Story
Meet Davie! Davie didn’t come from the best situation where he was properly socialized so we are working on building up his confidence and having him learn all about being a dog! Davie depends on other dogs to guide him the way as Davie has limited vision. He can see a little and will learn his surroundings very quickly, so a confident dog friendly dog is needed for Davie to succeed in life. Davie is looking for a patient owner who is willing to spend time with him and help him learn. He is very sweet once he learns his environment. He plays with other dogs very well! Davie came into PAR terrified of life, but he is making big baby steps and is getting more confident every day! Davie is a 9 month old Aussie/Hound/Boxer mix that is 60 lbs., neutered, and up to date on vet care. Davie’s adoption comes with 2 sponsored training sessions with a certified dog trainer within a 25 mile radius of Lapeer. To meet this handsome boy, please fill out our application for preapproval at the following link and then we can set up a meet and greet at your convenience. https://www.parpets.org/adoption-application.html PAR does have open hours to the public from 10am to 1pm on Saturday’s if you’d like to come meet the dogs.

Story
Charlie is a 9 year old purebred Australian Shepherd. He would be best suited in a home without other dogs or small children. Ideally, I would love him to go to a farm or a home with a big yard, but he would be just as happy in any home. He’s a very happy dog and very smart.

Story
What a cutie, those ears are everything! Nibblet is estimated to be about 10 months old and weighs 23 pounds right now. Meet the adorable Nibblet, a bundle of bubbly joy looking for her forever home! This outgoing and playful pup is all loose and wiggly, with a cute, happy feet kind of vibe. She's always eager for attention and craving closeness and affection. Nibblet came to the rescue a little skinny with some hair loss, but with good nutrition, care and love, we are getting her in tip-top shape! She can be submissive though with a little cowering when she's unsure, but with your love and guidance, she'll blossom into a confident girl. With her happy personality, she's sure to bring so much love to a home, she really is the sweetest. Nibblet is hoping to find a family who will help her build her confidence and provide the structure and basic obedience training she needs to thrive. If you're looking for a loyal friend to adventure with and shower with love, Nibblet is the pup for you. Come and meet her today—she can't wait to start her new life with you! She will need a home where any children are at least 4 years old. If you are interested in Nibblet and are at least 21 years old, please come to our kennel during business hours, make an appointment, or fill out an application at k9stray.com and an adoption counselor will be in touch. We look forward to helping you find your new best friend! *Please check your lease agreements for breed/weight restrictions prior to applying. We also do not do cat testing, so we do not know how a dog will do with cats. Not all dogs are available to go home on the same day you first meet.*

Story
Daisy is a typical Australian shepard - tons and tons of energy and whip smart. Would be a great working dog. She does have a tendency towards food aggression and might work best in a home where she's the only animal. Daisy needs an experienced owner as she is very reactive towards people, other animals, and vehicles.
