Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie Belle to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie Belle is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie Belle is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 35 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
Our precious, happy Aussie mix girl is called Momma Maggie.  A beautiful mother who gave birth to 13 puppies of which 11 survived.  This girl was found as a stray and it was soon determined that she was pregnant and halfway along with her pregnancy.  Critter Cavalry Rescue made the decision it was just too risky for her to be spayed with a projected large litter.  At 40 pounds and with a stub tail, this girl is beautiful and always has a smile for her people.  Her foster mom says she has great recall and returns to you when commanded.  She is around a busy, young, 4 year old child and Maggie is very tolerant of his activity and noises.  She is good with cats and dogs alike.  We call this girl a social butterfly kind of dog that never meets a stranger and seems to share her sparkling smile with all she meets.  Car rides are fun if you make them that way with rewards and she rides very well with no motion sickness.  She is housebroken, crate trained and doesn’t tear things up in the house.  Watching a movie as she lays by your side is a favorite thing for her and you will enjoy her sweetness and good nature for many years.  She appears to be 1-2 years of age and has a lifetime of joy to bestow upon a family.  If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
My name is Tubbs and I am a 3 year old, 60 pound Aussie boy that found myself in a small town shelter in Middle Tennessee.   I have been in the shelter since November and because of finances and legal matters, the shelter has not been open to the public for adoptions.  I have had no promotion whatsoever to help me find a home until now.  I really, really need to get out of this place and have someone really love me and let me love them back.  I am good with other dogs from what they can tell.  I do think I need to get out of the small kennel run and have a place to stretch my legs and to help me stay positive.  I am neutered and healthy and happy for the most part.  I would be MUCH HAPPIER if I was NOT in the shelter.  Maybe if you cannot adopt me…could you foster me?  I need exercise and someone who is dog savvy and training smart.  We Australian Shepherds are very intelligent and we can test your abilities sometimes by being a little stubborn.  I promise to have fun and to be devoted to someone that is devoted right back.  If you are interested please write to Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.March 26, 2024, 11:20 pm

Story
Margot is a pure bred miniature australian sheperd (no papers) weighing 28 pounds. We adopted her almost 2 years ago. She turns six on August 5th. Margot has gone through an intense training program and knows ALL of her commands (Research Dog Wizard - Charlotte). She was trained on an e-collar system(Will give you all components of system). We have lots of pets. Margot is obsessed with herding them and keeping them out of the house. She is a perfect dog as long as the house is quiet and there is not a lot of company. The only time she has shown aggression is when food/treats are involved. She gets anxious when lots of people are around and we end up boarding her if we have a lot of company. She definitely LOVES females. She will bark at males whenever they enter a room. She is not aggressive just vocal. She is the BEST companion. She needs an alpha owner. Margot likes to be in charge. My husband and I are soft on pet discipline and this does not work well with this breed.

Story
# Peter Pan: A Journey from Fear to Trust Greetings! My name is Peter Pan. My journey began when I was left at a shelter, a place that was quite daunting. Fortunately, a rescue group took me under their wing. I can be a bit apprehensive and wary of new faces, often trying to appear intimidating. But with time, patience, and proper introductions, I warm up and become a bundle of love. I was fortunate to meet an incredible trainer who taught me to trust again. We've shared countless moments of play, laughter, and cuddles. Through 'training', I've mastered commands like sit, stay, come, and leash walking. I've learned that pulling isn't appreciated, and I'm now a well-behaved leash walker. My trainer believes I'm a fantastic dog (even one of his favorites!) and with the right home, I'll continue to flourish and reveal my playful personality. I'm currently seeking a foster home or perhaps my forever family. I'm an adventurer at heart, ready to explore any terrain. However, due to my love for running and playing, an apartment setting wouldn't suit me. I require a home with a fenced yard. I need an experienced owner who can provide strong leadership and guidance. Without it, I might try to assume the alpha role. But with continued training, I promise to be the best boy! I prefer observing small children from a distance and am more comfortable with older kids. Therefore, a home without children under 16 years old is necessary. While I haven't been officially tested with cats, I suspect I'd be overly curious, making a cat-free home ideal. But I do enjoy the company of other dogs who are accepting and playful! Could my happily ever after be with you? Note: The training I received includes lifetime touch-ups. Once I've settled in, my trainer will provide sessions to help me adjust to my new home and offer group training sessions most Saturdays at local parks.
