Story
We took her in from someone giving her away to save her from getting out down, but shes a little too disobedient for our household. Shes not very aware of her surroundings, stepped on out toddler a few times and destroys things lying around. She sometimes goes potty inside and she doesnt listen when shes called or to most commands if any. Shes very cuddly though and with the right people and some time and effort, she'll be an amazing dog for somebody. She just doesnt fit within our household and thats not fair to her.

Story
Loki is a 5 year old Australian Shepard. He has largely been a great dog. But, he has some food aggression issues and has bitten myself and my wife on the arm and leg in two incidents involving food. Otherwise he has been a really loving and great dog. We have a new baby who will be starting crawling soon and to be cautious we are looking to re-home Loki. His food/possession issues probably doesn’t make him a great good in a house with kids. He loves to snuggle and go on walks. He is fine with other dogs when off leash at the park, but might not get along good with other foods in the home due to the food/possession aggression issues. He also barks aggressively when packages are delivered. Just looking to find him a loving home when he can have a good life. Thank you.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Good afternoon everyone, I would like you to meet Sadie, one of our newest arrivals at the Mikey & Me Kennels in Chelsea for Happy Days Dog & Cat Rescue.  [] Sadie is a very sweet girl, she is a mixed breed, approx. 4 years old, and she weighs 45-50 pounds. Sadie has a short coat and beautiful blue eyes; she enjoys meeting and interacting with new people and she’s been fine meeting and playing with some of the other dogs under our care. Sadie had some vaccinations before her arrival and she went to Village Animal Clinic in Dexter recently for a heartworm test, wellness exam, and any vaccinations/boosters she still needed. Sadie was microchipped for her safety and she will be spayed at another appointment sometime in the near future. Upon her arrival from the shelter, we noticed Sadie had some tumors on both of her mammary chains. It’s also evident that she’s had at least one litter of pups, maybe more. At her first Vet visit we scheduled a chest X-ray and biopsies which were both completed about two weeks ago. Thankfully, her chest X-ray (3 views) was clear. After taking the biopsies of both mammary chains, the left side came back as benign. The right side also showed some benign tumor growth but there were a few questionable cells noted. For this reason, we have scheduled surgery for Sadie on September 3rd and her right mammary chain will be removed. After her full recovery, we will schedule another surgery to have her left mammary chain removed. (The cost for Sadie’s care will be about $3,000). We are all hoping for a full recovery and we’re looking toward a bright future for Sadie. These two surgeries are going to be difficult for her and I’m hopeful we can find a quiet (no kids or other dogs) foster home so Sadie can recover without the noise and chaos we sometimes see in the kennels.  [&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143] If you would like to meet Sadie, please submit an Adoption or Foster Application under her name at www.happydaysdogandcatrescue.org. Otherwise, please consider sharing her post with your friends and family to help us find Sadie’s Foster and forever homes.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
