Story
Wow, how handsome is this guy?! Blake is a 50 pound smoosh cake of love! He's an approximately 2 year old cattle dog mix that was a resident at the Coweta County shelter for 8 months. This boy is incredible, he's loving, friendly and has the greatest disposition! He's crate trained, great with dogs, very active and playful and needs lots of exercise. He is respectful of little dogs, however not recommended around older dogs since he wants to play all day. Blake ADORES all people but too strong for small kids. One of his favorite things to do is retrieves balls! This great boy is doing great in the foster home, learning basic commands and eager to learn more! Story
I got Loki from a couple in SC on a breed specific rehoming group. They claimed he was aggressive towards the husband but didn’t explain to what extent. I’ve only had Loki for a little over a month and he’s become far more aggravated than I would have expected. I think he needs someone who’s home often and has time to train with him. He’s extremely intelligent and very loyal. I THINK he has separation anxiety but I’m not a vet so I can’t say for sure. He gets whiney when I leave for work and very mad when myself and my wife decide to exit the room together. He’s very energetic and loves to be outside. He’s well trained and understands many basic commands (when he wants to). He’s not a bad dog but I do think he wasn’t treated quite right before I got him and that may be his major issue.

Story
Introducing Roo, the lovable 2-year-old male dog who is patiently waiting for his forever home! This playful pup arrived at the shelter on 5/3/23 after being turned in by his previous owner, who sadly had to move and could not take him along. He is reportedly housebroken and good with kids. When it comes to manners, Roo is top-notch! He knows how to sit and is quiet when he is inside. Plus, he is up-to-date on all of his vaccines and has tested negative for heartworms. Additionally, he has already been neutered and microchipped, which means he is ready to find his new home as soon as possible. If you're looking for a playful and affectionate dog who will keep you entertained and shower you with love, then Roo is the perfect fit for you! Don't wait any longer to give this sweet boy the loving home he deserves. His ID number is 644481, and he can be found in Run #848. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER - names are oftentimes made up by volunteers. This beautiful baby and many others are available for adoption from the Cobb County Animal Shelter 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, call (770) 499-4136 for more information. Story
Look at this stunning hunk of love! This is Curtis. Curtis made this grand decision to explore the world and see if anything or anyone could welcome him into to their home as their own but the expedition was cut short and he was kindly escorted to the shelter on 5/24. Sadly, no one has come to reclaim this precious baby so Curtis is on a quick search for a home that will give him a nice, soft bed, toys, patience, treats and a lot of fun and games to play with you and the family. His breed is an active one so giving him activities to keep him stimulated and focused will keep him from wanting to explore the world all alone. But you have to be the one to help him with this. Can you be that person and keep him safe and sound so he doesn't return to the shelter? We know Curtis is hoping for that and we are too! He is an adorable little boy who is super sweet, calm and playful. He is also very obedient. Curtis is also super smart as he knows basic commands such as sit when asked. He may know more and would love for you to teach him! If you are looking for a companion for your pup, bring your pup and see if this baby is a match for your baby! Curtis is current on vaccines, neutered and will be micro chipped upon his adoption. He is 2 years old and weighs 49lbs. He would love to keep you on your toes so come visit him and get to know him better. Curtis has also tested negative for heart worms which is even better news for him! He will be waiting for you in Run 801. Curtis's ID is 645075. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff.
