Story
Hiya, I'm Link! A young boy like me is always ready for adventure, however I am looking for a partner that can take me through the serious training that I'll need in order to be adventure ready. As I was a stray, I can be a bit nervous with new people and I will let you know it. I'm not a fan of sharing my items and I'm picky with my dog friends too, although I may be good with the right one. I enjoy chin scratches and resting with my friends, but I don't enjoy cuddles. I'm looking for a home where all household residents are over 15, as I'm really looking for a family that is dedicated to making sure I succeed in my adventures. If you're interested in devoting time to have the best partner around, please stop by the shelter to meet me. ---This animal is available by appointment only. Please reach out to schedule a visit with one of his handlers!---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Hello, I'm Magdalene and boy, do I have a story I could tell...if I could talk.I was caught and brought into the shelter as a stray after running free for TWO months! Two whole months, I was living on my own. Now, I'm a quiet shelter wondering what's next. Since I came in as a stray, the staff doesn't know too much about me. I'm nervous and scared right now so making new friends is slow going, but once I do, I am sweet and even seem to like belly rubs - but you have to earn my trust to see this belly. I'm not sure how I feel about other dogs yet, so a visit would be necessary. As for cats, those are an unknown too. My breed typically isn't a cat friendly breed, but we're all different, I may do OK with a proper introduction. Because so much about me is unknown and I'm still figuring things out, I need an experienced adult only family whose had cattle dogs before and knows what my breed needs. If you think that's you, reach out to my friends here at the shelter to see if we'd be a match!---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm. This dog is available by APPOINTMENT ONLY.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. Meet Hilda! This beauty was on the euthanasia list at a nearby shelter this week. Thanks to fosters who committed to taking her, we were able to pull her from the shelter and literally save her life! This is why fosters are always needed, there are always dogs on euthanasia lists that need saving! Anyhow, let’s find Hilda a forever home! Hilda is only 42 lbs. and a wee 24” tall. She is AMAZING with other dogs and kids. She is mild mannered, great on a leash, and loves attention from humans! Estimated age around 3 years old. We believe she is a Cattle Dog mix. She does have a tendency to try to herd the cats in her foster home or possibly do more than herd them…so a home with no cats or other small critters. She loves other dogs and likes to play! Can you give this beauty the forever home she deserves? Spayed, UTD on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative and on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. Harrisburg, PA 2am Fridays Port Jervis, NY 5am Fridays or Southington, CT 8am Fridays East Hartford, CT 11am Fridays To apply, please fill out the adoption app: https://form.jotform.com/212690945239059 email apps.aasr@gmail.com with any questions. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion. Story
https://www.greenepets.org/adoptionapplicaiton.html Special Handler, Savvy Dog Owner Pistol is pure bred and requires serious training by his new handler, because presently he is making his own decisions about life. He is high drive, and serious, knows sit and when not distracted will come when called. He loves humans and doesn't jump on anyone, so hey, we are half way there... Video's will show why these are not dogs for small children.
