Hercules is a 4 year old pitty mix. He’s very loyal and very sweet but has recently had a problem with other dogs. We have a senior dog who he has recently gone after multiple times. We also recently had a baby boy and just aren’t comfortable having the risk of Hercules reacting badly towards the other dog and the baby getting hurt. He is very sweet with people but has not been around many kids so we are unsure how he does with kids. He’s only been around other dogs and has been reactive. He is house trained and still has a lot of energy. He would do great in a home with older teenaged kids or someone whose kids are moved out. He will love lots of room to run and let out energy as he his high energy.

I know the big scar above my left eye is the first thing you notice when you look at me. You might assume a big boy like me was a top dog in dog fighting or used as a bait dog, but that is the furthest from the truth. The story behind my scar might break your heart, but I can promise you it hasn’t broken my spirit. I was starved of love in my past, which just means I am making up for lost time and am ready to receive all the love you have to give! I am still learning how to be a real dog, and I am finding out that life is actually pretty amazing. I am as easy to please as he is to love! My Ideal Home: - Kid-Friendly: I am excellent with smaller kids. However, I truly do not know my own strength. On rare occasions, I can get a little too rambunctious, so keep an eye on me around the little ones. - Dog-Friendly: I am fantastic with other dogs and great with puppies, though my foster parent suggests monitoring puppy playtime. - Pack Style: I can be your only dog, but I would absolutely thrive with a large alpha dog to look up to. I am definitely not an alpha male myself. - Daily Flow: I am completely house-trained. I will vocalize and let you know when I need to go potty or when I am ready to play! My Absolute Favorite Things: - The Outdoors: I love being outside feeling the fresh air. - New Games: I recently realized that playing tug-of-war is actually a game, and guess what? I am really good at it! - Toys: I love balls of all kinds, squeaky or silent. I also adore carrying and chewing my stuffies. - Food: Food is life! I will do just about anything for a tasty treat. Warning: I learn very fast exactly where the treat cupboard is located. My One Little Fear: - Please don't spray me with the garden hose on full blast.
