This is a courtesy post for Silver Lake Animal Rescue League to help find Sugar Bear a forever home. So if you are interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.Sugar Bear is a sweet 6-7 year old mixed breed dog (we don`t know any of her breeds!). Since she has tall ears, we are thinking possibly Cattle Dog mix? She weighs around 35 lbs so she is the perfect medium size dog - not too big and not too small!Sugar Bear`s family was evicted from their home and they put poor Sugar Bear out on the streets. Luckily, a neighbor witnessed this and contacted the local animals shelter. Sugar Bear is now searching for her forever home.Sugar can be a little shy when she meets a new person but once they pet her, she warms up very quickly! Since she can be a little shy, we would recommend a quieter home and one without small children.Sugar enjoys car rides, cuddling and always being with her person, going for walks and naps! Her favorite hobby is chasing squirrels so for that reason, she may not be good with cats or very small animals. She is in a foster home with another dog and does fine with her. She is a very smart girl and listens very well when you call her name. She would make a great agility dog!If interested in Sugar Bear, please email slarl@yahoo.com with any questions.https://www.petfinder.com/dog/sugar-bear-73335576/mi/clawson/silver-lake-animal-rescue-league-mi155/

Story
MEET KYLO! Breed: Australian Cattle Dog MixEstimated DOB: April 16, 2025 Hi there! My name is Kylo, and I’m an adorable Australian Cattle Dog mix puppy with a heart full of love and a whole lot of potential. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter, and I’m so thankful to have a second chance at life. Now, I’m ready to find a forever family who can help me grow, learn, and thrive! At just a baby, I’m still figuring out the world around me. I can be a little shy at first, but once I warm up, I’m playful, curious, and eager to learn. I’m already working hard on my house manners and getting used to my crate – I want to be the best pup I can be! Leash walking is something I’m still getting the hang of, so I’ll need someone patient and gentle to help me build confidence. A fenced yard would be a huge plus for me – it gives me space to safely burn off energy while I continue learning how to walk on a leash. I get along great with other dogs who are okay with a bit of puppy energy, though I might be too much for older or more mellow pups. I’ve even met a cat and did well! I’m good with kids too, but since I’m a herding breed, I might try to “round them up” if I get too excited – so supervision around small children is important while I learn good habits. I’m an active breed, so I’d love an owner who enjoys walks, playtime, training games, and maybe even dog sports someday! I love to explore, learn, and be part of the action – and I’ll be happiest in a home that can keep me mentally and physically stimulated. At the end of the day, I’m just a happy-go-lucky pup looking for someone to share life’s adventures with. If you're ready for a smart, loyal, and loving companion, I might be just the pup you’ve been waiting for. Gibbs can go home with you but will remain in foster-to-adopt status until his neuter surgery has been completed at 6 months of age at one of our partner Veterinary offices (Chesterfield, Clawson, Clinton Twp, or Rochester), which is included in the adoption fee and is non-negotiable. Let’s start our forever journey together – adopt me and let the fun begin! Kylo is:Current on Rabies and DistemperDewormedHeartworm Tested: NegativeReceiving Heartworm and Flea PreventionMicrochippedWill be scheduled for neuter surgery at 6 months of age at our partner veterinary clinic.ADOPTION FEE: $375 IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN THIS PET, PLEASE COMPLETE THE APPROPRIATE APPLICATION FOUND ON OUR WEBSITE HTTP://FUREVERTAILS.COM. Unfortunately, at this time we are not currently adopting outside of the state of MI. We process applications ONLY - there is no guarantee that you will get a response to an inquiry. FUREVER TAILS IS A NON-PROFIT, NO-KILL, FOSTER HOME BASED ANIMAL RESCUE BASED OUT OF OAKLAND TOWNSHIP, MI. Story
**Meet Raleigh!** This charming 9-month-old Australian Cattle Dog is ready to find his perfect forever home! Weighing in at 35 lbs, Raleigh was rescued from an overcrowded shelter and is now looking for a loving family to share his sweet personality with. Raleigh is a bit shy at first, but he bonds quickly with his people and will become your loyal companion in no time! While he can be a little leery on leash walks, he’s gaining confidence and will thrive in a supportive environment. This sweet boy would thrive in a home with another social dog to help him with his confidence journey. He’s only recently met a cat, and he’s still trying to figure out what to think of our feline friends! Raleigh would do best with older, dog-savvy children who can understand and respect his shy nature. As a herding breed, Raleigh is an active pup that needs plenty of engagement and activity, so a fenced yard would be ideal for him to run and play freely! He’s doing well with house manners, especially with a consistent routine, and he’s crate trained, ready to settle into his new routine with you! Interestingly, Raleigh is still discovering what dog toys are, but he absolutely loves treats! If you’re an active family looking to build a lifetime of memories with this lovable little guy, Raleigh is eagerly waiting to meet you! Let’s give Raleigh the loving home he deserves! Story
MEET FLASH: Breed: Australian Cattle Dog MixBorn: February 16, 2025 Hi there! I'm Flash, a bright-eyed, tail-wagging Australian Cattle Dog mix full of love, curiosity, and playful energy. I was rescued from a high-kill shelter, and I’m so grateful to have a second chance at life. Now I’m on the hunt for a family to call my very own! As a pup, I’m still learning about the big wide world – but I’m a fast learner and super eager to please! I love exploring new places, sniffing out fun adventures, and figuring out how to be the best puppy I can be. Right now, I'm working on my house manners and getting more comfortable in my crate – making great progress every day! Leash walking is still a little new to me, so I’ll need a patient person to help me build my confidence. But I promise I’m worth it – I just need a little encouragement and love. Please note that due to my breed, I am not going to be happy in an apartment or mobile home as I need room to run and burn off some energy. I get along well with other dogs, especially those who understand and can handle my bouncy puppy energy! I’ve even met a cat before and did just fine. I’m good with kids too, but since I'm a herding breed, I sometimes get a little too excited and may try to "herd" them. So supervision with little ones is important as I learn my boundaries. I’ll thrive in an active home with someone who can keep up with my smarts and energy – walks, playtime, training sessions, maybe even agility or a job to do? Count me in! Overall, I’m a happy-go-lucky pup with a big heart and an even bigger personality. I just need someone to give me a shot – and in return, I’ll give you endless love, loyalty, and tail wags. Could you be my forever person? Let's find out – adopt me and let’s start our adventure together!
