Story
Bayli is an extremely intelligent dog! She was abandoned and needed to be cared for when I took her in. I’m disabled and unemployed so I can’t keep her. She’s house trained, knows how to sit, lay down, stay, get up/come. She’d be perfect in a home with other dogs. I truly love her and wish I could afford to keep her.

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet.Lucy loves people, but asks for a few minutes of getting to know you. She is great with older kids (10 and 7) in foster, but she doesn’t know her size and might knock over a small child. She was kept outside and mistreated for most of her life, so she will need some patience and understanding as she adjusts.  Lucy is very smart and eager to please, so I expect her to take to training well. She is mostly house trained and will sit comfortably in a crate or a room by herself. Although she does prefer to be where the action is. More than anything, she needs positive reinforcement and love. Lucy doesn’t quite know how to approach other dogs for play, so she barks at first. But she can be very submissive once she feels safe. Basic obedience and social training are all she needs to grow into a perfect, loving companion. Age: 2 Yrs Old Weight: 55 lbs Temperament: Gets along with dogs with proper introduction and older kids Training: Working on house-training; would benefit from basic/social training Vetting: Spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm negative Email for questions about Lucy email: marynimphius@aol.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. Please expect an adoption fee of $300; some of our urgent or long-term dogs have discounted fees.June 5, 2023, 8:30 am

Story
Sweet, handsome Clyde is a shy guy but intelligent and eager. He'll bloom and grow once he's settled into a loving home. He's a pup of meager beginnings but has so much potential. Poor Clyde was living in a dark garage without even a name. So he's just now discovering the great big world around him. Clyde may need more time to adjust to a high-traffic home, but one-on-one time and social practice will get him there. He just needs a good human and/or dog mentor. He really livens up in the presence of his dog friends. Someone who understands introverts would suit Clyde fine, along with a fenced yard where he can sniff and explore. When he bonds, he bonds with his whole heart. He is sure to become a velcro pal to some lucky adopter(s). See Clyde's training in action! He's practicing socialization and building confidence every day. To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Story
Todd Phox was rescued by Angels along with his beagle friend from a miserable situation: this poor kid was all alone at the shelter for over a week! No wonder he felt shy and insecure at first.    Upon arrival to the foster home, he took some time to start moving around the house and slowly interacting with dogs and people. He is still hand shy and definitely a flight risk, but we can already tell a lot about his emerging personality. We suspect this handsome young man (he is barely 9 months old) to be at least part Australian Cattle Dog  People who consider a heeler should carefully research about this breed, which has a lot of very special characteristics and is absolutely not for everyone!    Heelers are considered to be "shadow dogs", and even despite his shyness, Todd started following us around quickly. He doesn't like being left behind for sure and is vocal about it, but he does sleep in his crate at night.   We do believe that Todd would greatly benefit from having a dog companion who would show him a positive example of human interaction and help to bind with his new owners. The same companion should be playful and friendly, because Todd loves to play and would most probably annoy older dog with his frequent invitations.   Todd does need a lot of physical activity. He must have both off leash time and walks, so that he can explore. He is very clever and will require mental challenges as well as physical.   More about Todd:   He is 9 months old and still has growing to do. We estimate him to be around 40-45 pounds when full grown. He does shed, he has a soft, fluffy, double coat. He is food motivated and eats everything.   He walks well on a leash, but will need to be double leashed and watched carefully during the first few weeks in his new environment.   He is partially house trained and is making a great progress (basically from zero skills to having almost no accidents (within a 5 day period).   He is overall healthy and heart worm negative, but he has a fully healed scar on a side of his face that needs to be watched.   More pictures of Mr.Todd can be found here: https://www.flickr.com/gp/125343018@N03/2F8D0n94DW     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms    Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org    Note:   Some apartments and neighborhoods  have breed restrictions.
