Story
Looking for a BETTER place for our 6-Year-Old Black Tri-color Australian Shepherd. He is a very smart and cuddly dog who loves to play fetch. We are heartbroken to even consider rehoming him, but his reactivity has turned into aggression because he is in the wrong environment (trucks, bikes, kids, strollers..) We went to many trainers and a certified behavior specialist who strongly advised against keeping him because he can’t be trusted around children. If there is anyone in a remote area without children, male dogs or cats please reach out.

Story
Introducing Comet in Mooresville, NC- a beautiful red tri Aussie and the absolute best boy! Comet will be 8 years old on Dec. 21st and comes to rescue due to a military deployment and change in living arrangements. He weighs about 45 pounds and is an all around great pup that is HIGH Velcro! Comet would love nothing more than for you to love on him and pet him as much as possible 😊 He is well behaved with good leash and meal time manners. He takes treats gently and loves to play with toys and go for long walks. Comet is being fostered with 3 dogs and would not mind a canine companion although it is not necessary as he would be perfectly content to be the center of your universe! Comet can be playful and enjoys toys and even playing ball sometimes. His wish list includes a fenced yard but someone who takes him on long walks daily would make him very happy. He does have a prey drive (he thinks the parrot may be the most interesting squeaky toy he has ever seen) but he is easily redirected. He has not been cat tested so a kitty free home may be recommended. Comet is potty trained and has not had any accidents (we take him out at least 4 times a day). He is an early riser and needs to go out at 6:45am. He will gently wake you with his nose or you may just feel him staring at you. Comet will go into his crate (we give him a treat to sweeten the deal) but we have found him to be quite content to lay around the house and not destructive so we leave him out almost all the time. If you are looking for a companion to share long walks, hang out with and love on, Comet may be the boy for you. He has so much love to give and deserves his furever family! Comet is fostered in Mooresville, NC and a meet in greet will be required. Due to his size and enthusiasm, we recommend homes with children over 12. Here is the application: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoptions There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. All adoption fees are used for future rescue efforts.

Story
Meet Yoshi, who comes to us from the community. He is a 2-year-old, 53 lb., Australian Shepherd. He is very sweet and gets along with other dogs. Yoshi came from an owner who allowed him to live in the basement with his sister and a doggie door so has had little interaction. He is fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. Yoshi is also both crate and housetrained. He would love to find a forever home to be loved and live comfortably in. If you are interested in meeting Yoshi, please send us your email address to obtain an adoption application.

Story
Lora Lee is a very sweet dog that is just 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds.  She is said to be an Aussie mix with some Terrier.  Whatever the mix is we think she is a most unusual and truly a beautiful girl who well with other dogs in her foster home.  She is a friend to all and apparently she is house trained as long as taken out regular. Lola Lee is crate trained but cannot be left for long hours in the crate.  She is not leash trained  but is trying to improve.   We are requesting that applicants have a fenced yard for her because she is an active girl that needs to run and play with freedom and not at the end of a leash only. This beauty loves to cuddle and be by your side like your BFF and shadow. If you have another dog that would be great for her to have a playmate that can help her wear out her energy every day.  Lola Lee is a great girl and she is going to need an active family that can challenge and meet her need for exercise and be able to keep up with her.   She is really not a dog for a retirement couple that are ready to have a more laidback dog with fewer exercise demands.  If you are interested in this girl please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.November 5, 2024, 1:27 pm

Story
Sweet Skye Man has come to us as one of three Aussie mix older pups that are still impressionably young at just 8 months and 19 pounds. This handsome, yet shy boy, is looking for a family that will fill his soul with love and affirmation and confidence building lessons every day. He and his siblings were raised in an outdoor kennel with little to no love and attention. They were merely fed, but yet eventually were released to our Critter Cavalry Rescue foster mom.  Skye Man  is a sponge for life lessons and he is so receptive to human touch and love.  He is the smaller pup from his litter of three that we have in our care now. He is comfortable in a crate, but needs leash training.  There's so many exciting experiences and a wonderful family waiting for him out there. All he needs to have is the moment he is discovered and someone contacts Critter Cavalry rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com to ask if they can adopt him. We know that day is coming soon. He is fully vetted and neutered and ready to hop on the van to the home in the Northeast region or to just merely meet a new family in Tennessee where he resides currently. If you were interested please email us at the address we just gave.  Be sure to let us know where you live, city and state. We will be quickly responsive.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comNovember 5, 2024, 1:27 pm
