Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Meet Cercei! Jumping into your arms is the sweet and playful Cercei! She was found in a gas station parking lot in urgent need of care. Thankfully, she is now safe, healthy, and in our care. Cercei rocks a cute tan-and-white coat, complete with the cutest pointy ears to match. This little pup loves affection! She’ll spark a game and run around with you. Don't  worry though, Cercei enjoys to roll on her side for belly rubs as well. Cercei is also proving to be very smart, as she already knows “sit” and “down” and is sure to learn more. She has shown to be good with our younger pups as well, showing them the ropes will in play groups together. Human children are NOT her cup of tea, as we've recently learned by way of kid-testing with a staff member's 4yr old, and given the intensity of her dislike, we feel she'd thrive in an adult-only environment. Cercei is ready to find a home where she can relax and play with her favorite person by her side. Are you that special someone? *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Transport is available and can be discussed on an individual basis. Thank you for considering a rescued former street dog for your next family member!

Story
**This dog is with Corridor Rescue in Houston, Texas** Speckles is decidedly one VERY special boy, one we're lucky to have in our care!  Having been spotted chasing cars by an independent feeder(as if he'd been freshly dumped, poor guy!), Exceedingly malnourished and terrified but determined to save himself, brave Speckles was at risk of being hit by a car and the decision was made to bring him in as soon as we possibly could.  Funny and easy-going, but a bit unpolished on a leash, Speckles is very gentle with toys and keeps an immaculate kennel, giving us thought that he once had a true home where-in he'd mastered housetraining.  While his interactions have been limited so far as he's not been with us very long, but he's showing day by day to be quite dog social and even shows proper respect for felines! The perfect size at 50lbs now that he's recovered from starvation, and estimated to be only 3 years old, he's also the perfect age for a long lifetime of fun and adventure! Be it snuggling on the couch or sunbathing in the backyard, there's few things Speckles loves more than human companionship. We have been fortunate enough to be able to kid-test him with a staff member's 4yr old sibling, and while he adored her, Speckles can get a bit rambunctious - kids 8+ would be PERFECT, but much younger and he might overpower them.  If a truly medium energy dog who's not too big and not too small is what you have in mind, give Speckles a chance! *** Please apply to foster or adopt online at www.corridorrescue.org Direct inquiries to: adopt@corridorrescue.org The adoption fee of $225 covers spay/neuter, microchip and current vaccines. Story
Looking for a puppy with all the cuteness and none of the chaos? Let us introduce you to Amika! At just 5 months old and around 20 pounds, this adorable little guy is the complete antithesis of a typical heeler. While many heelers are known for being busy and always on the move, Amika is a calm, easygoing pup who is happiest simply being part of the family. Amika is incredibly affectionate and full of love. He enjoys the company of other dogs and is always happy to have a furry friend nearby. For such a young puppy, he is remarkably mellow and content to relax by your side, making him an easy addition to just about any home. He's doing great with his crate training and has been raised in a wonderfully social environment. Amika lives with children of all ages, cats, other dogs, a rabbit, a bird, and even a bearded dragon! His foster family has exposed him to all kinds of people, pets, and everyday household activities, helping him become the adaptable, well-rounded pup he is today. Best of all, Amika is expected to stay on the smaller side, making him the perfect size for adventures, cuddles, and everything in between. July 15, 2026, 1:58 am

Story
Grace is a loving dog with a big personality. I originally got her hoping she’d be a great companion, and she’s been part of my life for a while now. She has a lot of energy, is very alert, and can be protective at times. I’d describe her as smart, active, loyal, and independent. I’m looking for a new home that has experience with dogs and can give her the time, patience, and attention she deserves. She would do best with someone who understands strong personalities and can provide a stable environment where she can continue to grow and feel safe. My main goal is finding her a caring home that’s the right fit for both her and her new owner.
