Story
Cotton’s time has been beautifully spent. He’s learned to safely navigate a world that he can’t fully see or hear. He’s earned the nickname ‘Fake blind dog’ for his incredible ability to overcome the challenges and obstacles that he was born with, lived through and now has conquered. He moves with the absolute swiftness of a skilled herding dog. He is every bit as confident and agile as his canine counterparts.Beyond his improved physical abilities, Cotton has continued to make strides in his dog to dog relationships. It’s difficult in the canine world for Aussies that can see and hear. Their intense nature, quick movements, desire to herd, and demand for order can often be misunderstood by other dogs. When the ability to quickly read another dog is diminished by lack of vision or hearing or both- it can easily result in reactivity. Cotton has used his time here to learn to read cues his way. He’s learned to trust and play. He’s mastered fun and that should always be a priority. He’s also learning who to avoid, how to exit gracefully and that the humans do have his back. Cotton has embraced the life he’s living. He has worked so hard to be good and do good. He has more than earned his place in this pack, this home, this organization, this community and this world. He still needs a home of his own. This place he lives is wonderful but it’s not his wonderful. It’s a resting spot. A wayside stop. A layover. Cotton needs people that wake up every day happy and excited that he is there. A home that grabs him an extra treat when they are out. A grandma that extra spoils him. A kid that cannot wait to get off that bus to play with him. A bed that is just his. A family.Cotton has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his vaccinations. He has tested negative for heartworm disease. His adoption fee is $350.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to meet this beautiful boy.

Story
Spice & spunk that is what Miss Nessie is made of! This fun and active girl is about 1.5 years old. She is a girl that loves and needs to work. Her work can look many different ways! Agility, obedience, herding, running companion, hiking buddy, fly ball ruler- her options and your opportunities are endless!Nessie is great in the house and a champion at crate time. She is incredibly smart and devoted to her people and any activity they take her along to! The opposite side of a fantastically active, fun dog - is that they rarely have an off switch and you are rarely afforded an off day! But they are worth it! Worth cold, wet walks. Worth late night summer runs. Worth the extra time and effort.Nessie has done a fantastic job while in rescue of figuring out how to socialize and tolerate other dogs. She’s learned how to appropriately initiate play! That getting told ‘no’ by other dogs is part of life. And that too much attitude and friends don’t want to be around you. She still has work to do in her dog to dog relationships but she has made HUGE strides. She gets that the people are here to help and maintain order- we don’t need her assistance ?? It a beautiful place when they recognize this piece! She looks to her people if she has a concern- no longer wants to handle it on her own.Nessie needs a home that knows and understands herding/working dogs. She is so much more than an adorable girl with a beautiful coat. She is smart, willing and driven. She deserves a home that recognizes her awesomeness and encourages her.Nessie is spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccinations. She has also tested negative for heartworm disease. Her adoption fee is $450.00 plus sales tax. Please submit an adoption application if you would like to meet this awesome girl!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Kimber: The Spirited Sky-Eyed Adventurer! Kimber's a beautiful girl is ready to leap into a new chapter filled with fun and affection. With her striking blue eyes that sparkle like the heavens, Kimber is a head-turner who's as vibrant on the inside as she is on the outside! Outgoing and full of zest, Kimber is a natural athlete who lives for playtime—jumping high for frisbees, chasing toys with boundless energy, and turning any yard into her personal playground. She'll greet you with excited barks of joy, but don't worry; she's not a constant chatterbox, saving her voice for those thrilling hellos. While Kimber's manners are more "eager enthusiast" than "polished pro", her warm, approachable personality makes every interaction a delight. She was puppy pad trained in her previous home but is now getting the hang of going potty outside. She has only had a couple of accidents while learning the ropes in a new house and will now let her foster family know when she needs to go outside. She's fantastic with people of all ages, gets along well with other dogs, and thrives in active homes where she can burn off that shepherd spirit. But she also needs a home where her brain can get a workout. Kimber loves learning new things. Right now, she’s working on basic tricks. But she would thrive with training classes where she can learn even more. Vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped, Kimber is all set for her forever family. If you're looking for a loyal, playful partner with eyes that could melt the coldest heart, contact us today—Kimber's ready to jump into your world!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Swifty Australian Shepherd Mix DOB 1.7.26 Kennel Trained Good with dogs Current with vaccinations Microchipped Adoption fee $500 Meet our special little Australian Shepherd superstar  This beautiful Australian Shepherd puppy may have reduced vision and hearing, but you’d never know it from the way she confidently bounces through life. She has already mapped out her surroundings, gets around wonderfully, and quickly learns where her people (and her toys!) are. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, and playful. She loves gentle pets, belly rubs, and following her favorite humans from room to room. Once she trusts you, she’ll happily lean in for cuddles and shower you with puppy kisses. Her playful side shines when she’s exploring the yard, chasing toys, or romping around with her dog friends. Because of her possible vision and hearing limitations, she thrives with consistency and a safe, secure environment. She responds beautifully to touch cues, routine, and positive reinforcement. Australian Shepherds are known for their intelligence and devotion, and she is no exception — she’s bright, eager to connect, and forms strong bonds with her people. She would do best in a loving home committed to helping her continue to build confidence. A securely fenced yard and a family who understands that a little patience goes a long way will set her up for success. In return, you’ll gain a loyal, joyful companion who sees the world with her heart. If you’re ready to welcome a resilient, playful, and deeply loving puppy into your life, this special girl is ready to meet you.  Apply at emotionalrescuedogs.org ##2673840##

Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 💛 Meet Luna - Your Future Soulmate 💛 Luna is a stunning 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, weighing in at a perfect 30 pounds of love, loyalty, and just the right amount of playful sparkle. She forms deep bonds with her people and is happiest right by your side, soaking up affection and giving it right back (times ten). Personal space? She’s heard of it… but doesn’t see the point. Luna has a fun, playful side too! Her absolute favorite thing? A good pig chew she can proudly parade around like a prized possession. Pair that with ear scratches and belly rubs, and you’ve basically unlocked her happiest self. She’s also an excellent companion for an active home. Whether it’s a jog, a walk, or just getting out and exploring the world together, Luna is always ready to go. Think of her as your built-in accountability partner… but much cuter and with better hair. 💛 Loves: her people, pig chews, belly rubs, and tagging along on adventures 💛 Energy level: active but balanced—she’s ready to go, then happy to relax with you after 💛 Social life: does great with other dogs and has been wonderful with kids Luna can be a little cautious and protective when meeting new people, but with proper introductions and a bit of patience, she warms up and shows her incredibly sweet nature. Because of this, she’ll thrive with a family who understands her need to build trust at her own pace. Cats are still an unknown for Luna, so slow, thoughtful introductions would be best if there are feline friends in the home. Luna’s dream home is one where she’s included in daily life—not just a pet, but a true companion. She wants to be part of your world, your routines, your adventures… your everything. Apply today at haydudeequine.org If you’re looking for a loyal, loving, and active best friend who will stick by your side through it all 💕
