Story
Ralphy is a very special boy who deserves the most wonderful home! Ralph was dumped in Naugatuck during a heat wave, and survived a severe case of heat stroke! He has since gotten better and has proven to be the most sweetest, loving and gentle boy! Due to the heat stroke, we find that he does best with short bits of exercise/play time and lots of relaxing on a comfy bed! Ralph loves to learn and be with his people, and has shown to be gentle towards other dogs. If you're interested in meeting this special boy and learning more, please fill out an application on our website www.naugatuckanimalcontrol.com

Story
Jer Bear is that handsome, good time, enjoyable guy that loves everyone and everyone loves him right back. This super cool dude is a year old, potty and crate trained, and walks like a dream on the leash. He is mellow, doesn't jump on people, and is an all around super chill fellow. As a matter of fact, he has never meet a person that he didn't vibe with! He has been hit-or-miss with other dogs so we think he would do best in a single dog home. Jer Bear loves plush toys, chasing tennis balls, and we can't confirm this, but we believe his favorite color is tie-dye. This free-spirited fellow will be glad to hang out with you on the couch, stroll around the neighborhood with you, or hang out at your favorite coffee shop enjoying his pup cup. If Jer Bear sounds like your jam, fill out an application for him today! Visit our website to see our weekend Events here! Pup’s with the designated “meet me” next to their names are in CT and ready to attend adoption events. Please check with your adoption coordinator if you are interested in a specific dog prior to coming to an event, as a dog's availability to attend can change at any time. We can not guarantee approval on site at the events, so we recommend applying ahead of time. You can apply at the event, but the application process may not be able to be completed the same day. If you are not pre-approved, you are still welcome to come and meet pups at the event! The adoption fee is $500 which includes spay/neuter, up to date vaccinations, flea/tick and heartworm preventatives, and the mandatory CT HB 5368 fee. This dog tested positive for heartworms and has been treated in our care. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at our Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get a confirmation. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Cade is as sweet as he is adorable! This 4 month old little nugget has been a model house guest in his foster home, demonstrating good little puppy manners with the adult dogs in the home. He is well socialized, friendly, and going to make a welcome addition to his new household. Cade Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are picked up from our Southbury CT adoption center, adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Story
Justice is ready!!!! He is 48 pounds of pure delight. He loves all people and all dogs. He loves kids and would love a fun active family. He loves to go for walks, hikes, swims and he loves to ride in the car or the side by side. He does chase the cows and horses so we don't recommend a home with anything he chases. If you have an adult dog and want another adult that will 100% get along, this is your guy. We think he was born about January of 23 so he is a perfect age. He loves to fetch and have belly rubs and is finished with that destructive puppy phase of life yet he has a puppy attitude. He is so very sweet and a fun guy. If you think you are fun and active enough for this guy you will need to visit our website at funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit the application. He is fostered in TN and will travel once his adoption is finalized. His adoption fee is $325 and transport is an additional $200. He is fully vetted, happy and ready to join his forever family. This sweet boy was found on the Supreme Court steps. Apparently he was seeking justice for his past treatment. He is badly scarred and very thin but oh so sweet and friendly. He is on antibiotics now and getting all the grub he needs. He loves other dogs and is very sweet and gentle. He appears young. Maybe about a year old. He is only 36 pounds now but needs to gain at least 10 pounds. He will be a perfect medium size dog who will be a great addition to almost any home.

Story
Dee is a 3-year-old American Staffy who is loving, energetic, and loyal. She loves to run around the yard to play fetch, and she loves her snuggles, belly rubs, and warm blankets even more. Dee would do best in a single pet, no children home. She does have a fear towards strangers, but usually warms up to them after meeting them slowly multiple times. She doesn’t like to have to compete for attention from other pets, so she would do best in a single pet home. She hasn’t had much experience with children, so I am unsure how she would be in a home that has them. Dee has a poultry allergy, so she requires food that doesn’t contain such. She is a very sweet girl who just needs a home that can give her everything she needs to be happy. She needs someone that has the time and ability to train or seek help to tease out her behavioral issues (protective against strangers and other dogs). Thank you.

Story
Name: AthenaBreed: pittie mixAge: 6 years oldKids: over 12Dogs: YesCats: Selective Beautiful Miss Athena is in search of her forever home! At 6 years young, Athena just wants a place she can call her own. Athena promises to be your best friend and give you lots of love and affection. If you are looking for a sweet, cuddly middle-aged pup, Athena is your girl! This pretty little lady is currently hanging out in foster with her foster mom, canine, and feline foster siblings, patiently awaiting her forever home! Athena loves chasing her tennis balls, is housebroken, and takes treats very gently while working on her commands. Though Athena does like cats, she tends to like them a bit too much, so she would need to go to a home with a cat that will set some boundaries with Miss Athena when they've had enough of all her love. Athena is spayed, UTD on her vaccinations, and microchipped.
