We brought in Trig as a foster in January 2023. He was with our family for awhile until we found him a good forever home, or so we thought. In December 2023 we got a call that he was surrendered at a nearby shelter. We brought him back into our home and are now hoping to find his perfect match. We have a seven year old German Shepherd who Trig gets along SO well with. We also have 3 young children who unfortunately seem to make him very nervous. He has snapped at them a few times when approached suddenly. We are unsure exactly why because of his otherwise friendly nature, but because of this we think he would do best with a family with older children. He is such a good boy, a huge cuddler, a great walker, loves adults, and all other animals. He is fully potty trained and knows simple commands. Is not crate trained only because we let the dogs roam free in our household. Overall a fantastic dog just needing the right family dynamic!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Franklin, our newest arrival at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue. Franklin is a Blue Heeler Mix, he’s only 7-8 months old, and he weighs about 50 pounds. He is a friendly, affectionate, and well engaged dog and he walks very nicely on leash. Franklin likes to bring you his toys and he will nudge you for some play time. Franklin has his first Vet appt. in Dexter on Friday, June 21st. He has had some vaccinations and has been on HW prevention and flea/tick meds since April. Franklin will get the rest of his vaccinations, a wellness check, and a heart worm test at his upcoming appt. He will be scheduled for neuter surgery on another date soon thereafter. If you would like to meet Franklin, please submit an adoption application under his name at happydaysdogandcatrescue.org . Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Our adoption fee is $220 for adults, $295 for puppies (under 6 months), and $150 for seniors (8 yrs and up) which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. This baby and siblings were found by a passerby on the side of a street. They are a beautiful bunch of colors!! Some speckled, some merle, a couple brown and a lone black and white pup. They are very friendly and would be fine in any type of family environment. They will need the basic puppy training but will adjust to any routine given to them. They have no experience with cats so that will need to be a bridge to cross if needed. These babies are quite calm for their breed, maybe they'll grow into more energy?! They seem a little standoffish but warm up to people and they do like to play (especially with shoe laces). These are a sweet bunch of babies and all they need now is a forever family. This sweet girl is Frida! Frida and her 3 siblings ended up at the county Animal Control as small puppies. They came to Animal Harbor in January of 2024 and have been with us ever since. All puppies in this litter are happy go lucky pups that are super social and just want love! Frida is a 7 month old female Cattle Dog Mix and is 38lbs. All pets that are adopted out of Animal Harbor are fully vetted. This means they are spayed/neutered and receive a Rabies, yearly vaccinations, preventatives for heartworms as well as flea/tick, and microchipped along with any additional vetting required to keep them healthy and happy. Dogs/puppies 6 months and above are all heartworm tested (and treated if needed). Animal Harbor is located in Middle TN, but transport to a location near you is included in your adoption fee. We use Rescue Riders Pet Transport, (www.rescueridersllc.net), the most animal-friendly transport on the road.
