Story
This boy was rescued from a neglectful house. Thunder fits his name! He is a talker: to people, other dogs, whoever. He is friendly and likes to be held. He does use a dog door but would need training for everything else. He gets along with other dogs but can guard food. He is a good boy who is ready for a new home. He is in Tennessee but can be transported through Rescue Riders.

Story
This is Molly. She was recently surrendered by her owner, who is 91 years old and having mini strokes daily. He’s terrified that something will happen to him and no one will give Molly a good home. So he’s asked for our help. When walked around the neighborhood, she did wonderfully… even when a golden retriever charged the fence growling and barking, she just looked at him like, Why are you barking at me? Molly is just super sweet! She loves to be outside weather permitting and she stays indoors at night. * She’s potty trained * She’s very docile low energy * She walks great both on/off a leash * She has great recall * She gets along with other dogs * She loves children of all ages * She shows no interest in cats or squirrels Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee. MICHIGAN RESIDENTS—>PLEASE CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO FILL OUT THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/TAP/2450-michigan-adoption Before we can change your new furbaby’s status from "adoptable" to "adoption pending," the $50 transport fee must be paid to secure the adoption. At that time, we will stop accepting applications. The entire adoption fee must be paid prior to the transport in order to ensure your new baby has a spot on the transport. Thank you SO MUCH for giving a homeless Arkansas pup a chance at a real life with a family of their very own!

Story
Meet Parker!!! Parker is the perfect companion for an active owner but also knows how to unwind at home. He’s well-behaved in public and gets along with everyone - both people and dogs alike... well... everyone except no cats please. He walks great on a leash and listens well off-leash. Parker is a quick learner who thrives on guidance and praise. He’s loving, social, and ready to be part of a family. Parker is truly a wonderful dog who just needs a chance to show how amazing he is. Ask for a video to see this happy boy in action! Sweet Parker has been through a lot, but you’d never know it—he’s always wagging his tail and ready for love! This smart, eager-to-please boy has successfully completed a training program, where he mastered good manners, learned several commands, and became both leash-trained and off-leash reliable. This smart boy is e-collar trained and knows a variety of commands. To set him up for success, his adoption includes an e-collar training refresher course to help his new owner make the most of his skills. Parker is housebroken, has excellent indoor manners, and is just as happy going on adventures as he is curling up on the couch for a relaxing night in. This male Lab/Staffordshire terrier mix weighs in at about 75 pounds of awesomeness! His estimated birthday is 8/27/21, he’s heartworm negative, current on all vaccines and preventatives, and neutered so he’s more than ready to move into his new forever home. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Story
Hello! I’m Chai! I’m a 2 year old neutered male Pit Bull/Terrier born around 3/24/22! I’m HW- and current on all my vaccines and preventatives! I was picked up as a stray and brought to the pound. Artemis then took me in, and I’ve been waiting for a foster or someone to adopt me into their family ever since. I’m told I’m a good boy because I’m very patient and sweet-natured. I love going for walks in the fresh air and finding sticks to chew on. I'm good with other dogs and love to wrestle with my people. I'm just an overall goof-ball full of love, laughs, and fun! I’m great on a leash, too! I just wish I could stay out longer. Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue, The Artemis Project, in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport?
