Story
Introducing Bam Bam! This handsome little guy and his sister Pebbles were found as strays outside of Houston, Texas. When they were rescued, they were in rough shape missing patches of fur, sore skin, and covered in fleas. Thankfully, their foster mom saw their plea for help on social media and opened her home to them. Weeks later, both puppies are healthy, thriving, and ready to find their forever families. Now, let’s talk about Bam Bam… Bam Bam is a happy, playful boy with the sweetest personality. He loves wrestling with his sister, chasing toys around the house, and following his people from room to room. While he’s always up for playtime, he also enjoys being close to his humans and soaking up attention. He’s crate trained, sleeps comfortably in his bed, and is already doing well with pee pad training this little guy is smart and eager to learn. Like all puppies, Bam Bam will need continued training, socialization, and exercise to help him grow into the best version of himself. As of 12/1, he is estimated to be around 10 weeks old and weighs approximately 15 pounds. While we don’t know who his parents were, we do know they made some seriously adorable pups and his breed mix is part of the rescue puppy mystery! If you think Bam Bam could be your next best friend, apply today: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog Bam Bam is being fostered in Houston, Texas but is available for adoption across the country. The adoption fee includes the cost of transport.

Introducing Moose!! This adorable little dude was found with his mom behind a dumpster. He was only 1-2 weeks old eyes still closed. Thankfully his finders offered to foster and brought them home. As of December 17th Moose is estimated to be 5 weeks old. In a few short weeks he will be old enough to go to his forever home. His mom is a cattle dog mix and a petite 25lbs. We have no idea who dad is, but seems like he must have been bigger because Moose is growing fast! Like all puppies Moose will need training, socialization and physical activity to grow into the very best version of himself. Moose is being fostered in Houston Texas but is available for adoption many places around the country. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/DSTR/Dog

Story
Meet Butterscotch — the Sweetest Shepherd Mix Searching for Her Forever Home!2 years old • Gentle • Quiet • Dog-loving • Perfect mannersButterscotch is a stunning, soft-spirited shepherd mix with the sweetest, most endearing personality. At just two years old, she already has excellent manners — she’s fully potty trained, crate trained, and has a calm, polite presence that makes her incredibly easy to love. She’s also wonderfully quiet — she never barks and is happiest lounging peacefully on her bed, keeping you company without ever being demanding. This girl absolutely lights up around other dogs. She plays beautifully, follows their lead, and gains confidence from having a canine friend nearby. Because of that, Butterscotch would thrive in a home with another friendly dog who can be her buddy and show her the ropes. Her temperament is wonderfully gentle and tender, with a natural timidity that only makes her more lovable. She’s the kind of dog who quietly leans in for affection, watches you with soft eyes, and blossoms with reassurance. Her sweetness makes us believe she’d do wonderfully with kind, respectful children.Butterscotch is truly a homebody — she feels most comfortable in familiar spaces where she can relax, observe, and feel safe. She enjoys quietly exploring her surroundings and checking in often, but she’s happiest when settled at home, curled up on her bed near the people (and dogs) she loves. She’s also curious about cats, and seems to want to be one… She loves catnip toys!If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, low-maintenance companion — especially one who adores other dogs and thrives in a peaceful home — Butterscotch might just be your perfect match. She’s ready to bring warmth, sweetness, and gentle joy to the home lucky enough to call her theirs.Come meet Butterscotch and let her melt your heart. LOVES TO SNUGGLE AND GET OODLES OF ATTENTION  Estimated DOB 3/25/24, weight 40 lbs. This young girl Calliope is very sweet and playful, and has energy to spare!  Her foster home has several dogs and Calliope wants to play -- er -- wrestle with all of them.  She loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with her stuffed animal toys, and snuggle on the couch for movie time. Calliope was abandoned in the parking lot of a PetSmart but fortunately, her future foster mom worked at the store and scooped her right up! Calliope knows Sit and Wait, and likes to sleep in her crate at night.   Calliope would love a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise as well as have a canine brother or sister to play with.  Is that you? HOPE ID D24-1116-0045 Calliope's $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Calliope will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.
