Story
Meet Reba! This sweet girl was unfortunately dealt a tough start to life where she was chained in the backyard and neglected to a point where her collar had to be surgically removed from her neck. The sweet girl has made incredible strides in her life since then and we know the right family will leave all her bad memories in the past and fill up her future with only love. We’ve made up a list for what this special girl would like in a forever home: -An active home with lots of walks and time to play ball. -I am crate trained but it’s not my favorite place so I would love to sleep in bed and cuddle on the couch with you. -Older kids would be best since I can be a little hyper I might knock a little one down. -She is open to having a doggy sibling but no cats or birds If interested in applying for Reba, please fill out an application on our website. She can’t wait to meet you!

Story
Emma came to us from Detroit Animal Care and Control limping pretty badly on her front leg. X-rays revealed that at some point in her short life, her elbow had been broken and healed improperly. She underwent a long surgery to realign the bones and secure them with plates and screws. After several months of recovery, Emma is now thriving. She still has a slight limp, but she’s pain-free and it doesn’t slow her down one bit. Emma currently lives with 3 other dogs of various sizes and gets along great with all of them. She also shares her home with 5 cats. She loves to chase them, but means them no harm — several of the cats actually wrestle and play with her. She’s living on a property without a fence right now and has excellent recall. At about 9 months old and only 40 pounds, Emma is growing into a beautiful, well-behaved little lady. We are so proud of how far this sweet girl has come. ❤️

She previously lived with kids and is used to being part of a bustling household, so she’s ready to be a loving member of yours! Although Roxy wouldn't mind being the only dog in your home. Story
Meet Fozzy Fozzy’s story is one of resilience, patience, and heart. He has been with us since 2023, and when he first arrived, life was overwhelming. Human touch made him nervous, other dogs confused him, and the shelter environment was simply too much. With time, patience, and plenty of love, Fozzy has grown into a dog who is finally ready for his next chapter. He is about three years old, up to date on all of his medical care, and has discovered a deep love for toys—anything he sees quickly becomes his new favorite. While he can enjoy playtime with other dogs, he does best when he does not have to share his toys or his personal space. Fozzy is short, stocky, a little goofy, and full of love. He is still learning, but he has already proven just how resilient and adaptable he can be. After everything he has been through, he is truly a diamond in the rough, and we know the right family or foster is out there waiting to give him the safe and loving home he deserves. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home. Story
Meet Tallulah – A True Survivor Searching for Her Safe Place If you have been following our journey, you may remember Tallulah—the beautiful mama dog we found eating trash by the side of the road. When we approached her, she did not run. Instead, with extraordinary trust and heart, she led us straight to her hidden babies. Because of Tallulah’s courage and gentle spirit, we were able to save her entire little family. Now, it is Tallulah’s turn to be cared for. This sweet, soulful girl has recently been diagnosed with heartworm and is also healing from a painful ear infection. She is looking for a foster-to-adopt home where she can rest, recover, and finally receive the unconditional love she has always given so freely to others. Tallulah is dog-friendly, wonderful with children and all humans, and the definition of a gentle, affectionate companion. She loves to snuggle, play, and simply be close to the people she trusts. After everything she has endured, Tallulah deserves a soft place to land—a quiet, loving home where she can heal and be reminded that she is safe. Her current foster can no longer keep her, and we are urgently searching for someone willing to step in and offer Tallulah the second chance she so deeply deserves. If you can open your heart and home to this incredible dog, please apply today. Giving Tallulah a safe space to heal is not just fostering—it is truly saving a life. Adoption is $275, which includes spay/neuter at our vet, vaccines, dewormer, microchip, and clean bill of health. Although we work to potty train all of our dogs, we cannot guarantee full house training before adoption. Regression is a normal part of transitioning to a new home.
