Welcome Dixie to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 9-month old Smooth Coated Collie/Kelpie is our best guess on breed. She weighs 50 pounds. She is very very loyal to her people and would be great with someone wanting a dog to go with you places or if you work from home and want a loyal partner. She is crate trained, potty trained, good on a leash and good in a car. She was found as a stray and her foster mom has been putting this girl through dog training. She is doing really good in her classes and is learning some more basic commands. She is a higher energy dog and would be great for a runner, jogger or hiker type person. She is lower on the shed scale. She has a lot of personality and would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her best home would be with a fenced yard. She could run and play off some energy. She likes you to be outside with her as she wants to be around her family over exploring the yard all along without you. She would be fine with children as well. We like them to be 8 or older. She is up on her vaccinations, spayed and ready for her forever home. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland(Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. We can put you in touch with her foster mom after you put in and get your application approved. We can also set up a meet and greet if you are local in Texas. I love to play and explore. Sometimes, I can be a little shy, but once I get to know you, I'm as sweet as can be. I'm always ready for a game of fetch or a fun adventure. I came here with my buddy Rockee, and we've been having a blast. But I'm ready for a new chapter. Meet Marti! Marti is a 5 year old, neutered, double merle, male, who came to us almost completely feral. He is a slightly pudgy 40 pounds, crate trained, house broke (but still leaks a little urine when sleeping although we haven't tried medication for that yet as it has been improving). As he is double merle he has some vision issues as well. Marti will need a very special owner that is willing to give him plenty of time to learn to trust. At his foster home Marti gets along with other dogs, is great with cats, and walks off leash in a rural setting. Marti is that lower energy aussie everyone's looking for and would like a quiet home. Marti will need more training in cooperative Care which his foster is working on and is easy to implement. Hi my name is Annie, I was found wandering around out in the country. My current fosters have no knowledge of my previous living conditions. As far as my personality goes, I tend to be very high strung and anxious especially when my foster's teenage children are present. Their presence has complicated my potty training with my anxiety. Although I do sleep in my kennel all night long and only make noise if I have to go to the bathroom. During the day I hang out in my playpen if I get stressed. I will often go to my safe spaces if stressed out. I do live with 2 foster dogs, a 50lbs husky mix and a 20lbs terrier mix and I love to play with both. My fosters have been attempting to work on my training, however I am not motivated. I love going for walks and wrestling with my foster siblings. I am going to need a special home, most likely with our children, but would love some doggy brothers or sisters. My special somebody will need to be very patient with my training because even though I am almost 2, I am still learning to dog.
