Story
Meet Rascal:  Rascal is a 4 year old Cattle Dog/Shepherd mix that weighs around 41 pounds.  Rascal was rescued from a high kill shelter a day before she was to be euthanized.  Rascal loves attention and is very sweet.  Rascal can be dog selective but has no reaction to cats. We recommend older children because Rascal is energetic and sometimes jumps on you. Overall Rascal is a nice girl...just needs some work and stability. Rascal is house and crate trained but needs some work on her leash walking. Rascal will need a fenced in yard where she can run and a family that is very active and experienced. Rascal will make a great dog in the right home. Rascal is up to date on all her shots and spayed. If you were interested in adopting this sweet girl, please go to our website at charliescrusaders.org and fill out our adoption application. Story
Current Location: Elkton, MD Raphael is tall, lanky, and quietly wonderful. He is the kind of dog who walks into a room and brings the energy down in the best way. Calm, curious, and easy going, he has a gentle presence that makes everything feel more peaceful. He is a beautiful cattle dog and hound mix with a heart shaped marking on his side. It fits him perfectly because this boy is all heart. He is house trained and crate trained, and he settles easily into home life. No drama. No chaos. Just a steady, loving companion. Raphael enjoys being near his people. He is affectionate without being pushy and loyal without being clingy. He loves walks, quiet time, and simply being part of whatever you are doing. He is not high energy or demanding. He is the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. While Raphael is wonderful once he knows you, he can be leery at first when meeting new people. Big groups can feel overwhelming to him and bring out his shy side. He needs a patient person who understands that trust takes time and that the best relationships are built slowly. If you want a calm, sweet, easy companion with a unique look and a gentle soul, Raphael is waiting to meet you.

Story
Current Location: Midlothian, VA Hello! My name is Deedee! I arrived to OPH on 1/23 just in time for the big snow/ice storm. Fine with me! I'm snuggled up inside with my new foster mom! She's not my forever mom though so she's helping me find my family! Observations in foster home: Affectionate Crate trained Good with kids Good with dogs Ignores the cats Loves belly rubs Seems house trained (1 accident on 1/24) Personality: Foster mom says based on my first few days in her home, I'm a submissive sweetheart that loves all people that I meet, big and small, male and female. I am a snuggle bug that prefers to be by your side. I'm a good mix of chill in the house and excited to play with you outside. I get along with foster mom's dog. We played in the snow today and then hung out inside. I'm fine being an only dog too because I'm more of a people dog. More cuddles for me! Please check back soon for more updates on my personality, along with new photos and videos. I’m looking for my forever family! Is that with you? If so please click “apply for adoption” or submit an application through the Adopt tab. This cuteness won't be around for long!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey all, I'm Nova a 37#, 14 month old female, Austrailian Cattle Dog from WV. I'm a HAPPY HAPPY gal. My owner went to jail when I was a wee pup, a lady took me in, but her yard was small so If outside I've always had to be on a chain. Ugh!that has been living in a home but only out on a short chain. Since transport up to PA I've been in super pup friendly foster home with other buddies to play with, room to roam and soft bed to land. I am almost house trained with only a few accidents, needing to get into a routine. I love to do Zoomies, wrestle with big and small 4 leggeds, go for rides, walks and play some ball! What more does a pup want from life.. Well, Maybe a NEW FUREVER HOME! Already know how to sit, shake, down, learning wait too. I come from a distance SUPER QUICK especially if there is a treat involved once arriving at your feet. I'm super food motivated but will wait my turn when treats are handed out. Never a growl or teeth showing around food. My only fault is I do like to hurd. Yes, been to Petco, did GREAT with people large and small, other pups, but if a child zoomed past, I tried to stop and control the little one. Oh, well, is in my make up/mind set I guess. So, if you are looking for a little gal, who goes belly up for a rub, gives soft kisses and loves your attention, I'm for you! Inside I did learn house manors: So, get off your duff, complete an application. Let's ring in the New Year together start 2026 with a BANG! Check out my photo shoot and VIDEO!Interested in meeting me?  Complete an on-line application!
