Story
Hi, my name is Skye because of my beautiful blue eyes! My sister, Oakley, and I were found as strays and are now looking for our new forever homes. I'm still young, estimated DOB 12/10/2024 and probably have some Cattle Dog and Terrier in my ancestry. I'm learning so much at my foster home with other dogs, visiting kids and even some kitties and I love 'em all. I love to be held and petted, give kisses, and play until I drop. I'm crate, house and doggy door trained and have started my leash training and learning how to ask to go outside when the doggie door is locked. I'm making great progress on learning to ask to go out, but you will need to take me out often until I understand the new house rules. I love being with people and other pets. I don't jump on the bed or furniture unless I'm invited to sit or lay next to someone. I'm gentle, happy and a bit independent in that I don't need to be entertained all the time, I will entertain myself with a chewie or toy (squeaky and pull toys are my fav!). Since I'm still so young, I may find something to else to chew on in the house, so you'll need to be willing to give me lots of gentle guidance and appropriate toys. My foster says I'm excellent in the house and the car and ready to go wherever you go or just lay at your feet while you are using the computer. I'm also quite taken by the TV which my foster says is cute and entertaining. The good news is that with the right gentle training and LOTS of love, I'll be the best addition to your family ever and your best bud.  If you are interested in her, please send an email to SCP! Applications can be found on our website at secondchancepets.org under the "Forms" tab. Please complete and return to SCP for review! All dogs typically show on Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM at the Petco in Clear Lake at 2410 Bay Area Blvd near Space Center. Since all our dogs are in foster homes, an individual dog may not be at our weekly Adoption Event due to conflict with a foster's schedule. If you are interested in meeting a particular dog, please send an email to scpdogworld@gmail.com so that the Dog Coordinator can let you know if the dog will be at the Saturday Adoption Event at Petco. If you just want to meet some great dogs looking for their forever home, please come visit with us on Saturday! The adopter for this dog must reside in the immediate Houston/Galveston area and be at least 25 years old. A home visit may be required prior to this dog going to any home. The adoption fee for a dog is $190 (or $245 for puppies). All dogs are microchipped, on heartworm protection, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and treated for fleas. May 31, 2025, 6:22 pm

Story
I am Currently in Foster Care if you would like to meet me please email FosterApet@leagueCitytx.gov Hello, I'm OuSauka, a sweet-natured friend looking for a forever home. Life in the shelter is okay, but I dream of cozy nights with a loving family. I've learned a lot here, like how to sit when asked, and I'm proud to say I'm potty trained too. I'm not just about tricks and good manners though. I'm a loyal companion, always ready to lend a comforting presence. I love playtime, but I also enjoy quiet moments. I'm looking for someone who appreciates my sweet disposition and is ready for a committed, loving relationship. Why should you adopt me? Because I promise to bring love, laughter, and a sense of companionship into your life. I'm ready to make your house feel more like a home.

Reba is very beautiful but its her personality that sets her apart. She is very service dog like. She is a people pleaser and will be receptive to any training. She knows how to sit. She loves people and is one of the friendliest dogs you will meet. She loves to roll over and get belly rubs. She is fearless, not afraid of anything. She loves to meet other dogs and gives them kisses. She gives lots of kisses to her humans as well. She loves to meet people and loves kids! She would love to be your new best friend!
