✨Meet Jenny!✨ Jenny is a 4-year-old Australian Shepherd mix who came into us as a surrender from a commercial breeding facility (aka Puppy Mill) in Lancaster County. Jenny had a very difficult life before coming to us, being used as a mill mama her entire life. She is shut down at this time but is slowly starting to give us her trust. We are confident she will make a wonderful family member for a very lucky family, who understands her past and gives her the time she needs to trust them and her new surroundings. Jenny loves other animals, and will thrive in a home with at least one other dog. Adopting a puppy mill survivor is life-changing—for you and them. For these dogs, everything is new and often overwhelming: people, houses, stairs, leashes, food bowls, collars, toys, TVs, ovens, doorways, pavement…the list goes on. They need adopters who can move slowly, be patient, keep expectations reasonable, and provide the understanding and tools they need to grow into happy, confident companions. Patience, positive reinforcement, and understanding are key! Ashur has social and separation anxiety and allergies. He needs and deserves attention that I am not able to provide him. He has a lot of energy and loves to play. He needs a human that has a lot of patience and will love him unconditionally. He will surely return the favor. He loves to cuddle. While Ashur may not do well with strangers, once he is familiar with you (doesn't take long) he is a very loving, attached, cuddly 6 year old dog. 🥰 I cannot give him what he needs. He is bored and lonely majority of the day being home alone for a minimum of 12 hours daily. I also learned the hard way that I am allergic to dogs. I will have to put him to sleep soon if I am unable to find Ashur a new home. Please help. He needs a new home as soon as possible.
