Huxley can be a little stand offish when meeting new people. Like most dog until he gets to know you and be comfortable. He likes females more the males. He is almost 5 and blind in one eye from a cat scratch as a puppy. He will chew things if left unattended so I work a lot and I have to keep him in a cage when I’m not home.

Story
Meet Chip! This handsome boy is being fostered in East TN Athens. Out of state welcome. The adoption fee listed on adopt a pet includes transport to your area. We use Rescue Riders for all our transport needs because they are the best. Chip is such a sweet handsome boy. He is very affectionate and playful. He is a young boy almost a year old and curious as they come. He had the head tilt move to expert level. He wags his super short tail all the time. He’s a happy go lucky kind of boy. He was going to be euthanized due to time and space at our local shelter so we pulled him out to save him. He was adopted and then returned we were told he had some food guarding tendencies. Well we don’t see this at all in fact we accidentally forgotten on a few occasions about that and petted him while eating or moved his bowl while he was eating and he could have cared less. We are not sure if this was directed towards other dogs or not but we do not feed them together here. He has also not been possessive of any toys at all. He plays well with other dogs large and small. He is crate trained and is doing excellent at house training. He is still just a young pup so he would need to be treated like a puppy. Don’t leave things out for him to get into. Take him out to potty in his new home and praise him for going on the new yard etc. he’s a great dog and will make a lucky family very happy. We think he would do best with older kids because he does play pretty hard and would knock the smaller ones around. Apply at petpath.org.

Story
MERCURY Breed: Australian Shepherd Gender: Male Approximate DOB: 3/11/2019 Size: Medium Weight (Potential): 40 (40) Color: White and blue merle Health: IBS, General anxiety and separation anxiety, crystals in bladder, on prescription food for GI issues and daily medications to manage anxiety. Shedding: Moderate Grooming Needs: Moderate Spayed/Neutered: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown Good with Children: No Appropriate for city living: No A secure, physical fence is required. Adopters must live within 30 miles of King of Prussia, PA. Mercury is as sweet as he is handsome and at a young age he had to overcome quite a bit. He was born in a Pennsylvania puppy mill and rescued at 17 weeks of age. He was frightened and had no idea how to live in a home. Over time with a lot of veterinary care, we have found a diet that agrees with his GI system and have worked with our trainer and veterinary behaviorist to manage and treat his severe anxiety. He is a work in progress but has improved with the help of medication. H will likely need medication and prescription food for the rest of his life and will need someone to monitor the crystals in his bladder so he does not develop a blockage which can usually only be fixed with surgery if things get too severe. Mercury loves to play with toys and monitor the yard for "intruders" like birds and squirrels. He needs a very secure, solid 6-foot fence to contain him (he is a climber, jumper and digger) as he needs a yard to burn off his energy but gets a bit overwhelmed on leash walks (this is a work in progress, too). He will flash a huge smile when he greets you and will pretend that he is a tiny lap dog as soon as you sit down. He likes to watch TV but also is really good at catching a ball. Mercury needs a very loving and patient adopter who has an adult-only home and is willing to manage his medical and behavioral issues all while helping him build his confidence. He isn't a dog for the faint of heart, but he will make yours skip a beat as soon as he gives you a hug. *All dogs will go through a transition period after finding a new home and may need a “refresher course” in house-breaking. Story
I am helping my parents, Jane and Dave, rehome their australian shepherd. The dog has had a history of being aggressive toward strangers and often is aggressive with other animals. She is usually protective over children, but we are worried the children will be in the way if an aggressive event takes place. She would be ideal for someone who has land where the dog can have freedom to run. She is very good in the car, she loves long walks, and she can be very sweet and gentle at times. Sadly, we must put the safety of our children first and loved ones. We are very sad to want to rehouse her because they have tried for many years to help Daisy acclimate but we feel rehousing is the best option.

Story
Nellie is an 8 year old spayed female mini aussie who weighs 15 pounds. She was surrendered to our care when her previous owner was not taking proper care of her. They did provide a birthdate, but we suspect that she is younger because she is peppy, is good shape and really eager to please. Nellie is the first one to great any person, has tested great with other dogs and going to make a wonderful family addition. Story
Hello, my name is: JesseApprox. DOB: 1/1/2025Sex/Breed: Spayed female Aussie/Lab mix (best guess)Weight: 44 lbsRescued From: Found strayJesse turns heads wherever she goes! This happy girl was found as a stray but hasn’t let that slow her down—she’s confident, social, and ready to be someone’s adventure buddy. Jesse is great with men, women, other dogs, and would do best with older kids due to her playful puppy size. She`ll need a home without cats. She’s house- and crate-trained, sleeps through the night, and is learning her leash manners. Jesse thrives with physical and mental activity and would love a yard to stretch her legs. An ideal home would include another playful pup or an active family to help her burn off some energy. She`s the perfect age to learn the ropes and explore the world by your side. After playtime, Jesse is more than happy to settle in for a cozy nap. If you`re looking for a young, trainable, and loving companion—Jesse’s your girl! All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
