Story
Meet Dominic!  Dominic is not a Spotty Dog.  Contact information for adoption is below. Dominic is an 11-year-old Staffordshire Terrier with a heart of gold. He recently lost his home when his former owner left him behind, and he’s now looking for a new family to love him.  Despite being deaf, Dominic is a wonderful, easygoing companion. He’s very friendly with people and gets along well with other dogs. He’s been staying temporarily with a family, but sadly they can’t keep him long-term. Dominic is already neutered, microchipped, fully vetted, and heartworm negative. He’s truly a great dog who deserves a safe and loving forever home to spend his golden years. If you or someone you know could open your heart and home to Dominic, please reach out. He’s ready to give all the love he has left. Contact +1 (860) 729-6056 or marijsw10@gmail.com.  Located in Vernon, CT. **NOTE: Dominic’s foster mom has graciously sponsored his adoption donation fee.  ##2600649##

Story
Yum is a playful, sweet, loyal companion who loves exercise, chewing bones, and cozying up next to you on the couch. Yum is house trained, sleeps all night in her crate, and is content to nap in her crate during the day for a couple hours at a time. She is generally a quiet dog- not a barker. She has lived in an apartment in NYC in a very busy neighborhood and enjoys the city's dog parks and trainer-run day care, but we think she'll be happier in a less hectic environment. Yum is now is in a 6 week board and train program in Connecticut where she's doing great-- we have one video here and will share more soon! Yum is so eager to please her people. She can be protective. She needs an experienced dog owner who loves and understands her breed. Her ideal home is with an active person who can provide lots of leadership, structure, routine, and outside time, along with lots of affection. And, Yum's trainer CJ will support you to make sure she has a good transition to her new home!

She is so sweet and she loves to run around and play. She loves her treats and squeaky toys. We love her so much and I am so heartbroken to see her go but my husband has been hospitalized 3 times since we had her and can't return home until I rehome her and have my house deep cleaned.

Story
Everyone, this is Ashton - pure delight of an oversized lap dog with the most expressive ears! He's such a good, sweet boy who loves human attention and despite his size LOVES to sit in his caregiver’s lap. And his ears!....those expressive, ever-so-adorable, ears. You can see his intelligence at work (and his cuteness) as he raises his big ears up and down in an effort to take in everything you’re saying. He's a terrific dog who’s not only loving and affectionate but smart, alert, loyal and athletic - all-star qualities that are guaranteed to make him a fantastic companion. We brought Ashton into our rescue when he was spotted as a stray by one of our rescue partners in a local Houston park in need of veterinary care. He showed such happiness when he was rescued, so joyful to be receiving human TLC, you could tell it was something he was longing for. We knew right then he would make a lucky someone very happy. If you are looking for an intelligent, loyal, athletic, true companion that will not only soak up all the love and attention you give him but will gleefully return it then Ashton is your boy. He loves to give kisses and be with his caregiver. If you're sitting, Ashton will surely ask to be in your lap. Ashton would thrive in a home with daily physical and mental activity so an outdoorsy person who goes on brisk daily walks or hikes would be a great fit for Ashton. He’s just waiting to spread his happy love. He can't wait to be snuggled up next to his person being the best friend you could every dream of. His affectionate personality is endearing. Ashton is a smart boy who will bond and learn quickly. He can be a bit excitable around other dogs, so we recommend a home without another dog to start. No cats please. Ashton is up to date with age-appropriate vaccinations, is micro-chipped and neutered. His estimated birth is around January 2023 and his weight is currently 50 lbs. If interested, please send your request for an application to adoptions@smilingdogfarms.org Please note we are always in need of foster homes. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent.

Story
Introducing our sweet senior girl, Eve! 🐾 Eve may be a senior, but she's got a heart full of love and energy to share with an active family. She's a chunky bundle of joy who's on a mission to find her forever home with a loving family. Here's a little bit about her and what she's looking for: 🐾 Home Recommendation: Eve is looking for an active family who can keep up with her enthusiasm for life. A fenced yard would be ideal for her so she can stretch her legs and enjoy the outdoors. Eve loves her daily walkies, which not only help her stay in shape but also give her the chance to explore the world around her. She's quite the explorer and has been known to hop a fence in her quest for adventure! 👶 Kids: Nanny Evie, as we affectionately call her, is a gentle giant when it comes to children. Her "fat rolls" might knock them down, but don't worry; she'll shower them with love and affection as soon as they hit the ground. Eve hasn't shown any toy or bone guarding tendencies, but it's a good practice to reserve those activities for crate or alone time, just to be safe. 🏠 Crate/Potty Training: Eve is a model of perfection when it comes to crate and potty training. Since her intake, she's been impeccably clean and well-behaved. You won't have to worry about accidents with this girl! She's also a fantastic travel companion and enjoys car rides. 🐕 Leash: Eve is a strong walker who's getting better with each passing day. While she knows the "sit" command, she has a bit of an "ants in her pants" situation and doesn't stay put for long. Her excitement is contagious, and she's always wiggling with joy. She might be vocal when she wants your attention, doing a happy dance and a little dog whine that says, "Look at me!" She thrives on positive praise and attention. Eve is a special senior looking for a family who will appreciate her zest for life and shower her with the love and attention she craves. If you're an active family with a fenced yard and a lot of love to give, Eve could be the perfect addition to your home. Come meet her and let her charm her way into your heart! 🐶❤️ #AdoptEve #SeniorLove #ForeverHome Apply to adopt a www.brasscityrescue.org

Story
Meet Potato - the adorable and affectionate American Staffordshire Terrier who will melt your heart with just one glance. This precious girl may have a simple name, but she is anything but ordinary. Just like her namesake, Potato is sweet, loyal, and full of warmth. And now, she's patiently waiting for her forever family to take her home and shower her with all the love she deserves. Potato's journey began as a stray, wandering the streets alone. She was timid, nervous, and it took some time for her to open up to the shelter staff. But with patience and love, she quickly became like velcro - sticking close to her newfound friends and following them wherever they went. Her transformation was truly remarkable, and she has shown us that with the right love and care, anything is possible. At just 2 years old, Potato is still a young pup with a lifetime of love to give. She weighs 47 pounds, making her the perfect size for cuddling on the couch or going for long walks in the park. As an energetic and playful girl, she would thrive in a home with an active lifestyle. But what makes Potato really unique is though she takes a while to warm up to new people. Once she trusts you, she will be your constant companion, your best friend, and your loyal sidekick. Potato's ideal home would be with someone who can spoil her and give her all the love and attention she craves. She would do best in a home with no young children, but teens or older would be just fine. She also loves the company of other dogs, so a furry sibling would be a bonus for her. And although she may be a bit shy at first, she is a people pleaser and will do anything to make her family happy. So if you're searching for a devoted and intelligent companion who will fill your life with love and warmth, look no further than Potato. She may have taken a while to warm up to us, but we can assure you, it will be worth the wait. Come meet Potato today and see for yourself why she's the perfect addition to any loving home. Don't wait, this special girl won't be around for long. Adopt Potato and watch your heart grow with love. www.brasscityrescue.org
