Please contact Echo Dogs (adoptions@echodogs.org) for more information about this pet.Female - 8 months - 43 lbs. - Microchipped - Spayed - ILBIO Hello! My name is Cindy. My mom and 8 siblings were rescued from a kill shelter in December 2025. Mom had a DNA test done, and it showed that she was mostly Cattle Dog, Great Pyrenees, Shepherd and other mixes. Although we are mixed, and so cute, we were lucky to be saved. I am house trained and crate trained. I am a very good guest greeter. I do not run out the door when it is opened. I don’t jump or bark at people when they come over. My tail wags a mile a minute. Foster mom calls me Wiggle Butt.I do enjoy being around the other dogs in my foster home. I could be an only dog if you are home more often than not. I have not met any cats, so I do not know how I feel about them. I walk very good on a leash. I like going for car rides so I could definitely be a travel companion. I know a few commands and usually respond the first time they are given. I know inside, outside, sit, leave it, wait, easy, off, quiet and come. I am sure you can teach me a lot more.If you are looking for a nice, friendly dog and don’t care about the breed, I would make a great addition to your family. I really would love to have my own family. My fur is soft, white and I have brown spotted ears. I am absolutely adorable and smart too! Story
Katie is a beautiful 3-year-old red and white Cattle Dog who is spayed and ready to find a loving home. Katie has been through an incredibly difficult experience. She was found alone in her home after her owner had passed away, and it's easy to imagine how frightened and confused she must have been. Despite her heartbreaking past, Katie is a sweet soul with so much love to give. She can be cautious when meeting new people, but with patience and time, she warms up and forms strong bonds. We also learned that she was wonderful with the neighborhood children while living with her previous owner. Katie is an active girl who loves to run, so she will need a securely fenced yard or to always be walked on a leash, as she is known to take off if given the opportunity. She is also house-trained, making the transition into her new home a little easier. Katie is looking for a patient, understanding family who will give her the time she needs to feel safe and loved again. In return, she'll reward you with loyalty, companionship, and a heart full of devotion. Please contact Jan at 847-790-6458 for more information about Katie.

Story
Izzy (formerly Ostentatia Wallace) is a gentle, thoughtful soul who has quietly mastered the art of being an excellent house companion. Thought to be around 7 years old, she is fully house trained, non-destructive, and respectful of her surroundings—no counter surfing, no table begging, and no mischief when left alone. She crates well (with just a short moment to settle) and is incredibly easy to live with, making her the kind of dog who quickly feels like she’s always belonged.Izzy is very attentive to her people though does need slow introductions to new folks and does best in a calmer house with no young kids. She enjoys being near her humans, soaking up affection and attention, and loves being handled and petted. Izzy would like to be the only pet in the home and soak up all the attention. She already knows “sit” and, with her intelligence and willingness to learn, she has so much potential to pick up more cues and confidence-building skills.Outdoors, Izzy enjoys exploring and taking in her surroundings at her own pace. She isn’t particularly toy-motivated or fetch-focused, preferring relaxed romps and sniffing adventures. On leash, she gets excited when she sees other dogs or people and can be vocal.Izzy is a truly good girl—steady, loving, and ready for a home that will continue to help her grow in confidence while appreciating the wonderful dog she already is.Interested in adopting this dog?Visit our website (http://www.SecondCityCanineRescue.org) to fill out an application and to find out where this dog may be shown this weekend. We love our dogs. Story
Baby is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. This sweet 8-year-old mixed breed has a gentle soul, a constantly wagging tail, and so much love to give to the people around her. She’s fully house trained, happily lets you know when she’d like to go outside, and can be trusted with free roam of the home while you’re away. Baby adores being near her humans, whether she’s lounging on the couch, curled up in her dog bed, or joining you for a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. One of Baby’s most charming qualities is her calm, affectionate nature. She likes slow introductions to other dogs and would likely thrive in a family with children thanks to her patient demeanor. While she can be a little shy with fast movements or sudden pets, a slow and gentle approach quickly earns her trust. Baby is learning her leash manners and enjoys following the lead of her canine friends on walks. She especially loves being outdoors, as long as her favorite people are nearby.Baby’s foster describes her as grateful, loyal, and deeply loving — the kind of companion who simply wants to be cherished and included. She has playful little bursts of energy with her beloved crinkle toy, but she’s equally content relaxing close to her people. Because she struggles a bit with stairs, she would do best in a home with minimal climbing. In return, Baby promises endless devotion, soft companionship, and the quiet comfort that only a truly special dog can bring. We love our dogs. We want happy lives for all of them and are looking for the home that provides the best fit for each dog’s individual needs. Please understand that there may be multiple families interested in this dog. Also, please know that the breed mix listed is simply a guess. In most cases, we don’t know their background. Story
Male - 5 years - 40 lbs - Microchipped - Neutered - NYHi, I’m Ricardo. I’m a 5-year-old, 40 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and crate-trained. I use my crate as a safe space mostly; I do not need to be shut in my crate when I am left home alone. I have coexisted well with adults, with a preference for women, though I am very shy and don’t seek much interaction. I will accept calm affection from my foster mom. Most of the time I am happy to people watch from afar. I will need someone willing to be patient as I come around to them and my surroundings in my new home; I had had no or minimal human contact prior to coming to Echo Dogs so this human world is all new to me and I have been trying hard to learn! I love having the company of other dogs and will require at least one confident canine companion to help guide me. I am wonderful about adjusting my play style to match that of the dog I am playing with and all around have good canine social skills. I am also gentle around cats and wouldn’t mind having feline siblings. I have been learning about these things called toys and they’re pretty fun! I especially like the plushy toys and benebones. I have been working hard on leash skills and can now join on quiet outings! I may get nervous at times and need gentle encouragement. I am still pretty uncomfortable with car rides so that is also a work in progress. I have learned to reliably come to my foster mom when she calls me. I currently take clomicalm to help me manage my anxiety. I am a gentle-natured boy who is ready to find a patient human ready to help me continue navigating this human world—could you be my human(s)? He is asleep most of the day and can be left alone while his owners are at work. He regularly attends a local dog daycare and loves playing with other dogs. Gus is very affectionate and will gently greet you in the morning when you decide to get up. If you tend to sleep in like I do then he will gladly sleep in alongside you. He's very flexible in that regard and will lay back down to sleep if you need more rest. He is trained to sleep in his dog bed and will not get in bed with you unless you want him to. Gus can be very goofy and makes us laugh every single day with his expressive personality. Everybody falls in love with Gus when they first meet him! Gus responds really well to training! He is housetrained and knows all the essential commands. Unfortunately he does not get along with our cats and needs to find a loving new home. We are sad to see him go!

Hi, I'm Jazzy! Thanks for checking me out! I know my cute face is hard to resist, but here's the scoop: I'll need a lot of your time and attention as I grow up into the amazing adult dog I'm destined to be! I'm looking for a forever family that will help me with socialization, training (yes, that includes house training!), and plenty of exercise. And let's not forget the chewing and teething-I'm still learning what's okay (and what's definitely not okay) to put in my mouth. So, be ready for some puppy-proofing! Don't forget those vet visits! I'll need to stay up to date on my boosters and vaccines, which means a few trips to see my favorite vet in the first few months. But trust me, all that effort will be worth it when you experience the endless love, puppy kisses, and pure joy I'll bring into your life. So, if you're up for the challenge and the fun, why not come meet me in person? Stop by during our adoption hours. For more details, email info@ahconnects.org or give us a call at 847-697-2880 x: 0. The friendly folks here will be happy to answer all your questions! Can't wait to meet you and start our adventure together! All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.

Story
Libby is sure a unique-looking young girl; how can anyone not love her huge ears!! She is thought to be an Australian Kelpie Mix (possibly with Bull Terrier). She weighs about 30 lbs. Her estimated date of birth is June 5th 2023. Libby is a typical puppy, very energetic and playful. She likes to jump and can sometimes forget herself and be a little too rough with other dogs. But….…she is young and needs to learn boundaries and manners in order to evolve into a wonder family member with a forever family she so deserves.. This sweet pup likes playing with other dogs; she’s great with dogs and would enjoy the companionship of another dog in the home. Most likely, a young or middle-aged adult dog would prefer his company much more so than a senior dog. An ideal family for Libby is one able to assimilate the enthusiasm and playfulness of a puppy into their lifestyle and is willing to commit the time to working with and training Libby to be her best self! A secure fenced yard is required; another younger or middle-aged pup in the family could also be advantageous. Libby is crate-trained and is working hard to improve her house manners (housebreaking). She is up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations, is on heartworm preventative and is microchipped. Her spay is included in her adoption fee. For information about adding this adorable girl to your family please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895.

Story
Billie is an adorable young mix, thought to be a Pointer/Aussie/Lab mix. She’s about 44 lbs, a bit on the lean side currently. And estimated at 4 years old. Billie joined us from a very horrible neglectful situation. She along with eight other dogs was rescued from a trailer, after the owner of the trailer was taken to a mental health facility. All dogs were starved; two were starved to death. Billie was one of the survivors, but barely so. She was skin and bones when joining our rescue program….and a look of hopelessness filled her eyes. During the last several weeks that Billie has been in her BAARK foster home, she has made notable progress, gaining weight, looking better, feeling more confident, and showing us some pep in her step! She’s even starting to play with other dogs. An ideal home and family for Billie is one who can understand her past and give her the time and space she needs to continue to build her confidence, and blossom into a loving, playful girl that she deserves to be. Good nutrition is very important given her past. Billie obviously is good with other dogs but the preferred home for Billie would be as an only dog, or with another calm friendly dog. She’d love a secure fenced yard where she could run, play, and exercise. She is scared of quick movements at this time, so smaller children would likely be overwhelming to her; older children should be fine. If you would like to consider Billie for a member of your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. Note that BAARK is located in the NW Suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to our area.

Story
Noble is a sweet 2½-year-old Golden Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix with a big heart and plenty of energy. He loves long walks, bones, stuffed animals, playing with his sisters, and cuddling at night. He is house trained, with an occasional accident if left longer than 8 hours. Noble and his three sisters had a rough start. They spent the first 1½ years of their lives outside in the Florida heat with little socialization. I took them in, and Noble later completed two weeks of training at The Dog Wizard, which helped tremendously. He has never bitten anyone and loves attention from people. He does well with dogs, although he can be loud and rough at first when playing before settling down. One of Noble’s sisters, Halo, is also available for adoption, and I would love to keep them together if possible. They have been together since birth. Rehoming them is incredibly hard, but four dogs has become more than I can manage. I hope to find someone who will love him as deeply as I have.
