Meet Odie! Odie is one of many dogs we have saved from rural Upson County lately. Being a very small, rural shelter the dogs are only held for a very short stray hold before they are at risk of euthanasia. Thankfully they have a very dedicated group of volunteers who work tirelessly to try to get the dogs to safety before their time runs out Odie is about a year and a half old and not even 35 lbs - what a great age and size! It's hard to know for sure what breed he is given that he was a stray but those tell tale spots could mean there is some heeler or maybe even bird dog in there. We prefer to think of him as 100% purebred Rescue Mutt - the best kid of dog there is! Odie is great with other dogs and has learned to really love his crate as well. He's a super social guy who was a big hit at one of our adoption events recently - stopping to greet all of the new people he came upon. Very easy, attentive, well trained. Tyson is a great companion to anyone looking for a more calm and relaxed dog. He loves to be snuggled and lay next to you on the couch. He still has a good bit of energy to go and play outside. He is super friendly with other dogs and people. Tyson is a very loving dog that needs a home that will show him the same amount of love. Tyson is very smart, and is very attentive to his owners commands. He responds to come, sit, lay, shake. He has a very calm temper. He may be 11 but he's very healthy and has a ton of life left, he just won't overwhelm you with it. He's the perfect speed. Age: 11 years WT: 48lbs. Story

Dingo is a 14-year-old purebred Australian Cattle Dog my family adopted as a puppy. He was a working dog who became my dad’s constant companion, traveling with him around Georgia while my dad worked as an independent insurance adjuster. Dingo is well trained, knows all basic commands, and was very active in his younger years, though age and hip issues have slowed him down. He’s calm now, enjoys being outside, and likes to stay near people since he’s hard of hearing. After my siblings and I moved out, Dingo lived with my dad until we lost him to cancer last year. A family friend has been fostering Dingo since then, but they’ve recently received a cancer diagnosis themselves, making it difficult to continue his care. Because of this, I’m trying to find Dingo a loving home where he can receive the attention and comfort he deserves in his senior years.
