Story
Wow, how handsome is this guy?! Blake is a 50 pound smoosh cake of love! He's an approximately 2 year old cattle dog mix that was a resident at the Coweta County shelter for 8 months. This boy is incredible, he's loving, friendly and has the greatest disposition! He's crate trained, great with dogs, very active and playful and needs lots of exercise. He is respectful of little dogs, however not recommended around older dogs since he wants to play all day. Blake ADORES all people but too strong for small kids. One of his favorite things to do is retrieves balls! This great boy is doing great in the foster home, learning basic commands and eager to learn more! Story
I got Loki from a couple in SC on a breed specific rehoming group. They claimed he was aggressive towards the husband but didn’t explain to what extent. I’ve only had Loki for a little over a month and he’s become far more aggravated than I would have expected. I think he needs someone who’s home often and has time to train with him. He’s extremely intelligent and very loyal. I THINK he has separation anxiety but I’m not a vet so I can’t say for sure. He gets whiney when I leave for work and very mad when myself and my wife decide to exit the room together. He’s very energetic and loves to be outside. He’s well trained and understands many basic commands (when he wants to). He’s not a bad dog but I do think he wasn’t treated quite right before I got him and that may be his major issue.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Lucy loves people, but asks for a few minutes of getting to know you. She is great with older kids (10 and 7) in foster, but she doesn’t know her size and might knock over a small child. She was kept outside and mistreated for most of her life, so she will need some patience and understanding as she adjusts.  Lucy is very smart and eager to please, so I expect her to take to training well. She is mostly house trained and will sit comfortably in a crate or a room by herself. Although she does prefer to be where the action is. More than anything, she needs positive reinforcement and love. Lucy doesn’t quite know how to approach other dogs for play, so she barks at first. But she can be very submissive once she feels safe. Basic obedience and social training are all she needs to grow into a perfect, loving companion. Age: 2 Yrs Old Weight: 55 lbs Temperament: Gets along with dogs with proper introduction and older kids Training: Working on house-training; would benefit from basic/social training Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions about Lucy email: marynimphius@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.June 5, 2023, 8:30 am

Story
Sweet, handsome Clyde is a shy guy but intelligent and eager. He'll bloom and grow once he's settled into a loving home. He's a pup of meager beginnings but has so much potential. Poor Clyde was living in a dark garage without even a name. So he's just now discovering the great big world around him. Clyde may need more time to adjust to a high-traffic home, but one-on-one time and social practice will get him there. He just needs a good human and/or dog mentor. He really livens up in the presence of his dog friends. Someone who understands introverts would suit Clyde fine, along with a fenced yard where he can sniff and explore. When he bonds, he bonds with his whole heart. He is sure to become a velcro pal to some lucky adopter(s). See Clyde's training in action! He's practicing socialization and building confidence every day. Videos: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLM4k_X15HKN6N2o7QvZvz_DXutRyMjF7M Age: Just under 1 yr Weight: 50 lbs  Temperament: Gets along with dogs and cats; older children preferred due to shyness Vetting: Neutered, up to date on vaccines, HW negative.  Training: Crate and housetrained; basics and socialization in-progess. To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review.
