Story
Lunar is a sweet dog with a strong bark. He is protective, and his anxiety makes him uniquely quirky. For the past 3 years, we have been unable to find a rehoming resource for him as we navigate moving, physical and mental health, and financial struggles. Due to a baby in the home and our inability to provide him with the quality of life he deserves, it is in our family's best interest to find him a home better suited to his day-to-day needs. He could use a fenced backyard or a very active owner. Lunar would love to meet you! He is often boarded, so he gets along well with other dogs and unfamiliar homes.

Story
Blue Heeler (Blu) is a 4 year old male who is energetic and super affectionate! Anyone who owns a Heeler knows they tend to come off anxious and shy at first but once he gets to know you, he’s loyal, protective, and your absolute best friend. Super in touch with emotions, and is EXTREMELY smart. Blu favorite game ever is tug and he is always down for a good game of fetch! At the moment, his owners are focused on their young child and new upcoming addition to the family. Sadly, they don’t have time for Blu anymore :(

Story
Jewels is looking for a place to call her forever home.  She is very sweet but timid and needs a family to make her feel safe and secure.  She is in a foster home with several other dogs who are both larger and smaller and she gets along with everyone.  She will definitely need another dog in the home to continue her learning to trust others and a very securely fenced yard, so she doesn't become fearful and run away.   She will need a patient owner or family who will give her time and space to adjust and not overstimulate her.  If you would like to adopt Jewels, please apply at Buttsmutts.com ##2354553##

Story
Here's the thing about Peach… She LOOKS like a puppy. But this little lady is actually at least 2 years old! She's basically a pocket-sized Catahoula. You know… the designer version for people who LOVE Catahoulas—the brains, the gorgeous coats, the eagerness to learn—but maybe don't have room in their house for the full-size model! Peach weighs… 34 POUNDS. THAT'S IT. She is so ridiculously little that it's almost comical. But don't let that tiny package fool you. Peach is full of personality! She's smart, playful, energetic, and LOVES hanging out with other dogs. Basically, she's a tiny package of brains + beauty + zoomies + fun. August 30, 2026, 6:05 pm

Australian Cattle Dog Collie

Female, Young
Atlanta, GA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Tweety is a cattle dog (likely mixed with a Smooth Coat Collie), which basically means she’s equal parts brilliant, busy, and always three steps ahead of everyone in the room. If there’s a job to do, Tweety has already done it… and improved it. Right now, Tweety is training in our Beyond The Bars program, where she’s channeling all that lively puppy energy and sharp intelligence into focus, structure, and partnership. She’s the kind of dog who makes you laugh one minute and say “how did you even figure that out?!” the next — constantly observing, learning, and engaging with everything and everyone around her. Whether she’s zipping through training exercises, locking eyes with her handler like she’s solving a puzzle, or soaking up a quiet moment of connection, Tweety is showing just how much potential she has. The puppy in her means her attention span is simiar to a gnat - lol - but when she's focused, she's really focused! August 30, 2026, 6:05 pm
