Ginger is the sweetest boy ever. He is very eager to please. He’s a complete love bug and always wants belly rubs and hugs. He’s got a cute little smile once you start petting him. We are working on his confidence right now as he was very nervous coming out of the shelter. We’re still working on getting him comfortable with other dogs, he will set his boundaries and can be reactive when another dog is in his space. He would work best alone without any other dogs in the home. He is also quite nervous around men and young boys, probably from previous experiences. He is a complete velcro dog once he’s used to you, and follows me literally everywhere. His recall is very good because of this, and we are working on it everyday! Ginger would be a lovely addition to any family and he is fiercely loyal to the people in his life. ##2834811##

Lois is a sweet and curious little girl. She wants to be involved in everything you’re doing and does not like to be left out. She will cry in her crate and create her own howly song (just imagine it’s Ariel singing “I want to be where my people are!!”) Her foster mom is working on it and honestly the song has gotten shorter (but not quieter yet). She walks circles around you on a walk (literal circles) so she will need a little practice learning to just walk by your side. She’s a small girl and doesn’t pull though, except when she doesn’t like the direction you’re going and will tug, leash in her mouth, to switch it up. Or she’ll stop right in front of you and demand upies (she has little legs okay?!). Potty training is a work in progress, but at time of profile submission it’s not super great. She is taken outside frequently but she gets so distracted outside (she’s curious about everything remember) that as soon as we go inside is when she will go. She LOVES food. She acts like she has never been fed before and never will be again so she is in a big rush for you to just put the bowl down already. We’re working on some manners and her love of food definitely helps keep her motivated. She’s gotten ‘sit’ and her fosters are continuing to build from there. Training and walks are a great way for her to burn some of her puppy energy. She gets along great with resident dogs but they are pretty big and intimidating. She wants so badly to play with them though! Does well with kids, though as she gets more comfortable and outgoing her Aussie may come out more. When she’s ready for a nap she will curl up right next to you and snuggle in. She would do well with an active family with patience and love to give! Potty training is a work in progress, but at time of profile submission it’s not super great. She is taken outside frequently but she gets so distracted outside that as soon as we go inside is when she will go. Meet Chelsea! If you are looking for a lovable, treat-motivated companion who is eager to please, look no further. Chelsea is a resilient girl who is soaking up everything the "good life" has to offer. I am the definition of a "work in progress" in the best way possible! I’ve already mastered "sit" and am currently working hard on "down" and "come." While everything in the neighborhood is still a bit new and sparkly to me, I am becoming braver every day. I’m learning fast! I just had my first zero-accident day, and I’m very proud of myself. I prefer to be near my people. If my crate is in the bedroom, I settle in beautifully for a full 8 hours of sleep. I might give a tiny whimper for a minute at bedtime, but once I have my "night-night treat," I’m a mellow girl until my 6:00 AM potty break. I am VERY treat-motivated. I’m currently (still) learning that kitchen counters aren't for me and that I don’t need to eat my dinner in record time. On walks, I’m a "stop and smell the roses" kind of girl. I can be a little timid when I see other dogs or loud bikes, but my foster mom says I’m very brave—if you show me a treat, I can politely sit and watch them pass by or walk right on through. I haven't met cats or young children yet, but I absolutely adore the young adults in my foster home. My perfect family would be:  Patient & Loving: Someone ready to continue my leash and potty training. Active: I have good energy and love several long walks a day followed by a deep snuggle. A "People" Person: I love being with my humans. While I’m working on my independence, I’d love a home where I’m not alone for long stretches right away. I promise to reward your time and training with a lifetime of snuggles and loyalty. I’m just a sweet girl looking for someone to show me the ropes and provide some clear boundaries!  ##2627770##
