TURNER and HOOCH were born approximately January 1, 2024. Luckily these little nuggets were able to stay with their mom and siblings until they were 7 weeks old. This is an amazing gift for puppies in rescue. Being with their mom during this important developmental time is priceless. At 7 weeks old they went into their very own foster home together in order to get more individual attention and ensure they become happy and well-adjusted pooches. These gorgeous boys are just bursting with puppy love, puppy kisses, puppy snuggles, and puppy playfulness. They adore people, other dogs, and kids. They have been socialized a ton! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Midnight Lagoon found himself unwanted in a  high kill shelter in West Texas. He is good with other dogs and kids, cats are unknown.  All dogs and puppies require supervision and training.  Midnight Lagoon is a big knucklehead. He's sweet as can be but can sound a little rough. He's very vocal when he plays and that might put off some dogs. He looks like a tough guy but he's just one big sweetie pie. He loves to snuggle, give kisses, get belly rubs, and he's very, very smart. His life started out a little rough He's got the scars to show it. He is human selective and dog reactive but can go on to be best friends given slow introductions.  His best friend is his foster sister and he really wants to be friends with his bigger foster brother, but his big brother doesn't really want to have much to do with him. Midnight is a food snob who prefers his dry kibble to be complimented with wet food or gravy.  Midnight is making strides everyday. He's great on walks in low traffic times and areas. He's working on his reactivity and getting desensitized in many different situations. He would do best with another dog (after slow intros) who doesn't mind his vocal play because doesn't like to be alone. He loves stuffy toys and chew toys. He's still learning how to dog everyday and is looking for his human to love.some fun additional information about Middy Midnight just loves trailers. He loves to jump in and inspect the inside and outside of trailers any time he sees one. He is very inquisitive!  Midnight would love a human who is a runner or someone who likes to take long walks or hikes. He enjoys burning off energy as much as a good belly rub. Midnight is nuts for a flirt pole. He likes chasing the fox but enjoys catching it even more. He is getting better and better at 'leave it' so we can continue playing. He is also learning 'enough' for when he gets too excited about the little boy next door running up and down the hall. He’s a little clown who will make you smile every time you look at him.  He adores children and wants to play! Thank you for stopping by to see me!  Please fill out an application to set up  a private meeting.    Wondering how I’m still available?  Me too!  I might seem high maintenance being I need a fenced yard and another dog to play with in my forever home but I see it as making it easier for you.  You can just open the door and out we go to potty and play! You’ll find me to be super playful and incredibly sweet.  I enjoy cuddling with both people and dogs.  I’ve not quite gotten brave enough to check out the cat that is here.  So far the closest I’ve gotten is a sniff in the air. I’m potty trained (unless you rely on using a leash, where I’ll hold it until I’m back inside, which is why I’m asking for a fenced yard). Perhaps we can work on using a leash together as I have a tendency to pull.  But I do know some commands, such as “sit, kennel and outside.”  Speaking of which, I know how to use a kennel but I’m not a fan of one.  I also have been known to bark at strangers out the windows and when you come back home.  I don’t count the times I bark when other dogs start it.  I’m just playing along.  Here is a summary of what foster-mom says: “She's absolutely perfect. Still young and playful but loves to be a couch potato and cuddle. She loves to get super close and tuck her head into your neck. She loves other dogs but needs to take it slow with dogs who are over friendly and get in her face. She does warm up eventually though. Welcome Salem to CCPAL Rescue. Salem is a 4.5-year-old beauty. She is a Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier that weighs about 60 pounds. She is a beautiful grey and tan coat that is shiny and she is not too big of a shedding dog. She is loyal and does get along with dogs. Her preference is smaller male dogs or smaller submissive females. She was adopted as a puppy and returned at 4 years old because she didn’t get along with the other female dog in the home. She loves people and loves kids. She is potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She is very affectionate and slept with her family in the bed at night. She was really nice to all the people she met today at the rescue. She loved cuddles and being petted. We could adopt her locally with other dogs and we can test the dogs out. If she goes outside the state of Texas she would make a great only dog. She would be a great companion dog for someone wanting an outdoor companion on your activities and a dog willing to cuddle when you want to chill and read a book. She is the best of both worlds. She is house trained and goes potty outside. They have worked with trainers so she is skilled as far as training goes and was following direction nicely at the Rescue. She could be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get this gorgeous dog to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 200. She if fully vetted, healthy and ready for her forever home. She can go with children. We like them to be 8 or older.
