Cotton’s time has been beautifully spent. He’s learned to safely navigate a world that he can’t fully see or hear. He’s earned the nickname ‘Fake blind dog’ for his incredible ability to overcome the challenges and obstacles that he was born with, lived through and now has conquered. He moves with the absolute swiftness of a skilled herding dog. He is every bit as confident and agile as his canine counterparts.Beyond his improved physical abilities, Cotton has continued to make strides in his dog to dog relationships. It’s difficult in the canine world for Aussies that can see and hear. Their intense nature, quick movements, desire to herd, and demand for order can often be misunderstood by other dogs. When the ability to quickly read another dog is diminished by lack of vision or hearing or both- it can easily result in reactivity. Cotton has used his time here to learn to read cues his way. He’s learned to trust and play. He’s mastered fun and that should always be a priority. He’s also learning who to avoid, how to exit gracefully and that the humans do have his back. Cotton has embraced the life he’s living. He has worked so hard to be good and do good. He has more than earned his place in this pack, this home, this organization, this community and this world.He still needs a home of his own. Monty is a great name for a great dog like me ;) I have the Monty Python kind of humor... goofy and sweet! But, don't mess with my crate! That really is my only "pet: peeve!! I was found on the streets 2 years ago and was adopted as a pup... however, I became the boss in the house and didn't like anyone entering the house that I didn't know :( SO..... Back to the rescue, because they won't give up on me!! So here I am and I have really adjusted to the environment and new people meeting me and treats and lots of love. AND the crew here basically has determined that I need a family/adopters that will be in charge of the house. Someone I can trust to protect me so I don't have to!! I am vocal in my crate, so my crate needs to be away from the common areas so I can relax and not meet everyone that stops by. Once I settle into my new home I will follow your lead! I am a gorgeous boy, with caramel and milk chocolate highlights in my soft fur. I want to please my family and go on all kinds of adventures! She takes her role as household “supervisor” very seriously—always watching, learning, and keeping an eye on both her people and her dog friends.   Dove came from a small backyard breeder, and because of her past, the world can still feel overwhelming and unfamiliar. She is a more sensitive, fearful dog who will need a very patient and understanding home—but despite her challenges, Dove is genuinely a  happy  girl. Her little tail is almost always wagging, and she clearly finds joy in being part of a home and a routine. While she may not show affection in traditional ways, Dove bonds deeply in her own quiet way. She likes to stay within eyesight of her person, wags when spoken to, and settles nearby just to be close. Her love is subtle, gentle, and incredibly special.   Dove absolutely adores small dogs and will require another small, confident dog in her home. She looks to them for comfort and companionship and truly lights up around them, often adjusting her energy to match theirs in a very sweet, intuitive way.   Because of her sensitive nature, Dove can feel overwhelmed in loud or busy environments and will thrive in a calm, structured home that understands and respects her boundaries.   She is still learning that she is safe, and her adopter will need to meet her where she is without rushing the process. Human touch is still very scary for her, and she is not currently able to be handled, though she has made small, meaningful progress. Because of this, she is a high flight risk and will need extremely secure handling and containment. A secure, fenced yard is strongly preferred, as leash work is currently very challenging for her.   Dove also cannot do stairs or jumping, so a single-level home where she can move around comfortably or a home where stairs are not required to go in and out would be beneficial. Due to her handling sensitivities and current setup, she is not yet potty trained and will need continued patience and support in this area. She also shows signs of kennel trauma and cannot be crated or confined, but she does very well when left loose in the home and typically settles quickly to rest.   Despite everything, Dove is incredibly smart, curious, and playful. Her little brain is always working, and she loves toys, puzzles, and especially “collecting” treasures around the house—anything from socks to towels to boxes. Her adopter should be prepared for a bit of dog-proofing to keep her safe and set up for success.   Medically, Dove has a fat sensitivity and will need to remain on a prescription low-fat diet long-term, along with using a slow feeder bowl.   Dove will be a great companion for someone who understands and is willing to give her the time and space she needs, she is truly something special. This sweet, goofy boy is full of playful energy, loves to make people smile, and is always ready for his next adventure. At the end of the day, though, he’s just as happy soaking up affection and snuggling with his favorite humans. One thing that’s impossible to miss about Bunny is how incredibly intelligent he is. He’s eager to please, loves learning new things, and has already started mastering basic commands in his foster home. With a little patience, consistency, and one-on-one time, he’s going to make an amazing companion. In fact, his athleticism, enthusiasm, and quick mind would make him an excellent candidate for agility or other fun training activities. Like any young puppy, Bunny is still learning the ropes. He’s making great progress with potty training and is getting very close to being fully reliable, but he does best when kept on a consistent schedule since he isn’t always able to tell you when he needs to go outside. He had a small setback after being neutered but continues to improve every day. Bunny is crate trained and settles quietly overnight, although he can sometimes become vocal if he feels like he’s missing out on the fun. He’s comfortable being crated for the workday, but he’s still learning to consistently keep his crate dry overnight and may occasionally have an accident while he continues to mature. Curious is Bunny’s middle name! He loves exploring the world, playing with toys, and investigating everything around him. Stuffed toys are his absolute favorite. Because of his adventurous nature, he is considered a flight risk and requires a fully secure, supervised fenced yard with no gaps or places he could squeeze through. He has managed to slip under a fence once, so close supervision outdoors is essential. He is also working on his leash skills and will benefit from continued positive training. Bunny lives with three other dogs of various ages and sizes and gets along wonderfully with all of them. While he generally enjoys meeting other dogs, he can occasionally be a little reactive on leash or in new situations. He is not aggressive, and with continued socialization and training, his confidence continues to grow. Because of this, he’d do best with an adopter who has the time and commitment to continue helping him develop into the incredible dog he’s destined to become. He is very curious about the resident cat and sometimes gets a little too excited, so any interactions with cats should be supervised while he continues learning appropriate manners. Although Bunny enjoys having canine friends, he does not require another dog in his forever home as long as his people are home most of the time and can provide him with plenty of companionship, exercise, and enrichment. Bad Bunny is affectionate, playful, incredibly smart, and full of love to give. He can be sensitive to loud noises and overwhelming commotion, but in a patient home that continues his training and builds his confidence, he’s going to absolutely thrive. I am a very handsome young adult male Mini Aussiedoodle who doesn’t like a lot of commotion, but I love to cuddle, and I prefer women. Truth is, I am highly sensitive and reactive to ‘stranger danger’! That’s right, I react to people approaching the front door, coming into the house, and even people approaching my kennel. I know…it’s not something I’m proud of but I’m working on it…really, I am!! In fact, foster mom is trying to help me associate new people (strangers) with positive outcomes and I am confident that I will be successful in time but for now it is still a work in progress. In the meantime, mom sometimes puts a muzzle on me and although it doesn’t bother me at all I prefer, of course, not to wear it so my new family will need to commit to working with me on training. Muzzle training may make me look scary, but it allows me to safely meet and work on my training so I can be happy!  After all, consistency, patience, loving encouragement, and LOTS of mental and physical stimulation are the keys to my success!!! I am good with older kids, cats, and other dogs; and my favorite activities include going on my daily leashed walks or car rides; hiking; exploring; eating treats like plain Greek yogurt or pumpkin; playing with small squeaky toys and other dogs; chewing on Benebones; and running zoomies in the yard so the yard at my new home will need to be fenced! Hee, hee!! I also hope to have a small, confident doggie companion who might help me overcome some of my anxiety about strangers!!! By the way, I almost forgot to mention that I am a prodigy…no, really! I know everything from how to do my business outside to a deluge of commands like “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel/crate”, “wait”, “leave it”, “outside”, and “go potty”!! Thankfully, I enjoy learning, especially when I have a strong, confident, respectful leader, and I really love pleasing my people!! Anyway, foster mom says that I am the “most affectionate” dog she’s ever met and as hard as I try, I simply cannot disagree with her! Hee, hee!! All I need in my life now is YOU…a patient, unconditionally loving forever family who will not only NEVER give up on me but will commit to helping me overcome my fears!! Hi! My name is Dowty Jones and I'm from Oklahoma! Dowty is a sweet, affectionate puppy who loves cuddles. He’s playful, curious, and confident!
