Heiress is a sweetheart dog that absolutely loves attention. I agreed to foster her when her owner was between homes. After finding out she has allergies that require grain free food, and a care routine, her owner refused to reimburse her medical costs and abandoned her with me. That was a year ago. Unfortunately, with her needs, my work schedule and health issues, I can’t give her what she needs. She is such a sweetheart, and gets so happy to see you she prances and wags her tail so much her butt wiggles! She just needs a home that can care for her and give her the attention she needs.

Zola is the friendliest happiest dog in the world I always say. I got her from a breeder who was involved with my daughter before her death and he wanted me to have a puppy. however I am unable physically now after having Ang going thru health issues She needs to b free to roam. I recently into a condo and there’s no room for her she needs total control whereas I can’t handle her when we are on walks due to my condition, it’s just getting harder. Before the move She could go on her own and I didn’t have to restrain her. She loves children. She loves people. She did get along well with a friend of mine dog of the same breed who was a male, but I think she can get acclimated to othe animals. She loves to play. You do have to be a little firm with her to kind of make her go lay down when she gets a little too playful at times she’s very attentive and affectionate I wish more than anything I could keep her so this is very hard for me. Hi there! Im Axel your future snuggle buddy, playmate, and professional happy guy. Im a super sweet, people-loving pup whos always ready for fun. I adore toys, playing outside, and cuddling (especially cuddling honestly, it might be my top skill). Im playful, silly, and love to stay active, but I also take my couch naps very seriously. My foster parents say Ive mastered the art of balance equal parts zoomies and chill time. Playtime is basically my full-time job! I love sprinting around the house or yard with a toy, playing tug with my humans or my dog friends, and engaging in some top-tier wrestling matches. Hand me a chew toy and Ill happily settle in for a serious gnawing session. I also enjoy walks and hanging out outside, though I have to admit winter isnt really my vibe. I miss sunbathing on the grass and splashing around in the hose! I do have a warm jacket that helps, but on cold days Id much rather be inside finding creative ways to burn energy (and maybe stealing your spot on the couch). When playtime ends, cuddle time begins.Personal space? Never heard of it! If you sit down, Im climbing into your lap. If were on the couch together, were snuggling. Those are the rules, and I didnt make them I just enforce them. Right now, I live with two dogs and a cat.I LOVE the dogs, and we have an absolute blast together. I can be a bit of a boundary-pusher, but only because I get so excited about playing. Id do great with another confident, playful dog whos comfortable giving me clear (and consistent!) corrections. As for cats I think theyre fascinating. Too fascinating. The one here looks like a fluffy puppy, and I really want to play but my enthusiasm is a little too much, so my foster parents say Id be happiest in a cat-free home. Kids? Huge fan!Ive met lots of them and love all the attention and pets they give. Because Im young and easily excited, Id do best with older kids who are comfortable around dogs and wont be overwhelmed by my enthusiastic greetings. Ive been working hard on my training, and it shows!Im a kennel rockstar I go right in, nap quietly while my foster parents work, and stay calm when they leave the house. I sleep through the night and wait patiently in the morning like a very good boy. Ive also mastered potty training and am learning new tricks all the time. Im very food-motivated (shocking, I know!), and I love learning. My biggest challenge right now is remembering to stay calm in exciting situations like meeting new people or when my foster parents come home but Im making great progress. When I first arrived, I was a very hyper, undersocialized pup. Now? Ive come a long way. I thrive with structure, routines, and clear expectations. My forever family should be ready to keep enforcing boundaries and give me plenty of outlets for my energy. Do those things, and I promise Ill be an amazing dog. My foster parents also think an obedience class would be a great way for us to bond and help me understand that the same rules apply in my new home too. Did you hear that? Because I definitely did! Hi, Im Domino, and I take my job as neighborhood observer very seriously. My radar-dish ears and piercing brown eyes help me keep tabs on absolutely everything going on around me. Add in my Batman-style mask, long lean body, and a whole lot of puppy wiggles, and you've got one pretty handsome guy. Im about 53 pounds now, and my foster parents think Im mostly done growing although Ill probably fill out a little and get even stronger. One of my favorite hobbies is watching the world. Birds in the sky? I see them. Squirrels in the yard? Keeping an eye on them. Something unusual outside? Ill let out one big bark from deep in my belly just to make sure my people know they might want to investigate. Dont worry Im not one of those dogs who barks forever. I simply believe every good security system should give a proper alert. Speaking of important jobs, every morning I make sure my foster parents are awake by performing my signature move: the BIG STRETCH...right across their toes. They act like they're trying to avoid me as they dance around the kitchen, but I know they secretly appreciate my enthusiastic morning greetings. When it comes to playtime, Im all in. Tug-of-war is one of my absolute favorite games, and if you accept my challenge, be prepared I have a surprisingly strong neck and every intention of winning. My foster parents say Im an assertive but appropriate playmate because I know how to jump into the fun and, with a little guidance, settle back down again. They're also helping me channel my natural herding instincts into chewing on bones and playing with toys instead of trying to organize everyone else. Honestly, that seems like a pretty good trade. My days have lots of structure, and I really thrive on it. Potty training came naturally because I know how to let my people know when I need to go outside. During the day, Im perfectly happy relaxing in my kennel or my own puppy space for a few hours, and at night I put myself to bed and sleep soundly for 8-9 hours. Im also becoming quite the walking buddy. I wear a head halter on my walks, and while Im definitely interested in everything happening around me, Im easy to redirect and enjoy working with my person. Im very motivated by both food and toys, so teaching me new things is actually pretty fun. One thing my foster family does keep an eye on is my curiosity. I like to investigate the world with my nose and sometimes my mouth. Because of that, they supervise me to make sure I don't snack on things that definitely aren't part of a balanced puppy diet, like toy stuffing, grass clippings, or mystery treasures I find outside. In my current foster home, I live with a five-year-old child, and we get along great! I dont currently live with another dog, but Ive had a doggy best friend before. In my former foster home, I lived with another dog, and we got along wonderfully. I also have fun with the neighbors dog we meet through the fence and love to run and play together! I adore my people and never turn down a good couch cuddle, but deep down, Im what my foster family calls a dogs dog. Having a confident canine companion in my forever home would be at the very top of my wish list! I have completed my first class at Paws Abilities and am starting my second class this week. Professional Cuddle Bug Part-Time Troublemaker Full-Time Good Girl Hi friends! My name is Dolly, and Im about 9 months old. I was named after a certain celebrity with a BIG personality and let me tell you, the name fits! I have the personality, the attitude, and the BIGGEST ears to match. Im a super sweet girl who absolutely LOVES people. Im happiest when Im with my humans, and right now Im especially attached to my foster mom. I follow her around, cuddle with her, and basically think she hung the moon. But I have a feeling that once I find my forever person, Im going to love them just as hard. I also LOVE dogs! I live with five other dogs who all have very different personalities, and Ive learned a lot from them. I have two favorite boyfriends Barry, the Bernese Mountain Dog, and Wrigley, the big Pitbull and I spend a lot of time playing with them. Now, I should probably be honest about something I am still a PUPPY. I love to play, and sometimes I get a little carried away. My play style can be a little rough, and if another dog is nervous or unsure of me, I can sometimes get a little too forward. My foster family helps me remember to respect their space and gives me a little guidance when I get overly excited. For the most part, Im very respectful of the other dogs I live with I just need someone who understands that Im still learning my manners. Im also working hard on my potty training. Im doing my best, but Im still learning that the whole house is NOT a bathroom. My foster family takes me outside frequently to help me be successful, and Im making progress! Im also treadmill trained, which is pretty impressive for a puppy if I do say so myself. I LOVE getting exercise and going on sniff adventures. I tend to stick pretty close to my people, so my foster mom isnt too worried about me being a little escape artist. Im working on my manners too! Were practicing threshold training, so I learn to wait instead of launching myself through doors or flying out of my kennel like Ive just been released from prison. I can also jump when Im excited, so older kids who are comfortable around a bouncy puppy would probably be the best fit for me. My foster mom believes that structure and continued training will always be important parts of my life. Im a smart, energetic puppy, and I do best when I have clear expectations, a consistent routine, plenty of exercise, and positive guidance. Hi, Im Tillie! Im a 55-pound Am Staff mix with beautiful brown eyes, a face that will melt your heart, and a personality that is equal parts sweet, independent, goofy, and lets be honest a little bit queenly. Ive been through more than my fair share in life, but youd never know it by meeting me. I was originally rescued from the desert in Mexico and adopted by a wonderful family in the Twin Cities when I was just six months old. I was very loved and definitely the apple of my moms eye. I was the queen of the castle then, and Im pretty sure I still am! Unfortunately, I lost both of my people, and after my dad passed away, my mom passed away a few months later. I then had to fend for myself for a week in the home I knew as my own. Somehow, through it all, I remained the happy, loving, wiggly girl Ive always been. Im pretty darn resilient like that. These days, Im all about the good life and by good life, I mean couch, snacks, a comfy blanket, a full water bowl, and my people nearby. Im very laid-back and quiet at home. I love lounging on the couch, relaxing in the yard, watching the world go by through the window, and even watching dog TV. Im not looking for a family who wants a running buddy or a dog who needs hours of exercise every day. Im perfectly happy to hang out and enjoy the simple things. Every now and then, Ill surprise you with a little 30-second burst of energy. I might decide its time to toss a toy in the air, pounce on it once or twice, and then well, that was fun. Back to the couch! Toys arent really my thing, although Ill entertain you with a little toy shenanigans if you encourage me. I also have a very important relationship with blankets. Give me a cozy blanket on the couch and Ill happily bury my nose in it. Im not much for complicated sleeping arrangements, either. A couch or dog bed will do just fine. Im a practical girl. I love my humans, but Im not what youd call clingy. I like being in the same room with you, but I dont need to be the center of attention. Im perfectly happy lying beside you rather than ON you. Give me some good scratches, a fantastic butt rub, and maybe a kiss or two, and Ill be on my way to do my own thing. When you come home, though? Oh, I cant help myself! My whole body wiggles because Im so happy to see you. I love when my people talk sweetly to me and get down on the floor for a little playtime. And yes, Im a bit of a drool monster. Nobodys perfect. Im also completely potty trained and crate trained. I know kennel up and will happily go into my crate when asked, although I dont really need to be crated. Im also perfectly comfortable being left alone. I may let you know if I hear a strange noise, but otherwise Im happy to spend some quiet time napping. Now, I need to tell you about my VERY IMPORTANT RULE. I am looking for a home where I will be the only pet. No dogs, no cats, no other small animals. I know I can fool you because when I see another dog, I may wag my tail and look excited and curious. I dont bark or growl or give much warning, and someone might think Im saying, Hi! Lets be friends! Nope. That is not what Im saying. Once another dog gets close, I can react very differently, and I have a history of difficult interactions with other dogs. My foster family has three dogs, and attempts to introduce me have not gone well. So please dont think, Maybe Tillie just needs the right dog friend. I dont. I need to be your one-and-only furry family member. And honestly? Im perfectly happy with that arrangement. I have plenty of love for my humans, and Id much rather have you all to myself anyway. I also have a pretty serious prey drive. If theres a squirrel, rabbit, or other critter nearby, I may suddenly forget that humans exist. If I think I can catch it, Im going to give it my best effort! I can even be determined enough to try squeezing under or pushing around a fence to get to something interesting on the other side. A secure fence is important, and Ill need my humans to help me learn good fence etiquette. Im also a bit of a Houdini when it comes to collars. If my collar isnt fitted securely, I have an impressive little trick where I can suddenly whip my head around and slip right out. Im lightning fast and LOVE being free, so my humans will need to make sure Im safely and securely outfitted whenever Im outside. If I lived in an apartment where I regularly encountered other dogs in hallways or common areas, extra precautions would be especially important. On leash, Im okay, but Ill need some work if regular walks are part of my new life. I tend to pull and put my nose down to investigate all the exciting smells especially when Im hunting for critters. Once Im focused on something interesting, getting my attention back can be a challenge. You could say I have a strong independent streak. Im also working on my recall and learning to shake. Treats are definitely my preferred form of payment for my hard work. I know sit, and Im very good at begging for food. Priorities, right? As for kids, Ive done well with teenagers, and Ive never shown aggression toward people. I havent spent time around young children, though, so Id do best with older kids who understand that Im an independent girl and can respect my space. Little humans can be unpredictable and move quickly, so a home with older children or adults only would be the best fit for me. I came into rescue underweight and dehydrated after going without enough food and water for about a week, but I bounced back beautifully. I also had a broken toe that has healed. I do have some allergies that seem to be well managed with my current food, and I had some knee/ACL soreness when I was much younger. I havent shown any signs of knee pain or discomfort while in foster care and have never needed surgery. So, what am I looking for? Honestly, not much. I want a person or family who wants one awesome dog. Someone who will let me hang out in the same room, curl up on the couch, enjoy a shady patch of grass on a beautiful day, give me some scratches, keep my water bowl full, and make sure I have a full belly. I dont need to be constantly entertained. I dont need to be fawned over. I dont even need to be walked every day. I just want to be part of a family again. Ive had quite an adventure already, and I think Im ready for the peaceful chapter of my life. Im looking for my forever human the one who will love me as much as my past humans did and appreciate the sweet, quirky, strong-willed girl I am.
