Say hello to Marley! Marley is a sensitive herding-breed dog who is looking for a calm, patient home where he can feel safe and build confidence. He has a history of fear and anxiety, but his foster parent reports that he is very snuggly and fun-loving once someone has earned his trust! Marley is not a good fit for homes with children under 5, and any children under 17 must meet him prior to adoption. Marley must meet any resident dogs and may prefer to be the only dog in the home. He has no known history with cats, so careful introductions would be needed. Marley will do best with an experienced and understanding adopter who can provide exercise, structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. In the right environment, he has the potential to be a loyal and rewarding companion.Marley is currently living in one of our wonderful foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! She’ll do best with an adopter who understands the breed: someone who can provide regular exercise, mental stimulation, structure, and consistency. A home that enjoys training, outdoor activities, and engaging her sharp mind would be a perfect match. She’s not looking for just any home—she’s looking for the right one. One that will respect her intelligence, meet her needs, and commit to her for life. Our adoption fees are listed on our website and cover the cost of the spay/neuter, age-appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. Most dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers so there is often very little known about their history or current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. Meet Roxanne! This sweet cattle dog mix is such a cuddle bug! At just four months old, she is already keeping her indoor area clean and goes outside to potty. Roxanne does well with other dogs and cats and loves attention. At this time, she is not a fan of being crated but does well outside of her crate. Roxanne’s current foster says she is absolutely precious and she could just hold her all day long.
