Story
Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Lenoir, NC Meet Ranger! He is an 1 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs around 40 lbs. He isn’t neutered, up to date on shots, or on heartworm prevention. Ranger is nervous around strangers! He is good with cats and dogs! No children, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Ranger nipped the owner’s autistic son who was creeping up on him. Ranger doesn’t like slow movements. He is currently living with the owner’s mother. The owner is surrendering him because he has anger issues and food aggression. He also doesn’t do well with kids or men. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Ranger, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Ranger. Owner’s Contact Information: Whitney at whitneylee00@gmail.com.

Story
Margot is a pure bred miniature australian sheperd (no papers) weighing 28 pounds. We adopted her almost 2 years ago. She turns six on August 5th. Margot has gone through an intense training program and knows ALL of her commands (Research Dog Wizard - Charlotte). She was trained on an e-collar system(Will give you all components of system). We have lots of pets. Margot is obsessed with herding them and keeping them out of the house. She is a perfect dog as long as the house is quiet and there is not a lot of company. The only time she has shown aggression is when food/treats are involved. She gets anxious when lots of people are around and we end up boarding her if we have a lot of company. She definitely LOVES females. She will bark at males whenever they enter a room. She is not aggressive just vocal. She is the BEST companion. She needs an alpha owner. Margot likes to be in charge. My husband and I are soft on pet discipline and this does not work well with this breed.

Story
Gracie she is a super adorable, friendly dog, loves to play and has her moments of being quiet . She does not like small dogs, she relates well to large dogs and medium size. She is a loyal dog and watch the house. I suggest that she is adopted by a family who has a dog experience because she suffers from anxiety.

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.May 13, 2024, 2:10 pm

Story
Dash is a sweet 1 1/2 year old boy rescued from a shelter. He is a cuddle bug that loves to receive and give affection. He is house trained and knows basic commands like sit, down, and leave. We would love to keep him, however he does not get along well with our other dog. He would do best in a home without other dogs. We are unsure of how he would do with small children. Dash tested heartworm positive and is currently on medication. He will need additional veterinary care for this very treatable condition. He is has a huge heart and is wonderful with humans, he just needs the right pet-free loving home where he can thrive and give LOTS of cuddles. Please contact if interested!

Story
Lupin, 3 years old, is a very loving and loyal dog. He is full of life and energy. We are looking to rehome him with someone who has a bigger space for him to run around and play. He also needs someone who has time and who is able to play with and train. He is very intelligent. Will not begin eating unless he hears "eat". You can try to trick him by saying "east" or "ear" but you won't fool him. He is loved and unfortunately we are no longer heathy enough to give him the home he needs.
