Shaun the Heeler puppy's Story Meet Shaun! Shaun is a 4-month-old male Heeler puppy who came into the shelter as a stray and is now ready for a fresh start. While we don’t know much about his past, it’s clear that Shaun is a bright, curious young pup with lots of potential. At just four months old, he’s already showing the intelligence and alert nature Heelers are known for. Shaun will be arriving in Wisconsin on February 6th and is hoping to find a family ready to help him learn what it means to be a loved, indoor companion. Like any Heeler puppy, Shaun will thrive with structure, training, and regular mental and physical activity. In return, he’ll offer loyalty, enthusiasm, and the chance to grow up alongside someone who’s excited to invest in his future. He is working hard on potty training in Texas, however his new family should be prepared to do additional training while he learns the routine at his new home in WI. He is up to date on vaccines, dewormed and microchipped, and he comes with his medical records and interstate health certificate from a veterinary examination prior to leaving Texas, which certifies him to be in good condition. He will be arriving in Muskego, WI on Friday, February 6th, and will be available to meet, and take home if he is a good fit, by the first family to have placed an exclusive hold deposit as set out below. His adoption fee is $500, which will be used to support the many animals in our care whose medical bills far surpass their much lower adoption fee. He is available for an exclusive hold with a deposit of $250, which we give on a first come, first served, basis. The balance of the adoption fee is due upon meeting/finalizing the adoption on Friday February 6th. If upon meeting, he is not a good fit for your family, the deposit is refundable. We ask that you are serious about your intent to adopt before placing a deposit, so as not to prevent him from finding his forever family in the meantime, as we only accept one deposit per dog.
