Story
Hiya, I'm Link! A young boy like me is always ready for adventure, however I am looking for a partner that can take me through the serious training that I'll need in order to be adventure ready. As I was a stray, I can be a bit nervous with new people and I will let you know it. I'm not a fan of sharing my items and I'm picky with my dog friends too, although I may be good with the right one. I enjoy chin scratches and resting with my friends, but I don't enjoy cuddles. I'm looking for a home where all household residents are over 15, as I'm really looking for a family that is dedicated to making sure I succeed in my adventures. If you're interested in devoting time to have the best partner around, please stop by the shelter to meet me. ---This animal is available by appointment only. Please reach out to schedule a visit with one of his handlers!---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
Hi there, my name's Hennessy! I came to the shelter as a stray and I am pretty nervous being in this environment. I am looking for a home that ideally has cattle dog / herding breed experience because I can be aloof and weary of new people. I will need patience to fully come out of my shell and be a happier, more social pup. I do ask that any children in the home be 8 and older, as I do tend to spook easily. I am open to possibly living with another dog with proper introduction too. I am not sure how I feel about cats, and heelers do typically have a prey drive, but I may be able to live with one that is confident around dogs, or can easily be kept separate. I am a nervous nelly right now, but with enough treats and TLC I am sure to become a wonderful companion. I hope to meet you soon! ---If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared --bring a photo ID, proof of address, and everyone in the home including resident dogs with vaccination history. We are open daily 12-6pm.---The Pennsylvania SPCA - Lancaster Center848 S. Prince St. Lancaster PA 17603Kennel #16516717-917-6979lancaster@pspca.org

Story
This girl is 26 pounds of energy and love. She had to be captured by the local animal control officer and was prettified. She was lunging and growling and very upset. But something in her eye just pleaded for me to help her. So I picked her up from the shelter and brought her home where George (our cat) helped me show her that humans and other animals are good. George helped her calm down and let her guard down and after about an hour she was giving me lots of kisses. She is hilarious and is definitely a lover. She may need a couple of minutes to feel safe, but once she does, she is glued to you. She is extremely smart, loves to go for rides, walks and hikes or any adventure (we went kayaking) She prefers not to be left alone as she does have some separation anxiety. This little girl is ready for her happily ever after. Please visit funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption process works. Her adoption fee is $325 and if transport is necessary that is an additional $200 We are hoping to find her someone local to TN. She is a special girl who will need a special mom or dad to navigate through her fears. I may end up writing a book about her as she has given me lots of great stories.

Story
Justice is ready!!!! He is 48 pounds of pure delight. He loves all people and all dogs. He loves kids and would love a fun active family. He loves to go for walks, hikes, swims and he loves to ride in the car or the side by side. He does chase the cows and horses so we don't recommend a home with anything he chases. If you have an adult dog and want another adult that will 100% get along, this is your guy. We think he was born about January of 23 so he is a perfect age. He loves to fetch and have belly rubs and is finished with that destructive puppy phase of life yet he has a puppy attitude. He is so very sweet and a fun guy. If you think you are fun and active enough for this guy you will need to visit our website at funnyfarmpets.org to read all about our rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and to submit the application. He is fostered in TN and will travel once his adoption is finalized. His adoption fee is $325 and transport is an additional $200. He is fully vetted, happy and ready to join his forever family. This sweet boy was found on the Supreme Court steps. Apparently he was seeking justice for his past treatment. He is badly scarred and very thin but oh so sweet and friendly. He is on antibiotics now and getting all the grub he needs. He loves other dogs and is very sweet and gentle. He appears young. Maybe about a year old. He is only 36 pounds now but needs to gain at least 10 pounds. He will be a perfect medium size dog who will be a great addition to almost any home.

Story
Hi there! I'm Vixie, a super sweet and playful girl with a heart full of love! Don't you just love my adorable, big ears? I was rescued by Beagle Freedom Project after being found as a stray in a rural area with my siblings. All of my brothers and sisters have been adopted... I'm not sure why I haven't found an adopter yet; I really am the most affectionate girl! And I promise to be an amazing companion for my forever family. I'm one of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet-- I adore people and other dogs, alike! I have lots of puppy energy, so I also love to romp and play. I'll do best in a home with another playful dog and a family that can give me fun outdoor experiences, like going on walks or playing in a yard! I'm the whole package; silly, sweet, loving, and cute! I hope an adopter notices me soon... could you be my forever family? I would prefer a home that has: other dogs, a fenced yard, lots of love! My location: SAINT CHARLES, IL *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. Story
Meet Skylar! A 15 week old female mini Aussie ready for her furever home near Landenburg PA. Everyone says I have the most beautiful eyes, but my foster family thinks I am as beautiful on the inside as I am on the outside. Not only am I pretty but I’m a good listener too, especially when treats are involved. I even listen to my humans when they take me outside and tell me to go potty. They’d prefer that I let them know when I have to go but I forget. I like Playing with my 4-legged foster siblings (the barking and meowing kinds) it's my favorite thing to do. We take naps throughout the day and that is fine as long as I am snuggled up super close to one of my sisters. I am even good in my crate! Do you think I’d be a great addition to your family? I am up to date on all vaccines except rabies, which can be done after I’m 16 weeks, I have a negative fecal and got started on my flea/tick and heartworm prevention! If I sound perfect for your family, please fill out the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application There is an additional $20 microchip fee which include registration and transfer to my new furever family and a REFUNDABLE $50 spay deposit that will be refunded upon proof of procedure. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Jonestown, PA Meet Kilo! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 60 lbs. He is neutered and microchipped, but isn’t up to date on shots or on heartworm prevention. Kilo is shy with strangers (especially men), but warms up after a while. He is good with kids, cats, and farm animals! He can be a little standoffish with men at first, but will warm up after a while. He is nervous around larger dogs. He has never lived with another dog before and will bark at other dogs out of fear, because he was attacked as a puppy. He may also need training on how to share toys/bones with another dog. However, he will eventually play with them once he warms up to them. Kilo is housebroken and crate-trained. He loves to go on runs/walks and play fetch! The owner is surrendering him because they are unable to provide the attention that he needs. If you think you can provide a great home for Kilo, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Kilo.
