Story
Hi!! I'm Penny Jo, but some of my friends call me PJ. I'm a happy, silly girl that just wants love and attention from my person. I LOVE toys, balls, ropes, and bones. When I'm not playing with my toys, I like to take a good cozy nap. I love to go for walks and play outside. I know basic commands like sit, down, shake and ask (bark). I am just a Meredith Gray trying to find her Christina Yang. I am in need of "my person" to make my days happier and for me to be your best friend in the whole wide world. I want to be by your side for all your accomplishments, your heart breaks, your little daily wins, and to help you pick out the perfect outfit. I am a polite girl, and do tend to have difficulty when others aren't as polite with their introductions. So a slow controlled introduction with other dogs works best for me! Overall, I am an awesome dog that wants to please her person. I take correction very well, am VERY smart and would love to learn more tricks! Apply today to meet me! Date of birth (estimated): 6/9/18 Good with Dogs: Slow introductions required - not a dog park pup Good with Cats: No Good with Kids: Older considerate children only House Trained: Yes Size: ~60lb Submit an application at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FEHR/Dog

Meet Root Beer! This 2 yr old Handsome Hunk has the sweetest puppy dog eyes. He loves all toys and when he's really excited, he has to pick up one to show it off. Root Beer loves to get pets and will rest his head on your lap if he wants more. He's great in the kennel and sleeps in it overnight without a peep. Root Beer has done well with other dogs but doesn't like to share toys. He's done best with the female dogs in his foster home. Root Beer would benefit from a person that can set firm boundaries to help him succeed as the best boy he can be. He's great with kids and all people. Root Beer is an amazing boy - it is hard to believe he hasn't found his people yet! Story
Hey friend! My name is Burton. I am a big hunky boy with lots of love to give. What's the perfect home for me? I need to be the king of the castle so to speak, which means I need to be an only pet. I have a pretty intense pre-drive so I definitely can't be around kitty friends. I have trouble with other dogs because I never learned proper boundaries when I was young. At my age it's just best that I be your one and only. I am super smart and love to learn new things. My foster family taught me how to run on a treadmill and I am awesome at it. I've learned other fun new things too that I'd love to show you so we can do them together! I also make a fantastic, snuggle companion. If you're lonely, cold, or just wanna watch a movie together I'm your guy. I also like relaxing with some chill music and a good chew bone. Because I do need to be an only animal, I also would love a fenced in yard. That way it will keep me safe, and I can run and play all the time with no worry. I forgot to tell you the best part... My new adoptive humans get free training sessions with my adoption with awesome trainer named Jake! We've been working together and he says I'm doing great and he wants to make sure my new family learns everything I have. If you think you might like to meet me, fill out an adoption application, and my people will be in touch. Hope to see you soon! https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FEHR/Dog

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. I'm Ace Odin, the self-proclaimed good boy extraordinaire! I'm all about the good vibes—gentle treat-taking, lap snuggles (don't tell me I'm too big to fit on your lap, because I'll prove you wrong), family car rides, and yard shenanigans are totally my jam. Whether I'm free-roaming at home or chilling in my open-kennel palace, I've got the relaxation game on point. And, let's not forget the bedtime adventures—snoozing in bed with my favorite humans is a must! Now, let's talk about my inner adventurer.  Walks? Count me in! Playing with toys and chewing on bones? Oh, you bet! I might not be into the whole "bring the ball back" thing, but throw it, and I'll give you a hilarious chase. When it comes to new folks, I will bark, especially if they show up on my turf. Just keep those introductions slow and supervised, and we'll be best buds in a flash. I do much better meeting new people on neutral territory. I can be more cautious around men, and if there's any arguing or kids wrestling, I'll play referee and check if anyone needs help. A home with older, dog-savvy kiddos (maybe above 10) is where I'll shine brightest. I'm not the biggest fan of cats, so a cat-free zone is ideal.  I can get startled by outside noises and will get vocal at times, so a home without shared walls will be best.  I have lived with dogs in the past and have done well.  Do you think I could be the pup for you? Let the adventures begin! Ace Odin is from a local shelter. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Picture this: the heart and mind of a labrador in a compact and bridled body. That's me! I am a ball-obsessed, outdoorsy, food-motivated, nose-oriented, cuddly, no-one-is-a-stranger-for-long kind of dog. On the flip side, I can be a bit overly exuberant in my greetings and easily distract-able. Like the beloved lab! Since coming to my foster home, I have been learning a lot. I've been picking up cues quickly, leaning into a routine with kenneling, and learning how to be a good housemate. I live with 4 humans, 3 dogs ranging from 55 to 9 lbs, and a cat I have yet to meet. Unfortunately for a fun guy like me, the dogs here are all seniors. I tried to get each of them to play, but was denied. So we happily co-exist. My main source of fun is walks and going to sniff spots for long games of fetch. All in all, my foster thinks I'm a fun and considerate companion still working through the last of my puppy exuberance. If you are looking for a pal of this variety, please apply so we can meet! Rafael Nadog is from a local impound. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. Story
Location: Granite Falls, MN **SPORT DOG POTENTIAL // ACTIVE EXPERIENCED HOME NEEDED** Hi! My name is Raider. I am a purebred American Bully (I'm embarked!) and am approximately 3ish years old and weigh 61lbs. I am a smart, happy boy ready to find my next adventure! So, sit down and relax while I tell you all about me! Let's start with the pawsitives- I really freaking looooveeee my people. I'm housebroken and crate trained. I know "sit", "shake", "lay down", "out", "around", "place" and "stay". I am also treadmill trained. Foster mom taught me how to play frisbee and I have competed in one UpDog frisbee competition and earned an award in novice division! I would love a home that would continue to play disc with me- either competitively or just for fun. I really like to do things that engage my brain and body- including tugging on the spring pole and even chasing the herding ball around the yard. I'm your do-it-all dog! I have high drive in the following areas: food, tug, ball, disc, possession, prey. I have medium hunt/search drive. While I have lots of work ethic and intensity, I have an excellent off-switch in the house and am an expert snuggler. I will happily binge all of your favorite TV show with you, no problem. Rest assured, you'll always feel safe with my macho presence and know I will alert you to visitors, rogue squirrels any other suspicious activity (when the cats do shifty things mainly). You can always count on me! You're probably asking yourself why such a great hambone like myself is in need of a home. I became available for adoption again after my pack-mate and I decided to have our own fight club... and unfortunately, we cannot reconcile our differences. I can't have a home with any other male dogs (submissive males *may* be ok). I want to be the man of my house! I live with three cats and don't pay them any mind. I get along with the female dogs in my home, but I don't appreciate them *excessively* invading my personal space. (The girl dogs in my house are stage 10 clingers). I do guard my food/toys/chews/crate from the other dogs, but not my people. Mom says this is easily managed, but I will need an experienced home to ensure my success. Outside of that hiccup, I need work on leash manners and emotion regulation. I am REALLY easy to live with at home, but I get overstimulated in situations outside of my element (waiting my turn to play, vet appointments etc.) and I would benefit from learning to navigate those big feelings appropriately. Foster mom has started working on this skill with me and she can provide educational training resources for my future home to help me be successful- so don't fret! Overall, I am a GREAT boy. I have lots of love and loyalty to give to someone and deserve the world. Would you give me a chance to be your forever? ** Raider is registered with AKC Canine Partners to participate in performance/companion events and his registration will be transferred to his new owner. Raider is a phenomenal dog who needs an experienced and knowledgable owner to be successful. Bull Breed/high-drive dog experience is strongly preferred. ---------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (Distemper, Rabies, and Bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration). Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $375 plus taxHowie is a cuddly darling! He’s a little clown who will make you smile every time you look at him.  He adores children and wants to play! He has a fierce bark, but immediately wants to make friends with anyone who comes in the door.  He still has his puppy energy.  He loves his rubber chew toys. Plays fetch and tug of war.  He is house-trained and trusted to be left uncrated throughout the day. He sits, and is fast learning other commands. He has gotten really good at walking on leash. That being said he does have basset hound in him so by instinct of his breed, he wants to pull once he gets on a track and needs to be reminded to “heel”. He does best with slow intro's to other dogs.  He’s going to be a great family dog, He's house trained and extremely smart with a goofball personality! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee $400 plus taxEloise is definitely a unique looking fuzzy pitty who’s mix is a mystery.  Eloise really has come a long way in foster care. Her confidence is growing and loves meeting new people of ALL ages. She tends to be more submissive or docile at first but doesn’t take long before she’s leaning in for some affection from anyone with a spare hand.  She has a goofy, playful personality and is very good at creating her own fun.  She is super affectionate and loves nothing more than to curl up on your lap like a 54lb cat for some belly rubs. Eloise gets along great with other dogs including the 13yr old resident dog.  It took about 2-3weeks for them to become BFF’s and follow each other around everywhere. She’s curious about the resident cat but really could care less. Her ears perk up and head tilts when the cat starts snarling and hissing at her. After a 30sec stare down Eloise just moves on.   She loves car rides and going to the park where she can run off her pent-up energy. She is okay on short walks but still needs a lot more work with pulling and wanting to jump around and grab the leash away. She gets so excited and just wants to go- go-go. She’d be great at agility or scent work or something fun and challenging. Very smart and quick learner so needs a job to keep her constantly busy and entertained                         If you have previously applied with us please email adoptionatmars@gmail.com to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption.
