Story
Myles Barkley is a very sweet, but active, young'un. He adores cheek kisses, going to car rides, going for walks or runs, and just generally hanging out with his people. Myles is good with dogs, cats, and kids (but no young ones that will grab and pull on him).. He would make a great agility dog - that boy has talent, it just needs to be directed.

Story
Meet Dakota! Dakota is a vibrant one-year-old aussie/cattle dog mix who's enthusiastic spirit will bring happiness and fun-filled days to your family for years to come. All 56 pounds of her is ready and willing to join you on your next adventure! Dakota is a clever girl who has already mastered the basics like "sit". With continued training and instruction, Dakota will no doubt excel in learning manners and additional commands. She is eager to please and will thrive with daily exercise and enrichment. After her time in the yard, she heads right back into her kennel. Dakota is an explorer at heart, loving nothing more than to follow her nose wherever it may lead. A yard for her to enjoy is a must for intrepid gal. Whether you're heading out for a walk or hitting the road for a trip, she will make a wonderful companion. She's great on a leash and is always up for a snuggle after playtime is done. Based on our evaluation, we feel Dakota would do well in an active home with adults or families with kids ages eight and up. She may have the potential to live with other animals as well and we are happy to do a meet and greet with your family fur baby. If you're looking for a loyal, smart, and loving furry addition to your family, Dakota might just be your perfect match. Susie will chase cats when they run and may try and play rough with them. She is an active dog but calms down in the house..Susie would love a fenced in yard to play in. She will bark at things she sees went outside in the yard. She would not do good in an apartment.Susie would be a great family dog. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Minnie is a one-year-old, 28-pound Australian Shepherd, Miniature Schnauzer, Lab mix. She is delightful and has a wonderful temperament and disposition. You would not know by looking at her that she has had a very rough start in her young life. She is joyful and loving and would be a wonderful addition to any family. She will require a large, securely fenced yard with another calm, confident dog to chase and play with, as well as continue to teach her how to "dog." She has likely never been in a home, or on a leash prior to arriving at her foster home in February, but has progressed nicely since. She’s had several small foster fur siblings, that she plays well with. She loves all dogs! She also loves toys, chew toys, and running in the yard with the other pups. She is submissive with her fur siblings and has shown no aggressive behavior whatsoever. She is lovely all around, very intelligent, and completely house trained, but will need a patient adopter who will give her the time she needs to feel secure and gain confidence; someone who is home more often than not is preferred. She would benefit from obedience classes to continue her learning and socialization, as she is anxious upon meeting new people and in new situations; she will bark loudly when encountering someone new. She will need a securely fenced yard, and cannot be left outside unattended. She is working on her leash training and enjoys long walks and running alongside her foster mom on bike rides. She is young and energetic and will require an active family to keep her both physically and mentally stimulated to avoid unwanted behaviors like inappropriate chewing. Also, she may suffer from some separation anxiety, so she should not be left alone for long periods. She is very vocal, so will not be suited for an apartment. She is a young, active pup, but can also settle and cuddle on the couch once she’s had adequate mental and physical stimulation. She also enjoys co-sleeping with her foster family and takes up only a small area at the foot of the bed. Her fur is wiry, so she will shed. She has tested positive for Lyme disease, and completed a 30-day course of antibiotics. She has not been tested with children, but I suspect she will do well as she is gentle and loving. She is spayed and microchipped. If you think you might be the perfect fit for this special girl, please fill out an application.  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption.
