Story
Meet Ronda!Ronda is a sweet, playful gal who may be a little shy at first—but give her a few days, and she’ll blossom into your new best friend. She’s an active pup who loves to run around and is learning to play fetch (though sometimes she gets so excited she forgets to bring the toy back!). Ronda is adjusting wonderfully to life outside the shelter. She’s mostly potty trained and will let you know when she needs to go out, but if she can’t hold it, she’ll use potty pads. She gets so excited to play outside that she sometimes needs a gentle reminder that it’s also potty time. Walks are still a little intimidating for her, but with patience and encouragement, she’s learning that they can be fun. Ronda is a Kelpie mix, though on the smaller side—she may even have some Chihuahua in her. No matter her mix, she’s a lovable, playful companion who is eager to bond with her forever family. She would do best in a home without young children. Slow introductions to other dogs are best, and while she’s still figuring out cats, she knows to leave them alone when told. Ronda can’t wait to meet her perfect match. Come see her at an adoption event—she just might steal your heart! ##2461439##

Story
Ryker is a stunning & loyal companion ready for his forever home 🐾He’s ~45–50 lbs, fully house-trained, crate trained, and incredibly intelligent with a very solid command foundation. Playful, silly, loving, and so eager to please. He gets compliments on his looks and temperament everywhere he goes!Rescued from an overcrowded shelter in Santa Fe last October, Ryker has blossomed into an amazing companion who bonds deeply with his people ☀︎ He is friendly at dog parks and generally non-reactive in public, making him a wonderful dog to bring along on adventures. He rides great in the car — even on long road trips — settles well at home, and enjoys both playtime and relaxing near his people. He loves flirt pole sessions, squeaky toys, hiking, and being outside. His ideal home would include:• A fenced yard• Daily exercise/play• Someone home often or with a consistent routine• A playful dog buddy would be a huge bonus ♡

Story
Meet Little Miss Coco! This adorable five-month-old pup is ready to steal your heart with her cute bat ears and charming underbite. Coco is a perfect mix of cuddly and independent. While she might duck away when you reach for her, once you scoop her up, she’ll melt right into your arms! Coco loves to play rough and tumble with her foster siblings, although she can be a bit of a bully to smaller dogs. When it comes to car rides, she’s a pro—she usually just lays down and drifts off to sleep. She even enjoyed a fun outing at a brewery with live music and lots of people! She’s currently learning to walk on a leash and knows basic commands like "sit" and "no." Potty training is going well, and she willingly goes into her crate without much fuss. If you're looking for a playful companion with a sweet side, Little Miss Coco might just be the perfect fit for you!   Coco is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, wormed and ready to go.  She is fostered in Colorado Springs.  ##2646225##

Story
Meet Hassan Breed: Husky / Kelpie Mix Sex: Male DOB: July 17, 2022 Weight: 66 pounds Health: Healthy and vaccinated Hassan is a striking, intelligent boy with soulful eyes and a strong, resilient heart. He was abandoned and rescued from a very busy roadway, where he was dangerously close to being hit by cars. Thankfully, he was saved in time — and now he’s ready for the safe, loving forever home he deserves. Despite his difficult beginning, Hassan has remained loyal, playful, and full of life. Personality Hassan lives peacefully with other dogs and enjoys being around humans. He loves going out for walks, running, and exploring the world around him. Playtime is one of his favorite things — especially chasing a ball or carrying around plush toys. When he first meets new people, Hassan can be a little reserved or cautious. But once he gets to know you, his personality softens beautifully, and he becomes affectionate and loyal. He just needs a little time to feel secure. Hassan does not like sharing his food, so he would do best in a home where feeding routines are managed thoughtfully and respectfully. Breed Info: Husky / Kelpie Mix This is a smart, athletic mix that typically brings: High intelligence and problem-solving ability Strong loyalty to their people Active energy that thrives with exercise A desire for engagement and purpose Hassan will do best in a home that enjoys walks, outdoor time, and mental stimulation. Owner Responsibilities Hassan will thrive with: Daily exercise (walks, running, play sessions) Continued positive reinforcement training Clear structure and consistency Managed feeding routines due to food guarding Patience while he builds trust with new people He is not difficult — he simply needs leadership, routine, and love. &#226&#154&#160&#239&#184&#143 Things to Consider Before Adopting Before bringing Hassan home, please consider: Do you have time for daily exercise and enrichment? Is your home and lifestyle stable long-term? Are pets allowed where you live? Can you provide structure and manage feeding separately if needed? Adoption is a lifelong commitment, especially for an active breed mix Hassan deserves a home that won’t give up on him. Vet Care Although Hassan is healthy and vaccinated, adopters should schedule a visit with their own veterinarian as soon as possible after adoption to establish care and continue his wellness routine. The 3-3-3 Rule First 3 days: Hassan may be cautious and observant as he adjusts. First 3 weeks: He’ll begin to learn your routine and feel secure. First 3 months: Trust deepens, and his loving, loyal personality truly shines. Patience and consistency will help him flourish. Why Hassan Is Special Hassan survived being abandoned and left in danger — yet he still chooses trust. He is playful, intelligent, and deeply loyal once he bonds. He deserves stability, safety, and someone who will show him that he is finally home for good. If you’re ready for an active, devoted companion who will stand by you with loyalty and heart, Hassan is waiting for you If you are interested in adopting this amazing dog, please follow the link https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions and fill out an application  Thank you for choosing Ozzie and Friends Rescue. Meet Maya – A Spirited Sweetheart Looking for Her Forever Home! Name: Maya Breed: Australian Kelpie–Terrier Mix DOB: December 7, 2024 Weight: 30 pounds Spayed, Vaccinated, and Healthy About Maya: Maya is a beautiful, medium-sized girl with a bright mind and a playful heart. She’s active, friendly, and full of curiosity. Whether it’s chasing a ball, going for a walk, or exploring the backyard, Maya is always up for an adventure. She loves people and enjoys being part of the action—but when playtime is over, she’s happy to curl up near her favorite humans. As a mix, Maya is the perfect blend of smart and spirited. She’ll thrive in a home that can provide both physical activity and mental stimulation. Expect a dog who learns quickly, bonds deeply, and loves to stay busy. Owner Responsibilities: Provide daily exercise (walks, playtime, or training games) Offer basic obedience training and positive reinforcement Feed a healthy diet and maintain regular veterinary care Include Maya in family life—she’s not a dog to leave alone or chained outside Keep her mentally and physically active to prevent boredom Provide love, patience, structure, and a sense of safety Things to Consider Before Adopting Maya: Time & Energy: Maya needs more than a quick potty break. She’ll do best with a person or family who is active and engaged. Finances: Dogs require ongoing expenses (food, vet visits, flea/tick prevention, grooming, toys, etc.). Story
In early December, Yodi was found abandoned in Ramah, NM, at the cabins our spay & neuter clinic team were staying in.He was terrified of people & emaciated. It took an hour to convince him we were okay.Just as she was packing up to leave, our vet was able to squeeze him in for an examination and vaccinations. At this point he was almost frozen with fear, but showing zero aggression. With a NM health certificate in hand, we brought him home to Broomfield, CO to put some meat on his bones & see if we couldn't find this very sweet boy the perfect family. In the last few months he has gained 10 pounds and his personality has done a complete 180. He is super outgoing with people. He does take a minute to be comfortable with new dogs, but then becomes fast friends. He likes to "herd" all of his stuffies into one big pile.He has some crazy kangaroo skills, so will need a 6 ft. or taller solid fence. He'll need a dog buddy in his new home. He's still a pup, learning the ropes at 11"ish" mos. old.
