Story
Kristi is a Australian Shepherd Mix. Her estimated date of birth is 8/20/2015 and she weighs 40 lbs. She is up to date on all of her shots and she is fixed. Kristi is OK with people that she knows but is not good with new people. She is better suited for a home that has no cats, no kids or other dogs or small animals.  Kristi does like to vocalize and would be best in a house as she needs a lot of space to run around. Kristi is not good alone and does need someone she can trust to be her side most of the time. Kristi requires a very special diet and does not tolerate prepackaged dog food well. She has some minor skin issues that do require weekly medication.  She has a very high energy level and would require exercise on a daily basis for at least 1 hour otherwise she has the tendency to be destructive to items.  Kristi does have some issues on a a leash and has a small problem with marking in homes. We do not have a central location to see our dogs.  Meeting any dog is by appointment ONLY currently. Appointments can be set up to meet any dog in San Diego. Currently we are unable to do any out-of-state adoptions. If you are interested in a particular dog please FILL OUT an Adoption Application at our website @ http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt and we can schedule you for an appointment to meet with a particular dog if it is available. We do require an application if you are interested in adoption.  If you are interested in potentially adopting please fill out an application at http://bajadogrescue.org/ready-to-adopt/adopt. Story
Please come to our adoption event to meet them this weekend - please text us for location and times at 619-576-0747. Saturday 03/04;23: PetSmart: Address: 1660 Garnet Ave, San Diego, CA 92109 Hours: 4 to 6:pm - we may be able to see you earlier - please text us at 619-576-0747. Cielo (sky in spanish) Chula (gorgeous in mexican) is for sure a love bug- she loves other dogs, small, large, young and senior as well as cats - she has been around cats at her foster homes but never in the same couch or area - only across from her sight. She looks stunning beautiful once you see her:) She loves water and she is very outgoing - loves to explore. She is an ideal medium size, has a nice chocolate coat, with white socks and a white glove on her front leg - just so gorgeous:) She has the most beautiful baby blue eyes who looks at you with all her puppy love. She loves to kiss you and loves to go around the other other dogs cleaning their face and giving them kisses - just a doll:) She will be ideal for any family. However, we do prefer her to go to a home where there is another dog - if you do not have 2nd dog, we do have other dogs he gets along with such as famous to be star for Discovery Channel "Grace" She loves to go for walks, she is leash trained; and she is potty trained, which is hard to find on rescued dogs. Also, she is crate trained. Are you ready to give her a forever home? Please text at 619-576-0747 as 1st type of contact or email veronica.aaofus@gmail.com or visit our website at www.aaofus.org and complete our application at the following link: http://aaofus.org/adoption-application.html . If approved, the adoption coordinator will reach out to you to schedule a Meet-and-Greet appointment. Story
Meet Xylene! DOB: January 2019Weight: 35 lbsDisposition: Smart, Outgoing, Friendly, AthleticHistory: Abandoned on the streets of Thailand and rescued by Soi Dog Foundation. Brought to TBL in July 2024 to find his forever family.Best Home: Athletic single or couple looking for a reliable sidekick to join them on all their excursions.Amazing Qualities: Xylene is wonderful with people of all ages, including little kids, and does great in public settings. Xylene is polite and easygoing—he doesn’t guard food or toys and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes, from big buddies to tiny companions. He’s spent time with several different dogs in different homes and fits right in every time.Xylene really enjoys his walks and hikes and walks nicely on leash. He does have a bit of a prey drive and can get excited when he sees or hears animals—but it’s easily managed. At home, he loves a good bone or chew toy and is a big fan of rolling around in blankets. He’s crate trained, rarely barks or whines, and even does well with baths.Overall, Xylene is an incredibly good, easy dog. He can jump a fence, so when he is out in the yard he is on a long leash, which works well for him. He’ll let you know when he wants in or out and is just as happy sunbathing outside as he is curling up indoors. Xylene is a loving, well-mannered boy who would make a fantastic addition to just about any family. If you're interested in meeting this dog, please visit our website to fill out an adoption application: www.thebarkinglot.net/adoptOur dogs are located in San Diego County, CA.
