Please go to our website, http://www.hoovershausealldogrescue.com/ and complete the adoption application. MUST BE 24 YEARS TO ADOPT!! Once your application is approved, the WI manager will call you to discuss adoption, answer questions and set up a private meet and greet if you are interested. This process can take up to 7 days. YOU MUST COMPLETE THE ADOPTION APPLICATION: www.hoovershausealldogrescue.com EVERY DOG IS UP TO DATE ON VACCINES FOR THEIR AGE.                                           RABIES VACCINE IF OLD ENOUGH.  SPAYED OR NEUTERED (regardless of age) NO EXCEPTIONS HEARTWORM and FLEA/TICK PREVENTATIVE MICROCHIPPED CERTIFIED VETERINARIAN INSPECTION CERTIFICATE ***WE ARE NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC*** ADOPTIONS ARE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY! Rozzlo is a 1 year old, Red Heeler and Shepherd mix  Rozzlo and his litter mates were surrendered to the shelter at just 1 month old. He spent 2.5 months in the shelter, until his foster mom came in one day to pick out a new foster pup before Christmas! He has been with his foster mom for quite some time now because he requires an extra special someone to spend his life with.  He has a typical goofy puppy personality. He’s about 55 pounds and is great for someone looking for a dog that’s about the average size of a heeler. He loves his toys and tug of war is his favorite game. He enjoys a good game of chuck, too. Due to his breed mixture, he is extremely smart and learns most things quickly. He is kennel trained, potty trained, basic obedience trained, he rides well in the car (in his kennel), he walks well on leash, and loves to cuddles. He is not allowed on all of the furniture, so he does have an understanding of house rules. He tolerates baths, but is amazing at getting his nails done, teeth brushing, and fur brushing! He is very funny, loves to rough house with his people, and loves to talk.  He will require some form of daily exercise and training to keep him balanced and fulfilled. However, he does not require an unmanageable amount.  Rozzlo is looking for a very special person or family. This person must understand dog behavior and be willing to take on the responsibility of a dog who will need special care & training to thrive. Due to being dropped at the shelter so young and his genetic make-up, Rozzlo has some sass. He needs to be the only pet and the only child, for the rest of his life. He loves his adult humans, but needs to have someone that won’t force him to try to “make friends” with everyone. He’s pretty shy and doesn’t really trust strangers. As long as his person advocates for him and his space, he does fine out and about.  As always, we never guarantee the breed OR the size they'll be as an adult. MY ADOPTION FEE is $125.00 and I am only available in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth area We thank you for ADOPTING A HOOVERS HAUSE RESCUE DOG..... every dog adopted allows us to open our homes to save another! Story
Fishy is about 11 months old(1/28/24).  He is crate trained, playful. Would do well with a doggie friend with proper introductions. He is active and will need exercise. He hates fireworks.(when outside with them going off) is fine inside with them.   He did break a leg when he was young.  The broken leg has healed but it may or may not result in arthritis when older. He lives with a cat now and is ok but he does tend to chase him because of both the puppy side of him as well as the herding dog.  We simply do not want something to happen accidentally to someone’s cat.  .  $250 adoption donation cash or Venmo or PayPal. He is fully vetted neutered and up to date on distemper shots and rabies.   we do have him listed as not house trained.  He is ok in his crate and can hold it.  We will  not list him as house trained because your schedule may be different then his fosters. This can result in accidents until a new routine is established. That said he does know what to do and is very smart.  If you can't adopt or foster, please think about sponsering a cat/dog, puppy/kitten. Just $20 a month will help feed one. Just $40 will get a kitten spayed/neutered. The possiblities are endless. These creatures come from shelters who by no choice of their own, would have to put the down, simply because there are too many. The more donations we receive, the more we are able to help. Thanks in advance for your support.February 22, 2024, 12:17 am

Story
Carson is a gorgeous 2 month old mixed breed female pup who weighs about 6 pounds. She has an adorable black and white spotted coat! We expect her to be medium size when fully grown. Carson is a sweet little girl who can't wait to have a home of her own! She was found abandoned with two of her littermates in Texas, and is dreaming of a life in WI where she will be loved and spoiled the way she is meant to be! She has been working hard on her potty and crate training, but her new family should be prepared to do additional training in these areas, as her routine in your home will be very different than what she is used to in a foster home in Texas. She is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and she comes with her medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies her to be in good condition. Carson's adoption fee will contribute to our program of readying additional dogs, puppies and kittens which we prepare, transport and adopt out in the Midwest. Our goal is to get as many homeless animals out of south Texas, where we have a severe pet overpopulation crisis.

Story
Ginger will be 2 years old on 1/23/2024. She is a sweet, high energy pup that loves a good walk. She is a mutt; based on her characteristics, I would guess that she’s a rat terrier/Australian cattle dog. She was adopted in August 2023 from the Wisconsin Humane Society. She has since been to the Vet and is in good health including all vaccinations. She has also attended a 6 week basic obedience class where she learned leash walking and a few commands such as “Sit” “Stay” and “Come”. Ginger is excited to please her owners. Ginger has been reactive with our cat and the neighbor’s Alpha dog. She loves to play but will need an extra set of eyes on her when playing with young children.

Meet Izzy! She is a beautiful girl with soft, medium length, fuzzy, fur. Izzy is a quick learner and will thrive in a home dedicated to helping her continue her training with positive reinforcement and plenty of exercise. She would love a doggie sibling or weekly daycare/play dates to keep her from getting bored. Most of all she just wants to be with her family. She is house trained and crate trained. Izzy loves car rides, neighborhood walks, and relaxing with her people on the couch. Izzy does well with other dogs, when introduced properly. She is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. If you would like to meet this sweet girl and make her part of your family, please complete an application at https://forrescue.net/dog-application/ . Story
Sweet Dee is a very relaxed gal who takes everything in stride. She is great with cats, ok with dogs. She likes being around her dog foster brother, but she doesn't ask to play or play with him when asked. She is crate trained and just sleeps when crated. She is learning about toys. This little darling just loves to lean into you for snuggles. She has very gentle manners and walks well on a leash. While she is a heeler mix, she is a pretty chill gal, and at 2 years is past the puppy phase. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/40103261297/ Ask to meet me today!!
