Dotty... aka Dorothea Von Dot is an adorable, 11-week-old mixed-breed country girl who is sweet, smart, and ready to be part of a family. She currently lives with an 8-year-old child, a resident dog, and a very senior cat, and has done well with all of them, respectfully backing off when the cat says enough. Dotty is curious, people-oriented, enjoys snuggles, and is already learning leash skills and potty training, with an expected adult size of about 40 pounds. Story
Mando was rescued from Wright Way in Chicago, IL a little over 2.5 years ago. He was listed as an Australian Cattle Dog, but likely a mix. Mando is our second rescue. We love Mando, but as he’s grown, he’s becoming extremely territorial, anxious, and aggressive with our older dog. We also have a small daughter, and we can’t risk an injury jf she gets caught in between them. We enlisted professional training services, installed an invisible fence to increase exercise, but the issue persists. After careful contemplation, we’ve decided to place Mando up for adoption so that he can be more comfortable in a different environment, preferably one without another dog or cat and low levels of loud noises (sirens/motor cycles). We believe an environment that promotes activity and low levels of noise will suit him best, but he’s lived in downtown Chicago and the suburbs already. Overall, Mando is loving, smart, cuddly, active, and loyal. We hope we can find him a perfect home soon.
