Story
Glow is a very sweet and affectionate girl who’s ready to light up her forever home. She’s happiest when she is around another pup, or snuggled close for belly rubs —her goofy naps will keep you smiling every day. She is a little on the shy side but only to strangers. A treat or two will warm her up to you immediately and she will then be your forever shadow. Because she is so shy, we would like a home without kids for her. Glow is house-trained, crate-trained, walks well on leash and she gets along with dogs of all sizes and shapes. She also lives with two kitties in her foster home and has not shown interest in chasing them. Glow would thrive in a home that has another pup to be her companion. Glow's foster mom cannot speak more highly of her. Glow is a funny girl, who loves to play fetch, and knows several commands, including "release" and adapts to all situations. She is also good about sharing her toys with her buddies. Her perfect family will appreciate her gentle nature and give her the love and stability she deserves. In return, Glow will offer endless loyalty, comfort, and joy. 🐾❤️ Glow was rescued from a high kill shelter of Texas where she was a staff favorite. She is now 3 years old, weighs about 45 lb, fully vetted, spayed, heartworm negative and kept on flea and heartworm preventatives. Glow is being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, and even Canada for the right home. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Glow's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Introducing Mac  Mac was found as a stray on the streets of Houston and ended up at Harris County, where he landed on the long-stay list and was at risk of euthanasia simply due to lack of space. During our shelter pull, we noticed Mac and his kennel mate Taz and knew we had to get them out to meet them and temp test them. Mac is an incredibly sweet boy who can be a tiny bit shy at first, but once he realizes he’s safe his tail starts wagging nonstop. He’s still very young, probably around 2 years old or maybe even younger, and appears to be some sort of Heeler mix. So far he hasn’t shown any herding tendencies, just a gentle and loving personality. Mac is now safe with us and looking for a foster or forever home! Please consider opening your heart and home to this handsome boy. Apply at www.scoutshonor.org to foster this handsome boy!July 3, 2026, 10:57 pm

Story
If you would like more information about Luna or are interested in adopting her, please text this number, (832) 651 7686 Luna’s story is truly special. She wandered to my parents’ home as a stray. After several weeks of searching for an owner and no one coming forward, I took her to be scanned for a microchip; none was found. I decided to take her in and give her the care she deserved, including all of her vaccines and preventative care. While caring for Luna, I noticed she didn’t respond to her name, whistles, or loud sounds around her. I mentioned my concerns to the veterinarian, who performed a few tests and confirmed that Luna is deaf. Despite being deaf, Luna is incredibly smart, observant, and adaptable. She has learned routines quickly, waits patiently for her food, and maintains wonderful eye contact to communicate and connect with people. Luna is full of personality and energy. She absolutely loves playing fetch and staying active. While she enjoys her toys, she’s happiest exploring outdoors, digging, and collecting rocks she finds interesting. Luna would thrive in a home with plenty of space to run and play, such as a large yard or ranch setting. She is wonderful with children, gets along well with other dogs, and also does well with cats. Luna can be a little timid when first meeting new dogs, but once she realizes they are friendly, she becomes playful and affectionate. Luna is very calm inside the home. She enjoys relaxing on the couch and watching TV. While I’m unsure if she is formally potty trained, she has never had an accident indoors when kept on a regular potty schedule. Luna eats both kibble and wet food, enjoys treats, and stays well hydrated. She is currently on flea prevention, and I will provide all of her remaining food, vaccination records, leash/harness, flea preventative, and any toys she still has left when she is rehomed. Luna deserves a loving family who will appreciate how unique, loyal, and resilient she is. She has overcome a difficult start in life and has so much love and companionship to give. Story
LOVES TO SNUGGLE AND GET OODLES OF ATTENTION  Estimated DOB 3/25/24, weight 40 lbs. This young girl Calliope is very sweet and playful, and has energy to spare!  Her foster home has several dogs and Calliope wants to play -- er -- wrestle with all of them.  She loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with her stuffed animal toys, and snuggle on the couch for movie time. Calliope was abandoned in the parking lot of a PetSmart but fortunately, her future foster mom worked at the store and scooped her right up! Calliope knows Sit and Wait, and likes to sleep in her crate at night.   Calliope would love a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise as well as have a canine brother or sister to play with.  Is that you?
