Meet Lady! Lady is a 2-year-old Kelpie/Bloodhound mix with a huge heart and a wicked-smart brain. She came from Dallas and has been thriving in her foster home ever since. Lady is deeply affectionate and bonds quickly, but she’s a little shy at first — especially around hands — and appreciates someone who lets her set the pace early on. Once she trusts you, she’s loyal, loving, and all-in. As a true working-breed mix, Lady is sharp, eager to learn, and loves having a “job.” If it moves, she’ll try to herd it, so she does best with adults and either as an only dog or with dogs who won’t mind her instincts. She absolutely shines with consistent direction, structure, and clear boundaries. Lady’s superpowers: Wicked smart + quick learner Treat-motivated and thrives with positive reinforcement Nose that never quits — she loves scent work and mental games Bonds deeply once she feels safe Lady is also working through a few things: she can be leash reactive, she has some resource-guarding tendencies, and she’s still learning to trust hands. The good news? She responds incredibly well to training and consistency. Her foster family, along with guidance from a trainer, has already given her a strong foundation — especially with her crate, which she now sees as her safe, cozy spot. Meet Ronda!Ronda is a sweet, playful gal who may be a little shy at first—but give her a few days, and she’ll blossom into your new best friend. She’s an active pup who loves to run around and is learning to play fetch (though sometimes she gets so excited she forgets to bring the toy back!). Ronda is adjusting wonderfully to life outside the shelter. She’s mostly potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out, but if she can’t hold it, she’ll use potty pads. She gets so excited to play outside that she sometimes needs a gentle reminder that it’s also potty time. Walks are still a little intimidating for her, but with patience and encouragement, she’s learning that they can be fun. Ronda is a Kelpie mix, though on the smaller side—she may even have some Chihuahua in her. No matter her mix, she’s a lovable, playful companion who is eager to bond with her forever family. She would do best in a home without young children. Slow introductions to other dogs are best, and while she’s still figuring out cats, she knows to leave them alone when told. She doesn’t ask for attention — she searches for connection. When Naya was rescued, she weighed just 30 pounds, having been confined and starved in a horrific situation. Today, she weighs 53 pounds and is safe, cared for, and learning that the world — and humans — are wonderful. Despite everything she survived, Naya is gentle, affectionate, intelligent, and deeply loyal. She bonds closely with her people and finds comfort simply being near them — curled on the couch, pressed against your side, or waiting patiently for you to return if you step away. She is fully potty trained, holds it all night, and thrives on routine. Naya is low to moderate energy, but loves to play with other friendly dogs. Naya has done well in her foster home with older, respectful children and is friendly with dogs.
