Story
Roxxie and Codie are ready to build the perfect relationship with their forever families.❤️ These beautiful heeler mixes are around 18 months old and around 55lbs. They are the perfect size for snuggles and very respectful with their weight! They had a rough start to life, but their foster mama has been working hard on confidence building and now they are ready to find a wonderful home of their very own!🐾 Codie and Roxxie are timid upon first meeting new people due, but once they warm up all they want are snuggles and loving from their people! They are both athletic and love to zoomie around the yard, and they will tell you how they feel with a bark or a howl. 🤪 These beautiful pups are crate trained and house trained. They sleep great in their crates at night! They are good with other dogs after appropriate introductions and love to go for walks and play with the pups in their foster home.🐶 Their foster mom has a few requests for their forever home! They want a home with a fenced-in yard where they can run and play, a furry sibling or two that have manners and will show them the ropes in their new home, and a family that is there more often than not so they can get comfortable with their new people. They take a little while to warm up, so a patient family is a MUST!🏡 If interested in adopting one of our available pets, please fill out an application at http://www.dixiegirldogrescue.org/adopt-form Our rescue pets are fostered in Southern foster homes (unless otherwise stated) and are posted for adoption once they are completely vetted and ready to travel. Our pets are adoptable in Alabama and anywhere along our transport route to Rhode Island. All animals are completely vetted, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, dewormed, and have a canine heartworm test if over 7 months or feline leukemia/combo test. All animals are microchipped and receive a interstate health certificate prior to transport. Adoption fees help towards this vetting, normal foster expenses, preventatives and sometimes boarding.

Story
DOZER IS IN HIS FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN, AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO PA ONCE ADOPTED!   Dozer is 1 year old and about 50lbs. He thrives on love and attention from his humans. He likes balls of all sizes,  fuzzy toys and friends to play with. This  boy will make a  wonderful addition to a loving, fun family! Dozer is an active boy, that will do best in a home with another dog for him to play with. He does like to chase cats if they run but also plays gently if they give him a chance. He is great with the foster puppies in his home. He teaches the babies how to play, and watches over them. He is a smart and handsome guy. He is leash, kennel, and house trained. Expensive toys aren't necessary for this sweet boy as sticks are biscuits favorite! He'll pick them up, run with them, and fetch them. Dozer  rides very well, and his favorite place to go to is Tractor Supply. He loves meeting people and being the center of attention. Dozer is ready for adoption. He is completely vetted. Vetting includes spaying/neutering, microchip, rabies as well as all puppy vaccinations, and has been on preventatives. His adoption fee of $550 includes the transport to PA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Dozer up north to his new family.   If you have any questions, please email us at:   newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com You can apply to adopt Dozer here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Unfortunately, I have recently gone through a divorce. She had 2 dogs, and was only able to take 1 of the dogs with her to her new residence. I work a lot of hours and my job requires me to travel. I do not have the time required to care for the dog. The dogs name is Roy, he is a very loyal and loving dog. Gets along well with kids and other animals. He is 5 years old and in excellent health. He is a wonderful pet and would be a great addition to someone or someone's family. Is trained and listens very well.

Story
Hiya, I'm Link! A young boy like me is always ready for adventure, however I am looking for a partner that can take me through the serious training that I'll need in order to be adventure ready. As I was a stray, I can be a bit nervous with new people and I will let you know it. I'm not a fan of sharing my items and I'm picky with my dog friends too, although I may be good with the right one. I enjoy chin scratches and resting with my friends, but I don't enjoy cuddles. I'm looking for a home where all household residents are over 15, as I'm really looking for a family that is dedicated to making sure I succeed in my adventures. If you're interested in devoting time to have the best partner around, please stop by the shelter to meet me. ---This animal is available by appointment only. Please reach out to schedule a visit with one of his handlers!---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Hello, I'm Magdalene and boy, do I have a story I could tell...if I could talk.I was caught and brought into the shelter as a stray after running free for TWO months! Two whole months, I was living on my own. Now, I'm a quiet shelter wondering what's next. Since I came in as a stray, the staff doesn't know too much about me. I'm nervous and scared right now so making new friends is slow going, but once I do, I am sweet and even seem to like belly rubs - but you have to earn my trust to see this belly. I'm not sure how I feel about other dogs yet, so a visit would be necessary. As for cats, those are an unknown too. My breed typically isn't a cat friendly breed, but we're all different, I may do OK with a proper introduction. Because so much about me is unknown and I'm still figuring things out, I need an experienced adult only family whose had cattle dogs before and knows what my breed needs. If you think that's you, reach out to my friends here at the shelter to see if we'd be a match!---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm. This dog is available by APPOINTMENT ONLY.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

NAME: Hermione BREED: Cattle Dog Mix BIRTHDAY: Spring 2023 WEIGHT: 30lbs ADOPTION FEE: $300 &#226&#128&#139 This lovely young girl stole our hearts when we saw her in a dog-test video for another dog we were pulling from a southern shelter. Although she is much too young and active for our senior rescue, her sweet and submissive nature made her an easy addition to our pack. She has been a good friend to the dogs (and tolerant cats) here, but Hermione needs much more than we're able to provide. She is super smart and likes to keep busy, so she will need an active family who wants to have fun training a working pup. While she may not be a good candidate for herding sheep or cows, Hermione would likely excel at basic training, agility, and maybe even sniffer dog work. She is treat motivated but also just loves positive attention and affection.  &#226&#128&#139 Hermione has done great with house and crate training, is friendly with new dogs, friendly but maybe a little "much" for cats, loves meeting new people, rides well in the car, is relatively quiet, and is soft and kissy. Sadly she is heartworm positive, and will undergo treatment at the end of March. If she's adopted before then like we're hoping, her family will just have to bring her to our vet in Hanover; treatment costs are covered by the rescue. She is otherwise healthy and fully vetted. Please consider giving this fun-loving lady the family she has been missing so much! April 9, 2024, 6:07 pm

PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet. 4/4/24 Breezy! What a stunner! Breezy is a mixed breed dog who was found along with 2 others, abandoned in a remote area of Arkansas. This website makes us pick a breed when we list dogs, I went with Aussie and Catahoula mix, but please know she is likely very mixed of several breeds and may not have any Aussie or Catahoula at all! We believe Breezy and Timber are sisters, due to their similar coloring and age, but Breezy has a longer coat than Timber. She is a little more shy than Timber, but equally loving and sweet. They do NOT need to be adopted together. We believe she is around 2 years old and she weighs about 45 lbs. Breezy hasn't had the opportunity to be around kids but we can't imagine her not being great with them, with her loving, sweet personality. She is great with other dogs as well as cats! Breezy did have heartworm when she came into rescue, but we have had her treated and she came thru the treatment with flying colors! Being as young as she is, and having no symptoms, we do not expect she will have any long term effects; she has fully recovered. She is house and crate trained. Don't miss out on this gorgeous girl! Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Adopter must be able to pick up or arrange for someone to pick up for them at one of the following times/locations. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. Story
****NO ADOPTION FEE!!!!**** There is absolutely nothing wrong with Nellie Kate, but due to the fact that we need to make room for new fosters, adoptions are slow at the moment and Nellie Kate has been here a little longer than some, WE ARE NOT CHARGING AN ADOPTION FEE ON HER! You will still have to fill out an application and be approved though and if you live in the northern states that we adopt to, you will have to pay the $135 transport fee. NELLIE KATE – LAB/AUSTRALIAN SHEPHERD MIX – Email fogcarescue@gmail.com for more info and/or an application. This GORGEOUS girl will be a WONDERFUL family dog for some lucky family! She is a super sweet, friendly and happy girl. She loves people and she is especially fond of kids and seems to enjoy any personal attention that wish to lavish her with. She is great with other dogs and like most youngsters, she loves to run and play with them. I would say that her energy level is medium and she is playful, but she’s not so active that you can’t love on her. She’s a real love bug…she’ll even climb in your lap if you let her. She does pretty well on a leash and enjoys going on walks/hikes. Nellie Kate is looking for a great new family that will love her and include her in their everyday comings and goings. She is 1 ½ years old (dob 5/13/22) and weighs 48 pounds at the time of this posting 1/16/24. She has been spayed, 4DX heartworm tested, microchipped, fecal tested and is current on all vaccinations, worming and on heartworm and flea prevention. Nellie Kate is being fostered in Tennessee. Once adopted she will be transported to her pickup location by a professional dog transport company. Our rescue ships to the Northeast area every week and her fee includes transportation. Due to state laws, we cannot accept applications from residents of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Maine since we can’t adopt directly to residents of those states.
