pound bundle of love with the biggest head and the biggest heart you’ll ever meet. This gorgeous tricolor boy is playful, goofy, and so excited to show you just how happy he is, especially when toys are involved! His foster family loves him so much that everyone wanted to name him, so now he proudly goes by Teddy Oliver "Ollie" Moon because one name just isn’t enough for a dog this special. Teddy’s story hasn’t been easy. He was found tied up with another dog and sadly ended up on the euthanasia list at the shelter. His smaller companion was rescued first, and Teddy nearly lost his chance but thankfully, he’s now safe in a wonderful foster home where his true personality is shining through. Teddy is housebroken, crate-trained, good on walks, and great with other dogs. He’s friendly, affectionate, and always ready for fun. Because he’s a big, bouncy boy who can be a little jumpy when excited, we’re looking for an experienced home with older kids (just due to his size). We’ve seen no signs of aggression just lots of joy, energy, and love. This sweet, special boy deserves the forever family who will give him the second chance he almost didn’t get. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, goofy best friend who will fill your home with love and laughter, Teddy Oliver "Ollie" Moon! is your guy. 🐾 Reach out to learn more!

King might just be your perfect match. This soft, short, grey gentleman is about 6–8 years old and has truly mastered the art of lounging. His favorite pastime? Flattening himself like a little pancake as close to you as possible, preferably on top of you if you’re open to it! King may be deaf in one ear, but that doesn’t stop him from tuning in when it counts (especially if there’s food or the rustle of a leash involved). He’s got selective hearing down to a science and makes it work in the most charming way. He’s gentle and easygoing with other dogs, always eager to greet them on walks, and doesn’t pay much attention to smaller animals you might pass along the way. Despite his mostly mellow nature, he’ll surprise you with the cutest zoomies when excitement strikes, usually around mealtime or the promise of an outdoor adventure. King’s tiny little legs and signature sprawl are just part of his unique charm, but what really melts hearts is his love for a soft comfort blanket. He’ll carry it with him, curl up on it, and even suck on it like a little baby, it’s his happy place. If you’re ready to share your home (and your heart) with a sweet, soulful snuggler who will bring you calm, cuddles, and the occasional joy-sprint, King is ready for his home.

Story
Introducing our sweet senior girl, Eve! 🐾 Eve may be a senior, but she's got a heart full of love and energy to share with an active family. She's a chunky bundle of joy who's on a mission to find her forever home with a loving family. Here's a little bit about her and what she's looking for: 🐾 Home Recommendation: Eve is looking for an active family who can keep up with her enthusiasm for life. A fenced yard would be ideal for her so she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. Eve loves her daily walkies, which not only help her stay in shape but also give her the chance to explore the world around her. She's quite the explorer and has been known to hop a fence in her quest for adventure! 👶 Kids: Nanny Evie, as we affectionately call her, is a gentle giant when it comes to children. Her "fat rolls" might knock them down, but don't worry; she'll shower them with love and affection as soon as they hit the ground. Eve hasn't shown any toy or bone guarding tendencies, but it's a good practice to reserve those activities for crate or alone time, just to be safe. 🏠 Crate/Potty Training: Eve is a model of perfection when it comes to crate and potty training. Since her intake, she's been impeccably clean and well-behaved. You won't have to worry about accidents with this girl! She's also a fantastic travel companion and enjoys car rides. 🐕 Leash: Eve is a strong walker who's getting better with each passing day. While she knows the "sit" command, she has a bit of an "ants in her pants" situation and doesn't stay put for long. Her excitement is contagious, and she's always wiggling with joy. She might be vocal when she wants your attention, doing a happy dance and a little dog whine that says, "Look at me!" She thrives on positive praise and attention. Eve is a special senior looking for a family who will appreciate her zest for life and shower her with the love and attention she craves. If you're an active family with a fenced yard and a lot of love to give, Eve could be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet her and let her charm her way into your heart! 🐶❤️ #AdoptEve #SeniorLove #ForeverHome Apply to adopt a www.brasscityrescue.org

Story
Meet Atticus, a SUPER sweet and lovable ~3 year old neutered male terrier/Boxer/lab mix (see pic of Embark DNA results), weighing about 54 lbs! This special boy was picked up as a stray by animal control in east TN. He spent some time in a shelter before being taken into rescue and transported up north, where he has been with his foster family for 7 months now. His foster family absolutely ADORES him and they don’t understand how he hasn’t been adopted yet.  Atticus is a friendly, goofy lovebug who just wants to love and be loved He also thinks he is a lap dog and he dares you to tell him otherwise! He has a zest for life and you can tell by the way he looks at you with such love in his eyes that he is DEEPLY thankful for being given a second chance. He will make you laugh every single day with his silly antics, and then he will happily be your little spoon when you're ready for bed. He is also very smart and knows many commands, he is food motivated and a fast learner!  This handsome guy is a true social butterfly! He absolutely LOVES people, and he is excellent with kids. He loves vigorous pets and butt scratches, and he will happily wiggle his WHOLE body with excitement when you give him attention! He gives the best hugs and kisses and makes the cutest like piggy noises when he is happy   Atticus does well with the resident dogs in his foster home, but he is dog selective and is typically not a fan of large fluffy dogs or dominant dogs. He tends to do better with dogs who are smaller than him. He does have some resource guarding tendencies when it comes to other dogs and food/treats (we always recommend feeding dogs separately regardless). He has not shown any resource guarding tendencies with people, only with other dogs. He has not been cat treated, so we are unsure how he would do with cats.  Atticus came to us with some reactivity to other dogs, which has unfortunately caused him to not "show" well at adoption events. His foster family has been working hard with him on this, with the help of K9 Rehab in Watertown, CT. He is now e-collar trained and walks beautifully on leash, even surrounded by other dogs. We are SO proud of the amazing progress he has made! As part of their Underdog program, K9 Rehab has generously offered continued training classes to Atticus’s adopter for FREE!  Atticus’s ideal home is one where he will be a cherished family member and given the love and attention that he so deserves. He is happiest when he is with his people, so it is important that he goes to a home where he will be welcomed on the couch and in his human’s bed - he is the perfect snuggle buddy! Additionally, we would like to see Atticus go to someone who is willing to keep up with his training to help him be the best version of himself. He is a truly wonderful dog who will absolutely thrive in the right home, and we just know that home is out there. Atticus is medically up to date and housebroken. Apply to meet this special boy today! Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs.  We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted.  As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2553222##

Story
Meet Bruno, a handsome young neutered male mixed breed doggo (our best guess is Boxer/Dutch Shepherd - DNA results pending! ). He is approximately 1 year old and weighs about 35 lbs - the perfect size! Pictures really don't do this guy justice, he's got the most beautiful brindle coat and the BEST ears!   Bruno is a friendly, energetic boy who gets along well with other dogs, people, and kids (we recommend older kids 8+ as he is an exuberant young guy and may unintentionally knock over a small child). He has not been cat tested, so we are unsure how he would do with cats. Bruno is smart and food motivated, he has been taking training classes to work on manners and impulse control, and he has been doing GREAT! The ideal home for Bruno is one where he will get plenty of mental and/or physical stimulation to set him up for success. He would also LOVE a fenced in yard of his own and maybe another playful pup in the home to keep him company! From Bruno's current foster:  "Bruno came to Connecticut Sept. 6. Age unknown (possibly a year old, had adult teeth), heritage unknown (Dutch shepherd mix? Heeler? Boxer? Min Pin?). HAPPILY, absolutely no aggression, but lots of energy. Fast forward two months, and he is a really great dog, LOVES training and LOVES to show off his focus. About 35 lbs, a great size. He enjoys our fenced yard and chew bones, loves our weekly training sessions, where he has mastered sit/down/touch/look/wait and even leave it. After 3 sessions, I know he can be your forever companion as long as he has an active life or daily job. Maybe agility? Hiking? With more training, maybe a service dog or companion dog? Not a great candidate for someone working away from home 8 hrs/day, a first time dog owner or family with young children as he is exuberant." Bruno is medically up to date, housebroken, and crate trained.
