Just a little insider information on this beautiful girl: I’ve owned and fostered a lot of dogs over the years, but Penny truly stands out as one of the smartest dogs I’ve ever met. She’s such a quick study and eager to please — she picks up new things in no time! Penny has been an absolute dream to foster. She’s been in my home for a little over a week and already has full reign of the house while I’m away for several hours each day. Not a single accident, not one chewed shoe — she’s completely housebroken and wonderfully well-mannered. She knows all her basic commands and is learning more every day. Penny walks nicely on a leash (though she may remind you she has a strong prey drive if a squirrel dares cross her path!). She’s gentle when taking treats, affectionate with her people, and always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. Penny does want to be the only dog in her forever home. She’ll happily alert you when someone’s at the door, but once guests are welcomed, she greets them with her trademark sweetness. He is all set to make you deal with being his new best friend. He is learning his crate and that being home alone is ok, it is only for a little bit. He is allergic to cats. All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Middy is a sweet and loving boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality! He loves attention and has come a long way since arriving in Minnesota. Middy is playful and energetic, often showing his enthusiasm with lots of vocal play. He has stranger danger and doesn't like direct eye contact with strangers. Other Dogs: Good with most dogs as long as they are calmer and not dominant but can be selective initially.  Cats: Good with cats, but he is allergic to them.  Training: Middy is crate-trained and leash-trained, making him a great companion for daily walks and adventures. Ideal Home: Middy would thrive in a home with: A fenced yard where he can bask in the sun.  Meet Boss!    Boss came to us all the way from Arkansas and is around 8–10 weeks old. He’s a sweet little Boxer mix with the perfect mix of playful energy and cuddly charm!    He loves to play with my resident dogs and is doing pretty well with potty training — he’s learning to use his pee pads! Boss is also working on his kennel training. He’ll bark a bit when first left alone but settles down nicely, especially with some calm music.    He sleeps through the night in his kennel and even went on his first walk today! Hi there, I’m Boomer Jr., but my foster mom calls me Boom! I’m about a year old Boxer mix and a total lovebug. I made my way to Minnesota all the way from North Carolina after a hurricane so the shelter there could help more pups in need. Now, I’m ready to find my forever home!   I’m the good boy—fully potty trained, kennel trained, and eager to learn. I’ve already mastered "sit," "lay down," and "get down," and I’m super food-motivated, so teaching me new tricks will be a breeze. I love making doggie friends, especially bigger ones, because sometimes I forget my size and play a little too hard with the tiny pups. I would need a home with another dog because I love to play!   I’m also great in the car—I’ll just curl up and relax while you drive. I do get a bit nervous around new people and might bark or growl at first, but give me a treat or two, and I’ll be your best friend in no time. Because of this, I’d do best in a home without small kids, as sometimes I am anxious.   I’m a playful guy with lots of energy, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me to zoom around in. I love my toys and love antlers and bones to chew on.    If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and fun companion, I’m your pup.
