Story
Hi! My name is Reese - like the chocolaty peanut butter cup - and I am just as sweet! I love meeting new people, and giving out hugs. The only thing I love more than people are other dogs. I live with several other dogs my size and am having an absolutely blast! I even spent the day with a cat and did well!I am doing great with housebreaking, crate training and leash walking also in my foster home. I'm a super lucky girl and get to be up in the mountains in Fairplay - but meets half way can be arranged! If you're looking for a happy-go-lucky fun girl to add to your life, put in an app for me! If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application at www.thegooddogrescue.org (If you already have an approved application, please email thegooddogrescueadoptions@gmail.com with your interest in me!) My adoption fee is $350 and I am spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations  ##1829172##

Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##1826290##

Story
Sienna is about a year old and a high energy gal. She loves other dogs and toys and is always up for a good game of tug o war. She would do best with a dog her size or larger and the same energy level. She is housebroken and sleeps the night in her kennel. She can sit, down and shake but needs work on not counter surfing.

Story
Loretta is a survivor! This sweet girl survived Parvo while in the shelter before she was able to be rescued.  Loretta was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas.   We have no additional back story or update for this dog at this time.  When we do, it will be updated here.  This is all the information we have currently. Approved Applicants may make the adoption fee payment by clicking donate above.  Partial adoption fees will not hold a dog. Dogs adopted with our rescue come with FREE training from #GoodPup to help you build strong bonds from the start! If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded. Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance.  We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect).  Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets. The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico.  While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.   More questions?  Read our FAQs here: https://4p4l.org/faqs/  Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.  A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs.  Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive.  From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs. Thus, dog breed is generally a poor predictor of individual behavior and should not be used to inform decisions relating to selection of a pet dog" - https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.abk0639 ##1875478##

Story
5 Things You Should Know About Wednesday #1 -  She's a survivor.  When a horrible disease called parvo threatened her life at a very young age she fought back with that unmistakable rezdawg spirit we so often see in our animals.  #2 - She's well traveled.  Originally from Arizona, she spent some time in New Mexico and finally made it to Colorado to start her new life. #3 - She adores her foster brothers and sisters.  Wednesday can often be found snuggled up to one of the 5 resident dogs in her foster home.  A canine companion is an absolut must in her forever home. #4 - She's a little shy at first.  After all she's been through who can blame her? #5 - She will make someone the perfect companion.  This little girl is blossoming in her foster home and we are so excited for her future. Wednesday is currently fostered in Colorado Springs and will be ready to meet potential adopters starting on 12/4.  If you are interested or have any questions for her foster mom please submit a no obligation adoption application and her foster mom will get in touch with you.  Thank you for considering adopting one of our many deserving animals.  ##1848500##
