Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 2/3/24 Still available! 11/11/23 Hattie was abandoned along with her 2 sons, when their owner moved away and left them behind. Hattie is a medium size, about 35 lbs. We believe she is a heeler/Australian Shepherd mix, although she does not show any herding tendencies. Hattie is a shy girl and is easily frightened. She has a fear of men especially. She has not shown any aggression, she just tries to hide when she is afraid. Hattie gets along very well with other calm dogs, but rambunctious dogs overwhelm her and she tries to hide from them. Hattie would do best in a calm, quiet home, with people who can be patient and kind to her and help her build her confidence. You can hardly blame her for her fears after she was abandoned like a piece of garbage, and there is no telling what she went through prior to that. She can be very affectionate once she feels safe and secure. In the right home, she will learn that not all humans are cruel, and she will open up to those who show her kindness. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NJ 5am Fridays Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 2/24/24 Still available. 2/3/24 Echo is a super cute, stocky little short guy of unknown heritage. He came into rescue when the person he had been given to realized he had mange. It was a pretty bad case and took a while to clear up, but he's in the clear now and has a beautiful coat! Echo is friendly and good with other dogs. He has not been around cats to our knowledge. Echo is about 3-3 1/2 months old now. He is working on house training and doing really well with it, as long as he is taken out frequently. He weighs about 15 lbs currently, and will probably be around 40 lbs when grown. We do not know his breed. He has been neutered and is utd on vaccs, microchipped, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
How did this precious young lady end up as a stray? It appears that someone had previously worked with her and perhaps even trained her to be an indoor pet. She shows a strong desire to make her humans happy and is eager to please. She loves all humans, even the really small ones. She does well with cats, cows and other dogs as well. She loves to go for rides in anything. Leash walks are a breeze for Angel, showcasing her excellent behavior. Whoever welcomes Angel into their home will undoubtedly find themselves incredibly fortunate. She has all the qualities of an exceptional companion. Angel is a happy, healthy girl who is ready for her forever home. If you are interested in adopting me or any of my Funny Farm friends please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works, read about all the vetting I will have before coming home, and you will also find the link to submit the adoption application. Oh boy, these babies are going to be a whole lot of fun! There are three adorable puppies in this litter and each one of them is just as friendly, happy and loving as they can be. They are carefree, playful puppies and love nothing more than running around playing, napping and playing again. They also love people and they will come running as fast as they can, seeking a little of that one-on-one attention. All Motley needs now is a fun and active family to call his own. Motley was born 12/27/23 making him 12 weeks old and weighing 16 pounds at the time of this posting (3/26/24). He has been completely vetted, including neuter, microchip, fecal test, all vaccinations, worming and he is on heartworm and flea prevention. He gets his last shot on 4/8 & will be ready to travel any time after that. His adoption fee is $400. Motley is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted he will be transported to his pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and his fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine on this particular dog since we can’t adopt directly to those states.
