Story
Daisy is a typical Australian shepard - tons and tons of energy and whip smart. Would be a great working dog. She does have a tendency towards food aggression and might work best in a home where she's the only animal. Daisy needs an experienced owner as she is very reactive towards people, other animals, and vehicles.

Story
Bandit is a year and a half Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler mix. He’s a very loving, sweet, gentle, silly dog. He loves to play, especially ball. He loves kids and other dogs. I have 2 little boys, and 2 other dogs and they all love him. He’s very protective. He loves to cuddle and be loved on. I unfortunately can’t have 3 dogs. I’m expecting my first baby and it’s just too much on me. I would keep him if I could because he really is such a sweetie. I got him from a farm breeder when he was about 4 months old and I’ve never had any problems with him. He stays right in the yard with me when I’m doing yard work. He plays amazing with my kids. He’s really an amazing dog. He would do very well wherever he goes. If you have any other questions please don’t hesistate to ask! I have all records at canton animal hospital, Canton MI.He’s up to date on all shots. Has no medial problems. He’s exactly 50 pounds. Not fixed!!!Reach out if you think he would be a good fit in your home!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Susie is a beautiful Aussie mix. She is a 2 years old and is 70lbs. Susie is fearful when meeting new people and takes time to be comfortable. It may take multiple meet and greets for Susie. She would do best in a quiet house with a consistent routine. She does jump up on people when she is happy to see them. She loves to play with toys and other dogs her size with proper introduction. She does love to chew Nyla bones and antlers. She will bark when someone comes to the door and she sees things in the yard. She is housebroken and knows some basic commands. Susie is not good with cats. She is an active dog but calms down in the house. Susie would love a fenced in yard to play in. She will bark at things she sees when outside in the yard. She would not be good in an apartment. If you are interested in Susie fill out an application. HDDCR requires a spay/neuter contract by the adopter if puppies and kittens in our care are too young for sterilization. This is a form the adopter signs at the time of adoption, confirming that they will get the pet spayed/neutered by a certain date. We will hold a $50 deposit on top of the adoption fee until we receive proof from a veterinarian that the dog was spayed/neutered. The $50 deposit will then be returned to the adopter.&#226&#128&#139 Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a    $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee    to change information.   Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
He becomes hyper active, and we have a Down syndrome kid that is not able to share anything with him, and that makes the dog more active with him. The dog is still puppy on his brain, do not byte, but you need to watch to not be scratched with his nails. Loves to jump on all people. Never get tired.

Story
Adams has tons of energy and really needs a farm or plenty of space where he can run and even help out with chores. He’s very strong, has a lot of hair with a thick, beautiful coat, loves to stay active, and thrives when he has a “job” to do. While he gets a little anxious around other dogs, he’s wonderful with people and great with cats. My girls are teenagers now, so they aren’t home much anymore, and I’m busy with my job. I can’t spend the time with him that I want, and he deserves more playtime and attention than I can give him right now. This has been a very hard decision, but I know he’ll thrive in a home where he can get the love and activity he craves. If you’re looking for a faithful, family-friendly dog who still has plenty of energy and endless affection — and you have the space for him to live his best Aussie/Collie life — Adams may be the perfect match for you
