Story
Meet Chip! This handsome boy is being fostered in East TN Athens. Out of state welcome. The adoption fee listed on adopt a pet includes transport to your area. We use Rescue Riders for all our transport needs because they are the best. Chip is such a sweet handsome boy. He is very affectionate and playful. He is a young boy almost a year old and curious as they come. He had the head tilt move to expert level. He wags his super short tail all the time. He’s a happy go lucky kind of boy. He was going to be euthanized due to time and space at our local shelter so we pulled him out to save him. He was adopted and then returned we were told he had some food guarding tendencies. Well we don’t see this at all in fact we accidentally forgotten on a few occasions about that and petted him while eating or moved his bowl while he was eating and he could have cared less. We are not sure if this was directed towards other dogs or not but we do not feed them together here. He has also not been possessive of any toys at all. He plays well with other dogs large and small. He is crate trained and is doing excellent at house training. He is still just a young pup so he would need to be treated like a puppy. Don’t leave things out for him to get into. Take him out to potty in his new home and praise him for going on the new yard etc. he’s a great dog and will make a lucky family very happy. We think he would do best with older kids because he does play pretty hard and would knock the smaller ones around. Apply at petpath.org.

Story
Hello there, I`m Olive. I might seem a little reserved at first, but give me some time and I`ll show you my playful side. I love a good puzzle toy; they keep my smart mind busy. I`m also quite the fan of hide and seek, but don`t worry, I`ll always let you find me. I may be a bit shy, but once I get to know you, we`ll be the best of friends. I`m not just looking for a home, I`m looking for a forever friend. If you`re patient and kind, I promise to reward you with loyalty and love. Adopting me would mean a friend for life, a companion who`s always there to share in your joys and comfort you in times of need. I hope we can make each other`s lives brighter.

Story
Hi!  My name is Bobby and me and my brother Billy are both looking for our own forever homes.  While we do okay together, we would each really like to get most all of the attention so we are not looking to be adopted together and would prefer having our own family.  We are surrenders from a backyard breeder of miniature aussies and were the only two left after our siblings got adopted and our owners said they didn't want us anymore.  Lucky for us, before we ended up in that scary place called an animal shelter BCAA said they would help us!  We are around 7mos old now and I'm a little bigger than my brother at 18lbs while my brother Billy is around 17lbs; we are not expected to get too much bigger.  We were really confused and scared when we first came to our foster home, but everyone has been really nice to us giving us lots of good food, treats and attention and we are coming out of our shells, me a little faster than Billy.  We have gotten along with all of the other dogs we have met and haven't even bothered those things called cats.  Once we learned the schedule here we have done good in our crates without any accidents; however, if we see or hear you while in our crates we will let you know not to forget about us as we both prefer to be out and about with you.  We never had a leash on prior to coming into foster and are still trying to figure them out so we will need a fenced yard to take care of our business.  Our foster mom says if you are interested in one of us, please research our breed first as we do have a tendency to have lots of energy.  If you are then still interested in either me or Billy, please fill out an application which can be found at www.bcaaofnj.org.Interested in adopting this pet?Click here for BCAA's on-line Application! PLEASE NOTE: Our adoption fee helps to cover our expenses and includes all shots, *age appropriate*, distemper and rabies, fecal check, spay/neuter, heartworm test, grooming, and in many cases dental and also the fee we pay when we rescue from a shelter. Story
MERCURY Breed: Australian Shepherd Gender: Male Approximate DOB: 3/11/2019 Size: Medium Weight (Potential): 40 (40) Color: White and blue merle Health: IBS, General anxiety and separation anxiety, crystals in bladder, on prescription food for GI issues and daily medications to manage anxiety. Shedding: Moderate Grooming Needs: Moderate Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Children: No Appropriate for city living: No A secure, physical fence is required. Adopters must live within 30 miles of King of Prussia, PA. Mercury is as sweet as he is handsome and at a young age he had to overcome quite a bit. He was born in a Pennsylvania puppy mill and rescued at 17 weeks of age. He was frightened and had no idea how to live in a home. Over time with a lot of veterinary care, we have found a diet that agrees with his GI system and have worked with our trainer and veterinary behaviorist to manage and treat his severe anxiety. He is a work in progress but has improved with the help of medication. H will likely need medication and prescription food for the rest of his life and will need someone to monitor the crystals in his bladder so he does not develop a blockage which can usually only be fixed with surgery if things get too severe. Mercury loves to play with toys and monitor the yard for "intruders" like birds and squirrels. He needs a very secure, solid 6-foot fence to contain him (he is a climber, jumper and digger) as he needs a yard to burn off his energy but gets a bit overwhelmed on leash walks (this is a work in progress, too). He will flash a huge smile when he greets you and will pretend that he is a tiny lap dog as soon as you sit down. He likes to watch TV but also is really good at catching a ball. Mercury needs a very loving and patient adopter who has an adult-only home and is willing to manage his medical and behavioral issues all while helping him build his confidence. He isn't a dog for the faint of heart, but he will make yours skip a beat as soon as he gives you a hug. *All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking. Story
Meet Brownie — a beautiful 5-year-old merle Australian Shepherd with a gentle soul and a heart ready to heal. Brownie came from a home where her needs were sadly overlooked. When she arrived, she was severely matted and heartbreakingly shy. But with patience, care, and love, Brownie has begun to bloom. Over the past several weeks, she’s been fully evaluated, vetted, and professionally groomed. Now, this sweet girl is showing her true colors: she’s playful, affectionate, and incredibly gentle. Though shy at first, once she warms up, Brownie’s loving nature shines through. She’s quiet, crate trained, and thrives in calm, patient environments. Brownie is now ready for a second chance — a forever home where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. Call Ambler Dog Rescue to discuss 27-471-3000.
