Story
Domino is about 13 but is healthy and fairly active. He enjoys laying in the driveway to watch traffic and going out to the barn to supervise during chore time. We got Dom about 10 years ago from a family with too many dogs and small kids. Our daughter was about 7 and Dom was fine but he was on edge around kids. He would prefer to have a home without kids at this point. He absolutely will not fetch, but he is a cuddler that is down to adventure. He likes car rides and has excellent recall. It is hard to let him go, but I don't think he will appreciate moving across the country. He is a very good boy. He will come with his crate, bowl, and bed.

Story
I bought Milo from a breeder about 3.5 years ago. He was born on July 3rd. I have had him since he was 10 weeks old. Milo is a very loving dog who loves absolutely anyone who gives him attention and treats. He is a very high Strong breed so he requires a lot of exercise. The only reason i unfortunately have to rehome him is because i am relocating and moving into an apartment which is not fare for a dog like Milo he needs space and room to run. I would want the adopter to have a big yard that’s fenced in because this breed really needs that to get the exercise they need and to burn off all the energy they have. Milo is not leash trained he pulls the entire time. He is potty trained and is on a schedule. He goes in the morning and at night. Sometimes when Milo gets very excited he pees but that’s it he never has accidents in the house. He is a very hyper dog, once his energy is ran out he is actually very calm just needs to run

Story
Meet Annie — a mini Aussie who’s as cute as a button and twice as sweet. She may be a little reserved when meeting new people, but give her a few minutes and she’ll be your shadow, soaking up cuddles and snuggling into the coziest blanket she can find (bonus points if you bring cheese). Annie does well with other animals and has a gentle, loving nature, but she’s still learning the ropes and will need continued training with leash skills, potty routine, and basic cues. With a little patience and a lot of love, Annie is going to make someone an incredibly devoted companion. 💕🐾 - Around 5 years old - Currently just under 20lbs - Good with cats and dogs - Calmer/quiet ones as loud noises startle her - Adoption fee: $300 This dog is currently housed at our shelter. Story
Hi my name is River! I am a good boy and I am looking for an active owner willing to offer training and exercise, but in return I can offer unconditional love and years of happiness. I’m a high energy dog, I love to jump and play. My energy may not be suitable for young children and must meet other dogs to ensure we get along. I do have some big feelings about some things in this world and tend to express this by reacting with barking and may be a bit too much for some families. I will need to continue my training and HSHV offers classes for dogs like me! Visit www.hshv.org for more information.

Story
Age: 1 year Breed: Border Collie mix Sex: Male Weight: 40 lbs Energy Level: Moderate/Still building confidence Jesse is a tenderhearted young Collie mix who recently made the trip from Kentucky to his foster home in southeast Michigan — where the snow was a big new experience! Despite all the changes in his world, Jesse has shown himself to be incredibly gentle, quiet, and people-oriented. He loves pets and is warming up well to his foster family. As he gains confidence, he is starting to show more of his playful puppy energy and behaviors, but he responds well to structure and redirection. Jesse is naturally curious but still finding his confidence. He has begun going on short walks, and he uses a leash well for bathroom breaks while he continues to learn that the world outside is a safe place. With encouragement and routine, he’s already making steady progress. He is crate-trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and has done very well when left alone. This boy is also potty-trained and knows basic cues like “sit” and “no.” Jesse is very food-motivated, which makes training rewarding and fun. Jesse is one of those rare, young dogs who comes with a naturally calm, gentle presence. He’s affectionate, eager to learn, and incredibly resilient for all he's been through. He does have a herding instinct, which he has displayed toward cats and toward young children. He is gentle with the foster family’s four-year-old, but his herding behavior can be overwhelming for small kids. Because of this, he may be best in a home without cats or very young children. With time, consistency, and love, his personality will continue to blossom, and he’ll repay you with loyalty, sweetness, and endless cuddles. Neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Jesse Facts: - Quiet; not a barker (though might give out a few yips when excited about a treat) - No chewing tendencies observed - Good with baths and handling - Nervous in new situations but adapts with support - Good history with other dogs (per previous foster), though he hasn’t met any in his current home yet - Jesse has shown some herding/prey-drive behaviors toward cats, so he would do best in a cat-free home - Has shown playful herding behavior toward young children; may do best in a home without small kids Please visit Jesse and his friends on our web page. https://www.midwestbordercollierescue.org/alldogs
