Story
Looking for a ride along friend, snuggle bug, adventure pal, confidante and best friend? Maybelline might just be your girl! With a heart of gold, an eagerness to please, a smile so beautiful it’ll light up a room–Maybelline has been searching for the perfect home who appreciates what she’s got to offer! Maybelline is a 4 year old Australian shepherd/Australian cattle dog mix with a walk like a Corgi. She is 40lbs which we think is the perfect medium sized pup! Maybelline has lived outside her whole life, so she’s looking for a home that’ll be patient with her while she learns the ropes of indoor living. Right now, her foster mom says she’s acclimating so fast! Maybelline is a very happy go lucky girl. She loves to snuggle up on the couch and hold you hostage. She likes to eat ALL the food you have to offer her–even if it’s a bite of your burger, she doesn’t mind. She will hog the bed, act as a heating pad on the couch, follow you like a shadow, accompany you on any adventure that awaits and will do so without complaints. Maybelline is the picture of a loyal companion. She’s quirky, but who doesn’t love a quirky girl? Her smile comes off as more of a smirk and we giggle every time it comes out. Her eyes are SO expressive. Her whole body will wiggle with joy the second she sees you or hears your voice. She’s such a happy dog. Her nub tail goes a million miles a minute the higher your voice goes. Maybelline enjoys treats, especially if it’s lunch meat. Specifically turkey. She’s a little on the picky side with dog food, but she’s just watching her figure! Because she’s snack motivated, training with her will be extra fun! She is great on leash and enjoys nature walks. She’s not a fast paced girl but hikes could also be her thing! A trip down to the lake could also prove to be a blast! Maybelline is great in the kennel for just learning what one is. She’s a patient girl who waits her turn to come out. She’s also potty trained to perfection! If Maybelline seems like the beauty queen you’re searching for, apply now before she gets adopted! She has been spayed, microchipped by rescue and treated for heartworms - on prevention and up to date on vaccines. She has no special needs or medical needs. FOSTERED IN TEXAS. *Adoption Fee ($550.00) includes transport options to PNW (WA, UT, ID), Midwest (MN, WI, MI, OH, IL, IN) or select New England States (NY-NJ-CT-VA-VT) by pet transport partners. She was heartworm positive so it was necessary to bring her to Houston for a rescue to treat her and work on an adoption plan for her. She has cattle dog blood so herding and chasing chickens is possible, since arriving in the suburbs, she's only shown an interest in being a couch Queen. Foster Notes: Maybelline is a super friendly girl but would do best in a home that has only male dogs or where she will be the only dog! She doesn’t pair well with female dogs per rumors - she has been good with younger female dogs and easy going females. Even though she sometimes doesn’t mix well with other mature dogs - this girl is still super deserving of the perfect home! Video: https://youtu.be/WFcJQHVijpo?si=Eggx0TomiljQqI8C

They call me  "Lil Miss". If we try and play, I Wiggle my Butt. Pretty much Every Day, All Day, I'm Wiggling my BUTT! No, not any medical condition causing it unless there is a condition of showing how HAPPY I am for Any and All attention! It's just ME being ME! Oh, yes, I'm good with People, but am initially shy and need some time and patience to warm up.  I really like other Dogs. Cats are an unknown option at this point.  So if you Love Wiggle Worms, I'm your girl! Get that Application IN! We can Wiggle into the world Together! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey all, I'm Nova a 37#, 14 month old female, Austrailian Cattle Dog from WV. I'm a HAPPY HAPPY gal. My owner went to jail when I was a wee pup, a lady took me in, but her yard was small so If outside I've always had to be on a chain. Ugh!that has been living in a home but only out on a short chain. Since transport up to PA I've been in super pup friendly foster home with other buddies to play with, room to roam and soft bed to land. I am almost house trained with only a few accidents, needing to get into a routine. I love to do Zoomies, wrestle with big and small 4 leggeds, go for rides, walks and play some ball! What more does a pup want from life.. Well, Maybe a NEW FUREVER HOME! Already know how to sit, shake, down, learning wait too. I come from a distance SUPER QUICK especially if there is a treat involved once arriving at your feet. I'm super food motivated but will wait my turn when treats are handed out. Never a growl or teeth showing around food. My only fault is I do like to hurd. Yes, been to Petco, did GREAT with people large and small, other pups, but if a child zoomed past, I tried to stop and control the little one. Oh, well, is in my make up/mind set I guess. So, if you are looking for a little gal, who goes belly up for a rub, gives soft kisses and loves your attention, I'm for you! Inside I did learn house manors: So, get off your duff, complete an application. Let's ring in the New Year together start 2026 with a BANG! Check out my photo shoot and VIDEO!Interested in meeting me?  Complete an on-line application!
